What to do with Enterprise Service when SAP is locked?

Sometimes SAP is running a month-end processing, or needs to lock out users, etc. What kind of best practices are there for handling situations when Enterprise Services need to lock out a user?

"error" 1 is not an error.  Read it again.
The second and third errors indicate that the files are corrupted.
You may have a bad disk or file server.
They have nothing to do with the platform -- PSD files are the same between platforms.

My next working  with enterprise services in sap pi,would you please  tell me what r the skills required to reach the target

For SAP PI  you need to have ABAP skill or Java  skill and good idea of  XML .
Use below documents for further clarification of SAP PI and ESOA.

  • Configure, Test, and Consume an Enterprise Service in SAP CRM ABAP 6.0

    Hi all,
Can anyone provide me any document on how to Configure, Test, and Consume an Enterprise Service in SAP CRM ABAP 6.0 (2007) ???

    Hi,
there are tons of documents about consuming and producing web services. This question has been also asked on this forum many times. Check for example section eLearning. There are couple of tutorials related to web services. I would start with SAP documentation. The web services are capability of NetWeaver so it does not matter if you have CRM or ERP system. The tools are same.
    Cheers

does anybody know what is wrong with the ipod when error 1437 is reportedduring the restore cycle?

Double check the connections on each end to make sure they are nice and snug. If possible, plug the Nano into another existing USB 2.0 port.
Also, with the iPod still connected, try resetting it. To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons (or the Volume Down and Sleep/Wake buttons on the 6G Nano) long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
Then try restoring the iPod again.

  • Unable to consume Enterprise Service from SAP Service Registry

    Hi,
I am trying to make use of a Enterprise Service available at the SAP's Service Registry (http://sr.esworkplace.sap.com/) in a Composite Application. I am using NWDS 7.1 for this purpose.
The steps that I follow are as follows.
    1) I try importing the Web Service by right clicking the external node under the Composite Application and give the necessary login credentials for the SAP Service Registry.
    2) I click on the "Show Advanced" link under which I make following selection:
    BrowseByApplication->ERP Foundation->Business Partner Data Management->Employee
Now my problem is after I select the Employee node, the 'Next' button is not enabled on the Service Registry wizard.
Can anyone give an indication of why this might be the case. You may also want to know that at this stage I have still not installed NW AS CE 7.1.
Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Shailesh

    Hi David,
Yes I was able to consume the ESOA enterprise services from SAP's ES Workplace, although I am not inside the SAP network.
As mentioned by me in my earlier post, the problem that I was facing was faced because I used to access internet through an internal proxy server which required me to pass my NT domain credentials.
In order to access ES workplace from NWDS would mean that NWDS will have to access the internet, but this used to fail despite my specifying the proxy server settings in the Preferences menu of NWDS.
I was able to overcome this problem by installing an ISA Firewall client on my m/c and in the proxy settings of the NWDS specifying a direct connection to the internet. This helped me to access the SAP's ES workplace inside NWDS, once you are able to select the available ES from the SAP workplace you will be able to utilize them in your application.
Also, once you deploy the application, the runtime, i.e. WAS will also have to be configured to access the internet, this can be done by specifying proxy settings under Global System settings options.
    Hope this helps,
    Shailesh

    Hi Gaurav,
Thanks for responding. Yes, all the backend config are in place since I am able to successfully run an equivalent RFC (BBP_PD_SC_GETLIST) and another RFC named BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL from SE37. The problem seems to be something very specific to the ES. May I request you to run this ES at your end (if possible) and let me know the result possibly with the input and output message similar to the one I pasted in the origincal question.
    Thanks in advance,

  • Enterprise service in SAP Netweaver mobile application

I want to use an enterprise service in a mobile web dynpro application using SAp Netweaver Mobile 7.1.Is it possible

    Hi Pablo,
We are actually working with CE. Here we checked the following configurations:
    1. Network connectivity from your IDE (Window>preferences>general-->network connections).
    2. Http proxy settings of the server (http://<host>:<port>/nwa/middleware-settings)
I think the problem is with your server's http proxy settings.

  • What is up with customer service lately???

Apple is the product of choice in my household and has been for many years.  I work on a MAC, have two Iphones, several Ipods, two original Ipads and recently brought an Ipad2 for my youngest child.  I have not even had the product for a month when this occurs:  My child was working on the Ipad2 and went to pass it to his brother who was on the coach next to him.  It slipped out of their hands and fell less than 12 inches to the floor.  Before I could get to the Ipad my youngest son picks it up and cuts his finger open on the glass.  The Ipad2 was cracked in the bottom corner and the glass shattered into tiny pieces. I put the Ipad away.
I call up Apple and explain my situation.  I get the most ridiculous response from a supervisor.  She claims that she can not help because when the repairs department opens a box that is sent in and see a broken screen they will automatically look in the system for a credit card number.  They want $269 to fix it.  As if there is no way she can over ride this.
For a company that is supposed to be so great with customer service they seem to not care so much about customer safety.  How do you promote a product and say that it is so great for people of all ages.  Yet not take into account that your product is composed of a highly breakable substance like glass and may have accidental damage.  You promote apps for young children to use with your products yet when they get injured using your product you are of no help.  I would really like some resolution to this situation.  I have never had any problems with your products and have always praised your customer service very highly.  This time around I was extremely disappointed.  Please help reinstate the faith I have had in Apple for a long time.

You really have to read what you write before clicking on "Add Reply".
Apple does not tell you to let your children play games on it; there is no ad content featuring diaper clad toddlers stumbling around on your elegant wood flooring carrying your iPad. In fact, these forums are filled with horror stories of people who have done just that.
Apple has not recommended that you just stuff it into your backpacks or your briefcases and then casrelessly, casually toss those items around as you seem to think is the normal way to use them. In fact, these forums are filled with horror stories of people who have done just that.
Apple does not recommend that you toss it around like a magazine, which most sentient beings would recognize as being in many ways different from a sophisticated manufactured item. In fact, these forums are filled with horror stories of people who have done just that.
Apple does not recommend that you fall asleep with it while watching videos, or watch videos with it propped up on the edge of the tub, or anything of the sort. In fact, these forums are filled with horror stories of people who have done just that.
Bottom line is you made a judgement call in allowing unsupervised young children access to an expensive piece of hardware that they, through carelessness, inattention, lack of coordination, whatever the reason ..... broke.
No new life lessons there, I think.

    Help!

    Hi,
From Control Panel, go to Java -> General tab, Temporary Internet Files
-> View... -> Delete all the content there.
    Then go to:
    > Integration buider page http://<host>:<port>/rep
    > Administration
    > Tab - Directory (Repository as well)
    > Java Web Start Administration
    > Restore Archives and Generate New Signature
If that does not helps, then you may try re-deploying the XITOOLS components
by using the JSPM and whe deploying, update it to the latest patch level.

    Not that I know.
However, you can always import the definition of the enterprise services you need into SAP PI (XI).
On basis of these interfaces, you can generate the proxies for the necessary services.
You then have to add yourself the code inside of the proxies -> that's of course the biggest part of the work.
For that last effort, you can always check the standard SAP code in an ERP system where the services are available (can be the systems of the sdn ESW), but I'm affraid it will not be as simple as "cut & paste" ...
Note that we used the technique above for Enterprise Services enablement of customer's ERP systems (5.0 and 6.0 where -as for you- suppl. install was not possible).

  • Doubt with Enterprise Services

    Hi gurus!!
I have found on the Enterprise Service Workplace the Service operation 'Find Contact Person by Name and Workplace' of the Enterprise Service Interface 'Query Business Partner' from CRM.
I want to consume the Enterprise Service through XI, creating an ABAP Proxy on SPROXY.
I can see the Software Component version in ESR is CRM 5.1.
I must download support package on XI and CRM to get the Software Component CRM 5.1?
How can I proceed with this information?
    Helpful answers will be rewarded.
    Thanks and regards,
    Manuel.

    Hi Manuel,
I guess you want to consume an Enterprise Service exposed in CRM box using XI.
Well to do this, you can follow the following steps.
Download the WSDL file of  the ES.
Define an external definition and import the WSDL file by clicking on the file link.
Define Interfaces (Inbound & Outbound) in IR .
While doing so, in Message type select the external defnition.
In ID, select SAOP Adapter on the receiver end and provide the connection paratemeters.

  • Replace patient create bapi with enterprise service

    Hi all,
I've compared the input data of the patient create bapi with the input message of the patient create enterprise service. There are some differences and so I don't know if it's possible to replace the bapi with the enterprise service. As example, the bapi offers input fields for contact persons (first and last name, relationship, address number) which are stored in the table NPAT.
In contrast, the enterprise service offers the input type dependent relationship with fields DependendId and RoleCode.
Which table does the service use to store the contact information?
Does the create patient service fill the same tables as the bapi?
Is it possible to replace the bapi create patient with the enterprise service?
    Best regards,
    Christian Sonek

    Hi Christian,
Enterprise services expose more or less the business partner interface whereas BAPIs expose the patient management interfaces complying to the former data model. As my colleagued described before, next of kin is handled as a separate business partner and due to that fact, services and BAPIs behave in a different way.
That means, in case a customer does not want to upgrade to the new patient management concept with using the central business parter he cannot create next of kin data with the PatientCreate service. In case he wants to upgrade to the new Patient concept and he agrees to store patients and next of kin as business partners, he can replace the API with the service.
Apart from next of kin data, the service for patient create can be used to create patients even with the old patient

  • Callable Objects (GP) with Enterprise Service.

    Hi,
    I have a question.
Is it possible, with a callable Object (GP), to obtain information on any budget, from ECC6, through a Web Service or Enterprise Service, provided by ECC6?
Is it possible, to modify and save the budget without using any bapi, but directly through an enterprise service, from ecc6?
    Thanks
    Regards
    David.

    Hi David,
If Enterprise Services for the underlying Business Objects ("Budgets" in ur case) already exists and you have the required enhancement pack, then definitely you can go ahead and use enterprise Services.
Otherwise, you can use the existing BAPIs and RFCs to modify the same business object (RFC, BAPI can be consumed from CAF).
And if you want your application to be SOA compliant. Then you can create new functions and expose them as web services, which can then be used from any other application to modify the business object.
    Hope this helps,
    Ashutosh
