What to erase in order to... Get back to FCP 6 !!!

Im sorry, once again i am terribly disappointed... I just bought the FCP 7 update and it turned my machines ultra slow... The slowest renders ever... New machines with new software should not behave this way, never.
Are we getting to used and comfortable with the "patch culture" ???, with the "we'll fix those bugs later" philosophy???, i think we are...
The thing is that, i dont care about the new version anymore. I want to reinstall muy good old FCP 6 version and i have erased all that i know there is to erase in order to reinstall FC Studio 2.
The problem is that during the install process, FCP and Color, are not selectable because the system is still finding "a newer version already installed", although i have erased it.
What should i erase so i can enjoy my good old version???
I should say that the FC Studio 3 media content folder is in my hard drive..., i'm moving it to an external hard drive and will try to install FC Studio 2 again...
Any advice?

I went to get my upgrade for FCS3 as soon as i knew it was out... I dont know why i always trust new mac software... It always has problems when it's new...
If you upgrade properly, then you will have no issues. Upgrade non-properly and you will have issues. You didn't do it properly. I did, and I have no issues with FCP 7...even upgraded mid-project. But installed on NEW drive, with NEW OS...have the old drive with the old stuff, just in case.
And well... i will have to disagree on this one. FCP 7 is the slower version i've ever known. (i started on mac os 9 with fcp 3...)
Because you installed on top of the other version, instead of installing clean. User error. But a common one.
i assume that again, its my fault 'cause i dont know how to install a new version.

Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.

Launch the Quicken application and try to open the file from there, if you haven't already. If that fails, and a simple restart of the computer doesn't help, try reinstalling the application. If that doesn't cure the problem, I would suggest you take this up in the Quicken Community:

Unfortunately I don't have iPhoto (running Windows).
I did, however, figure out a work-around.
I created an empty directory on my computer, and told iTunes to "Sync Photos from..." that empty directory. This deleted all the photos from the iPod (go figure).
I then set the "Sync Photos from..." dropdown back to directory that actually contained all my photos, and sync'd again.
And, yes, they all loaded onto the iPod at their better, higher resolution.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

What to do when AppleCare never gets back to you?

In the past, I've generally been satisfied with Apple support, and I pay extra for AppleCare for my MacBook Pro and iPhone 6 Plus.
But since upgrading to Yosemite and iOS 8 and my new iPhone I've had a handful of technical issues and have had multiple AppleCare support chats - some as long as 2 hours.
Each time they are unfailingly polite and "bubbly" and promise to get back to me. But so far nobody has gotten back regarding any of the issues.
This has been a couple of months now.
If I do another support chat they profusely apologize and again promise to get back, but never do.
What's a person supposed to do in a situation like this?

Can I erase and install and get back 10.4.10 and QT 7.2 ?

OS X 10.4.10
Quicktime Player 7.2
My Os X install disc says "10.4". I installed a while ago and upgrade to 10.4.10.
Can I "erase and install" and then upgrade again but only to 10.4.10 ? I want to also upgrade Quicktime only to 7.2
Is this possible ? Beside backing up my files, what should I be careful about?

With a lot of work finding the correct downloads, don't see any reason why not. With backups you should be able to do an erase and install from CD, then find the combo update to 10.4.10. Saw a link somewhere for it, maybe someone will post it. Or maybe you saved it from the last time, I do that for everything. Then check you version of QT.

Since i last left doing music like Three and a half years ago moving back to Jamaica in getting my career off the ground, so far it has been mayhem however i am still hanging in there, bless all you L.P. genius.

I miss not being here in the forum like for real though.

Logic 9 has not evolved beyond all recognition, but there have been some important 'under the hood' improvements. I too have had to cater to different needs for the past few years, so my logic knowhow is maybe not as cutting edge (if it ever was :p).
As far as I am concerned, one of the major improvements is the FLEX audio feature.

I have replicated a database to another server. Suppose replication is from A to B.
A and B databases are on different servers.
Now if my server A fails and I want all of my data back to the A, which is stored in B.
What is the best way to recover all my data to A from the replicated DB B.
I have tried performing replication again like from B to A, is this correct to do this job.
Please suggest!

Can't get back to 300Mbps with my wrt300n v1 router?

Hello All, My wrt300n, v1 router has always worked great, straight out of the box.
I use various adapter cards and have never had a problem? All of the cards have connected at their individual full speeds? Except 1 Airlink 300n that connects at 270mbps? Still very nice, and what I see most people connect at.
The main PC on the network has a Dlink adaptor card, and has always connected at a full 300mbps, until now. I just moved, had my broadband installed just today. Everything is back up and working except the main PC is only connecting at 130Mbps?
Here's what I did that may have caused this. I had both homes for 2 weeks; I left my modem and Router in the older house. So I could use my laptop there if I had to until the new house was hooked up. Well when I went over to the old house and tried to connect the laptop I couldn't? I connected to the router but couldn't get to the net? I thought it might be a router setting, now that the rest of the pcs were not on the network any longer? So I logged into the router settings and restored factory defaults? The laptop still had the same problem? I just disconnected the whole setup, brought it to the new house.
Cox came today to set up. They actually used my laptop to connect to the network and test the lines? It connected as soon as we turned it on and didn't have a problem? However, when I tried to connect my main desktop it only connected at 130Mbps? Now my network is just called linksys of course because I restored defaults. Could I have changed anything else that would affect the Mbps on this PC? I was going to upgrade the firmware a while back just for GP, however I don't think I did after I read here; "if its working don't mess with it"? As I said though, this PC connected at 300Mbps when I first bought the cards and I don't think I had to do anything to get it to do that? That was close to 3yrs ago, w/o a problem until now?
Sorry for the long post but I wanted to explain as fully as possible.
Does any one have the answers, or even an idea as to what I need to do to get back to where I was?

After you resetted your router you should try adjusting the wireless settings on your router...
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop).In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1
Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
Click on the Wireless tab
-Here select manual configuratioon...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
-Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
- Set the Radio Band to Wide-40MHz and change the Wide channel to 9 and Standard Channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on save settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WPA, For Encryption, select AES...For Passphrase input your desired WPA Key. For example , MySecretKey , This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network. Do NOT give this key to anyone.
NOTE : Passphrase should be more that 8 characters...
Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation...
Threshold to 2304 Change the RTS Threshold to 2307 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...See if you get the desired speed...If not you should un-install and re-install the wireless adapter...

Can't get back to root welcome page while logged in as administrator

Greetings all,
Something weird has occurred with our iTunes U channel. If I log in as primary administrator, I have access to the tools for creating dependent welcome pages. If I create a new dependent welcome page, and then click on the new welcome page to navigate to it and edit it, I get told "This page has no content. Click to edit".
Once I'm at this point (whether I edit the new page or not), I can no longer return to the root welcome page as an administrator. The "Back" button is greyed out. I can get back to the root welcome page as a non-admin user, for instance by clicking the name of my institution in the top right hand menu bar. This gives me an outdated root welcome page without any of the standard administrative links in the top right-hand corner, and there is no "Click to Edit" link.
In order to get back to the root page as an admin, I have to go back to the Admin login page in my browser, and go through the whole process of logging in again.
Has anyone had any experience with something similar happening to them? If so, how did you resolve the problem?
