What type of format is the PowerPC processor?

Just a simple question, what type of format is the PowerPC processor? I know Intel processors on later Macs is GUID.

Apple Partition Map is the PowerPC partitioning scheme equiv to GUID on Intel Macs. However, the format is normally Macintosh HFS+ (Journaled)

Hi Jasper and welcome to Discussions,
    iMac Computers (August 2007)
The iMac Computers introduced in August 2007, based on the Intel Core 2 Duo microprocessor, provide two RAM slots that accommodate 200-pin DDR2 SDRAM SO-DIMMs up to 1.25” in height. The SO-DIMMs must be DDR2-667 (PC2-5300) compliant and must be unbuffered, unregistered, 8-byte, nonparity, and non-ECC.
The iMac ships with one 1 GB, 667 MHz, SDRAM SO-DIMMs installed, for a total of 1 GB. The largest capacity SO-DIMM supported is 2 GB, for a total maximum of 4 GB.
Memory configure-to-order options are: two 1 GB DIMMs for a total of 2 GB or two 2 GB DIMM for a total of 4 GB.
The memory controller supports 1 GB and 2 GB SO-DIMMs; other configurations are untested. Because the memory in the two slots is configured as a contiguous array of memory, when both SO-DIMMs are the same size and type, the interleaving function is able to improve performance.
The iMac supports a CAS latency of 5.
The width of each 667 MHz memory bus is 64 bits.
The maximum number of devices per SO-DIMM is 16.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • What type of license should the user be assigned when passing transactions through the DI Server?

What type of license should the user be assigned when passing transactions through the DI Server?
We used to assign indirect access licenses to users that were just using the DI Server.  We have one add-on developer that says that the user has to be a Profession license. Current environment is SAP B1 9.0 PL10.  My understanding was that you could have up to 10 users assigned to a single DI Server license.

    Hi,
    From the license guide,
Indirect Access – has access to any SSP solutions (developed with the SAP Business One DI-API) only. The Indirect Access license is bundled with the DI server. Users who have an Indirect Access license can access a limited number of application forms, but cannot perform any functions with the SAP Business One application. Users who have an Indirect Access license can access an unlimited number of SSP solutions

The Technical Documentation for the Robot Daughter Module states that
the Robot Daughter Module will aspect up to four motors. Would you

The brand new Macs have Firewire 800, which looks like this (the end pictured on right):

So, you need a 4 to 9 pin which the link above shows. If you have an older iMac with Firewire 400, then you'd need the 6 pin, which looks like this (also on right):

  • How to make sure what material number format is the same in SRM and R/3?

    Hi all!
    I faced the following problem:
"Product does not exist in plant or it has been flagged for deletion". This error message occurs during shopping cart creation or during transferring purchase requisition from R/3 to SRM. It seems like SRM carries out some material checking in R/3 before shopping cart save and can't find out appropriate R/3 material. The only reason I can assume is different material number formats in SRM and R/3. Material number length is the same in both systems.
    Thanks in advance,
    Alexander.

    Alex-
We experienced this problem just recently.  Our situation involved trying to add a material to the cart from an internal catalog (CCM).  As mentioned earlier their is a configuration setting to indicate the number of characters the "Product" (SRM terminolgoy) or "Material" (R/3 terminology) should be.  We made our setting 18 characters (same length as field in R/3).  The important thing to understand is that the material number is actually defined as a character field, not a numerical field so the length of the material "number" is critical for the system to accurately check the material.  Do the following and see if you correct the error.
    1)  Go into transaction COMMPR01 in SRM, select the search tab and choose Material in the Find box, then click start.  Choose the material you are experiencing the problem on and verify that the number of characters is the same in SRM as it is in R/3.
    2)  Next, go into R/3 and look at table entries in MARC for the material.  This will show you all the different plants associated with the material.
    3)  Finally, create a cart and procure the material.  If you get the error message go to the basic data of the cart and verify the location (plant) is one of the plants you found in step 2.  If not, change the location to one from step 2 and check the cart.

Yes, you can change the Security on your Router -Also change the SSID to avoid extra troubleshooting...
Open an Internet Explorer browser page on your wired computer(desktop). In the address bar type - 192.168.1.1 and press Enter...Leave username blank & in password use admin in lower case...
For Wireless Settings, please do the following : -
    Click on the Wireless tab
    - Here select manual configuration...Wireless Network mode should be mixed...
    - Provide a unique name in the Wireless Network Name (SSID) box in order to differentiate your network from your neighbours network...
    - Set the Radio Band to Standard-20MHz and change the Standard channel to 11-2.462GHz...Wireless SSID broadcast should be Enabled and then click on Save Settings...
Please make a note of Wireless Network Name (SSID) as this is the Network Identifier...
    For Wireless Security : -
Click on the Sub tab under Wireless > Wireless Security...
Change the Wireless security mode to WEP, Encryption should be 64 bit.Leave the passphrase blank, don't type in anything...
Under WEP Key 1 type in any 10 numbers please(numbers only and no letters eg: your 10 digit phone number) and click on save settings...
Please make a note of WEP Key 1 as this is the Security Key for the Wireless Network...
    Click on Advanced Wireless Settings
Change the Beacon Interval to 75 >>Change the Fragmentation Threshold to 2304, Change the RTS Threshold to 2304 >>Click on "Save Settings"...
Now see if you can locate your Wireless Network and attempt to connect...

  • What type of user is the happiest with Aperture?

No I don't mean pro versus amateur as I have seen the extremes in both cases.
I use Bridge/ACR/CS2 as my exlusive workflow. While I find the interface of Aperture to be slicker than Bridge, what is under the hood is the most important. RAW-Bridge-ACR-CS2-output(print and file from CS2)-Bridge(management) is fast, predictable, flows very well, and allows me a wide range of control over output.
I never liked iPhoto, and after using Aperture, I dislike it for the same reasons that I don't like iPhoto.
I see Aperture as the following: since RAW-Aperture-ACR/CS2-output(from CS2)-Aperture does not work as Aperture has no way of allowing ACR in the loop then it would be RAW-Bridge-ACR-CS2-output-Aperture, with additional output being from CS2, NOT Aperture.
So, are the folks who are from the Bridge/ACR/Version Cue/CS2 crowd the ones who like Aperture the least?
    Just my thoughts.

No I don't mean pro versus amateur as I have seen the
    extremes in both cases.
    <...>
Personally I would say the larger volume of images a person has to work with, pro or am, the more likely they are to find Aperture of use. Because it eliminates a trip to PS for so many small tweaks it can save a lot of time over many images.
    <...>
I see Aperture as the following: since
    RAW-Aperture-ACR/CS2-output(from CS2)-Aperture does
not work as Aperture has no way of allowing ACR in
the loop then it would be
    RAW-Bridge-ACR-CS2-output-Aperture, with additional

    <...>
Not quite sure I understood the very last bit, but Aperture does have a way of allowing something like ACR in the mix - 16-bit TIFF input.
My camera is not even currently supported by Aperture. However I don't really care, I am simply bulk-exporting images as 16-bit TIFF files and working with them in Aperture from there. Automatic export options get the image quality rather close and I can fine-tune from within Aperture as needed. If unhappy with a base image I can always just overwrite the stored TIFF representing the "master".
The only downside I see is space, as the TIFF's are rather large. I don't consider the conversion to be much of a downside since I do that in batch.
I used to think people who did heavy Photoshop work would not be as happy with Aperture but I don't think so anymore. It's very easy to move back and forth between Aperture and a complex Photoshop document keeping all the layers intact - the important thing I think is to think of moving to Photoshop as a final step (no more Aperture edits) or disk space use can get out of hand really quickly.
Letting Aperture manage your related PSD's as well has a lot of benefits, like light-table use which I like as a very quick layout tool which replaces some longer trips to InDesign for me.
