What type of hdd is in the hp g60?

I have a G60 and the motherboard fried. I am currently building my own PC. Is there any chance I can use my HDD from my laptop in my desktop? If I can't, can I use my Windows 7 version and/or Office from the HDD?

Hi:
Even if it was legal to transfer your MS Office installation, you will not be able to because there is no installation file present on the hard drive to copy.
If you have the 25 character Office product key you needed to enter when you purchased MS Office, you can download and make your own Office 2007 or 2010 installation DVDs.
The Office 2010 Starter download does not work.

  • What type of wireless router is the 1st generation time capsule? Is it B, G or N. I'm trying to understand why our wifi signal is a bit erratic. Paul

what type of wireless router is the 1st generation time capsule? Is it B, G or N? I'm trying to establish whether its causing signal degradation as a result of conflicts with my BT Home Hub router.

The 1st generation Time Capsule is an 802.11"n" wireless router, but in default settings it produces a signal that is also compatible with "g" and "b" wireless devices.
If your HomeHub is in close proximity to the Time Capsule and it is also producing a wireless network, either the wireless on the HomeHub or the TIme Capsule should be be disabled to minimize the chances of wireless interference.
Interference may also be coming from any cordless phones you may have, or another nearby wireless network as well.

  • HT4175 what type of encrytion is on the iphone?

what type of encryption is on the iphone?

Every iOS device has a dedicated AES 256-bit crypto engine built in that is used to encrypt all data on the device at all times. In addition, the iOS Cryptographic Modules have been granted FIPS 140-2 compliance by the U.S. federal government on devices running iOS 6.

  • What type of HDD is used in the time capsule unit?

I was just wondering what type of Hard Disk Drive was used in the time capsule device. Is it a "SATA" type drive or is it a "SSD"? If it's a SATA drive how fast is it( e.g.: 5400 rpm or 7500 rpm ). If it is a standard HDD can it be replaced with a Solid State Drive or a Fusion Drive type HDD.

The hard disk changes with each generation of drive.. the original series were 7200rpm drives.. but as green drives became more readily avaialble and cheaper.. especially cheaper.. Apple moved to them.. The Latest TC uses WD green drives exclusively now..
Standard ordinary green WD are 5400rpm but maybe variable.
It is a slowish drive although probably just as fast as the original 500GB Seagate.
Now the important point.. there is no speed advantage in using a faster drive.. these boxes are processor-controller bound.
You can replace the slow green drive with an SSD and there is no improvement in speed.
Read the review where they did just that.
    http://www.anandtech.com/show/4577/airport-extreme-5th-gen-and-time-capsule-4th- gen-review-faster-wifi-/7
The SSD was marginally faster at writing.. the green drive did faster reads..

  • What types of NFC tags does the Lumia 920 support?

I bought some Mifare Classic 1k tags online hoping I could write and read some custom tags with the few apps on the marketplace but it doesn't seem the Nokia interacts with them well.
    I found this on wikipedia.
"At the moment BlackBerry phones and the Nokia Lumia 610 can't read/write Tectile stickers ". (which are apparently based on Mifare Classic.)
I have found no other mention of what types of tags are supported, so that is my question. What types of tags are guaranteed to work with the 920?

I've run some NFC tests with the 920 because I run an NFC marketing platform.
I wrote a review about the Lumia 920 NFC implementation http://www.tagonic.com/latest/easyblog/entry/nokia-lumia-920
Although this doesn't cover specific NFC tags I can confirm that it works well with MiFare UL tags. The use case of receiving a contact directly, and directing to web destinations works well.
Interestingly we haven't managed to successfully initiate a pairing with other NFC accessories (BH505 headphones or the 360 Speaker) at all. We'd be interested to know if anyone else has this issue.
But from a tag perspective we are confident that the Lumia 920 works with the MiFare UL tags.
Feel free to contact us at [email protected] if you are looking for some tags that you want to program to go to a web destination. We'd supply them pre-programmed and you can virtually re-program them using the platform as opposed to having to physically re-write the tags.

  • What type of battery is in the DROID MINI?

I know it is a 2000 mAh Li-ion. But I'd like to know what model it is?

    Hi,
My system has a MS-6382 mobo & I've got to change to the hard drive. I've been looking at ebay & the link below describes a HDD which has "ATA/133 or SATA interface and capacity of  120 GB"

ata 133 is just a marketing gimick.............only data moves that fast is 2mb in the drives cache
the drive will run at about half that speed once the cache is cleared
    dont worry about it
    Er, I got another question
I'm now looking at this hitachi model:
    http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?id=210&pc=dealtime#
which has good reviews (probably for others in the range). I originally saw it on ebay but it turns out to be cheaper buying it from the above supplier.
The question I have is does the MS 6382 support serial ATA? I'm reasonably sure that the above drive is parallel ATA (ie compatable with the MS 6382) because of the manufacturer's info here:
    http://www.hitachigst.com/hdd/support/d7k250/d7k250.htm
but I thought I'ld ask before I order it or in case I change my mind (again).
    Thankyou for your help

  • What type of hdd caddy should i buy for Envy 15 3040nr notebook?

    Hi everyone,
I'm considering to replace my optical drive with a ssd in my Envy 15 3040nr. Since I don't have much expeience it would be nice if somebody can share his on this subject. What I need is full specs on the caddy I should buy along with the measures.
    Thanks!
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

Some Envy 15 models came with second bay inside aleady but need reference your model against the service manual downloadable from hp at the support link on this site.
If you don't have model with second drive bay then indeed a caddy for optical bay is easy option.
Your optical bay is 9.5mm Sata interface & they are inustry standard so simple to buy.
    Example in link below >

  • What type of memory would be the best for my MacBook Pro 13" Mid 2010?

I have a Mid 2010 13" Macbook Pro and I'm going to upgrade my RAM. I know I can upgrade up to 8GB of RAM, but I was wondering what is the best "brand" and what website I should buy it from. For example, eBay, NewEgg, Amazon / PNY, Crucial, etc?  Can you guys help me out? Thanx!

No one anywhere has repeatedly bought RAM from every RAM vendor everywhere, so no one is able to answer your question on the basis of experience. My own experience has been that OWC is a 100% reliable vendor of Mac-compatible products, including RAM, at good prices, with outstanding support and a warranty you can depend on. here's the RAM you need on OWC's site:

  • What type of event handling does the JList has?

    hello
I know how to use handling using " anonymous inner class " when handling a JList, I don't like this way it is so confusing I would like to use the same way of handling JButton like this:
class Class1 extends JFrame implements ActionListener
//and the method is this one
public void actionPerformed( ActionEvent event )it is much better than the anonymous class. What is the handler of selecting in JList? is it this one?
    ListSelectionListener
    and the method is this?
    public void valueChanged(ListSelectionEvent e)
I'm new in GUI Components so that's why I want to get used to the same old way of handling that I learned earlier :)
Could you provide me with an example please?
    thank you

Have a look at [Selecting Items in a List|http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/uiswing/components/list.html#selection] in Sun's Tutorial. The ListDemo class implements ListSelectionListener.

  • What type of file is required to copy a film to your ipad

Trying to copy avi films to ipad and they won't copy across.  What type of film file will the ipad 2 take?  anyone know?

Look under Audio Playback and TV and Video in the iPad tech specs:
    http://www.apple.com/ipad/specs/
AVI videos are not natively supported on the iPad, through there may be a third-party player that would handle them; it depends on the codecs used (AVI is a container format, not an actual video or audio format).
