What type of new HHD for my DV6915nr?

I need to purchase a new Western Digital WD3200BJKT hard disk drive for my daughters dv6915nr laptop.
Question #1:  Does it matter whether a 3 G/s or 1.5 G/s drive is installed?
Question#2:  Would the Western Digital WD3200BJKT's  'free fall sensor' cause any problems?
The link to specifications for the WD drive is:  http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.asp?driveid=478

That hdd should work fine. You really can use almost any 2.5" SATA laptop hdd in it, up to 500 gb.

    Hi joannep59572680,
The terms haven't changed recently. ExportPDF subscriptions renew annually, unless your turn off Auto Renewal before your renewal date.
Do you have a specific concern about your subscription?

  • What are the new features for the latest version ...

what are the new features for the latest version of N6300? can you cite me the newest features?

The latest update was just bug fixes and improved stability, no new features. That is nearly always the case with series 40 phones like the 6300.
Nokia do not make the changelogs available publicly but often they do appear on unofficial sites. Searching google may provide you with more detailed info that cannot be posted here.

I just got iTunes 11.0. From all the previous versions I'm used to being able to return to the beginning of a song by hitting 'enter'. What's the new command for skipping to the head of a song?

Mmmmmm. Works OK for me. I've tried every variation I can think of. Play from playlist, play from library, shuffle on, shuffle off, single song repeat on/off, playlist repeat on/off.
WAIT !!   Now I've found it  !!  It happens when I have the sidebar hidden and play a playlist from the PLAYLIST pane. Hitting Enter then takes me to the FIRST song in the playlist.
WAIT AGAIN !!! In the time it took to write the above, it changed again and works properly. Well properly is not really true. It works if I stay in the PLAYLIST pane. If I switch to the SONGS, ALBUMS or ARTISTS pane, enter does nothing. BUT, if I switch to the GENRES pane, enter starts the first song there. AND, if I've switched away from the PLAYLIST pane and switch back, enter then starts the first song in the playlist.
WOW !! That was a crazy ride. I think we can safely say that there is something awry.

  • What type of new harddisk to install (MacBook Late 2008)?

    Hi,
I have a MacBook 13" Late 2008 (alu version) and would like to expand my hard disk memory.
What type of harddisk do i have to look for? Can I expand my memory up to 1TB? And is it preferably doing this myself rather than by a professional? Any tips?
    Thanks a lot,
    F from Belgium

You can but HD's are expensive right now due to monsoon flooding
in Indonesia and 1TB will be expensive. You might check newegg's
selection as they have very good, comprehensive and critical product
reviews. You might consider going to a 7200 RPM drive vs. your 5400.
To minimize any sensation of vibration, investigate the WD Scorpio
Black series that combines speed and quietness with a five year
warranty. You are certainly able to do the job yourself using the
included instructions or videosthat are widely available, especially i
f you will spend a few bucks on the small Torx screwdriver (I believe
you will require the T6). Another good supplier who provides install
videos is Other World Computing (macsales.com).
Good luck and all best, Tom

  • What type of HBA needed for 220 R to connect to 3100 JBOD

    Hi
We have a number of 3100 JBODs that are not currently being used and I am planning to use them to connect to the 220R server. What type of HBA we would need to make that happen.
    Thanks
    Srini

Sorry, you won't be able to connect an Sun Storage Array 200 to an Intel server. The array uses a Sun sbus HBA. It is commonly known as a SOC adaptor and is only available in sbus, so the array can only be connected to Sun sbus systems, not pci systems.

  • What is the new coding for types ??

I do when I change one of my programms a check to see if all coding is still valid
    now I have
    types: BEGIN OF ty_zcs_operatielijst_alv.
           include structure zcs_operatielijst_alv.
    types: cellcolors TYPE lvc_t_scol.
    types: END OF ty_zcs_operatielijst_alv.
    but the check says
The current ABAP command is obsolete
Within classes and interfaces, you can only use "TYPE" to refer to ABAP Dictionary
    types, not "LIKE" or "STRUCTURE".
    Internal Message Code: MESSAGE G/B
(The message cannot be hidden using pseudo-comment "#EC .., bzw. durch SET
but when I change it to type it is also not good ??
and when I press F1 on types I don't get the message that include structure is obsolete coding in types ?
where can I found out how to code this correctly ?
    kind regards

thanks, I only tried below coding and haven't thought of combining include with type
    TYPES: BEGIN OF ty_zcs_operatielijst_alv.
                TYPE zcs_operatielijst_alv.
        TYPES: cellcolors TYPE lvc_t_scol.

  • What type of firewire cable for 2006 iMac?

I asked at Best Buy and they gave me 4pin, didn't work. I looked online and got 9 pin, it fits the MBPro we're trying to connect the iMac to but not the iMac. So I know I need a 9pin for the MBPro but what should the other end be? Everything I saw online said 9 pin but its clearly not even the right shape to fit the port on the back of my computer... FWIW, I'm trying to connect to the MBPro so we can boot from their HD and install a new OS on our computer becuase the cd rom drive on mine is broken.

    You need a cable like
    http://www.amazon.com/Oyen-Digital-Firewire-1394B-Cable/dp/B0027DPM1U/ref=sr_1_1 ?ie=UTF8&qid=1319759339&sr=8-1
You should be able to get one at BBY, RadioShack, Fry's Electronics or of course Amazon.

  • What does the new update for the ipod do?

I keep looking. I have an Ipod from 2003 20gb. Iv'e never updated the software so I found the updates but I cant find anywhere that states what the updates do for my Ipod Im tired of looking. Please help!

    Hi Jeff,
I also have an old 20GB i-Pod and I too wanted to know what was in the new version, but like you I couldn't find a list of features or bug fixes or whatever.
I was happy with the i-Pod and I believe in the old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", however, I also heard that the new i-Pods have on-the-go playlists, which is a feature I would really like. So, long story short, I used the new updater, the i-Pod now runs ver1.5 but there is no on-the-go feature. I'm guessing it's not supported for my old Hardware. As a compensation, though, I swear it sounds a bit better than before - dunno if there is a new decoder algorithm in the update. Haven't really answered your question, I just want to warn you that if you want to update for a particular feature, it might not be there. Apple really should publish a feature list for all versions. Good luck Jeff.

  • What type of connectors needed for optical audio out?

Hi, looking at upgrading to an imac and I noticed on the spec it has optical audio out which would be great to go into my audio interface. What connector do I need? Is it TOSLINK type?
Had a look at the picture of the rear but couldn't see an optical out port, only the jacks for analogue. Where does the optical come out!?
    Thanks!

If you want to connect the iMac to something that has Toslink then you would need a cable similar to this:
    http://www.amazon.com/6ft-Toslink-Mini-Cable/dp/B000FMXKC8/ref=pdcp_e_1?pf_rd_p=413863501&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0002MQGRM&pf_rd_ m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rdr=1TDMZGX7YP22Q17RP1X3
I use one myself, they work fine.

  • What are the new defaults for JavaScript?

Quote: "Enable JavaScript" preference checkbox has been removed and user-set values will be reset to the default
That is a very vague statement. The checkbox has been removed, but
    (1) What are the "values" which are now the defaults?
    (2) Where do I find them in about:config?
    (3) Has this change affected the NoScript extension?
If the devs cannot think of anything better to do than to fix features that are not broken, then they should be fixing the known bugs and investigating the reported ones.

@jscher200: Why is my bullshift meter reading 99%?
Whether JavaScript was enabled was not a problem. It was enabled by default and anyone who disabled it should have had no problem finding it again. The three actions which were blocked unless the user also enabled them respectively were what mattered. Cor-El's answer does not give enough info as to how to prevent those "features" of JavaScript from being used.
For what it is worth, I'm not looking forward to another change:
"Simplified interface for notifications of plugin installation"
My guess is that whoever decided to "simplify" the interface sacrificed security for convenience -- as if the Internet is safer now than it was when that interface was created. If that interface was too complicated for you -- or just too slow for your Red Bull brain -- then you have neither the wit nor the wisdom to be using the Internet, regardless of the "simplicity" of the browser.

  • What are the new gestures for touch screens?

According to the help file with the Windows 10 Technical Preview for Enterprise build 9879 the same gestures that work on Windows 8.1 are supposed to work on Windows 10.
I cannot get swiping down from the top of the screen or the bottom of the screen to function in Modern apps. It worked fine on the same computer (Dell Venue 11 Pro Core-i5) in Windows 8.1. The touch screen works for other gestures such as swiping in from
the left or right, selecting, etc.
So to close an app, I can no longer swipe down from the top. I have to tap the X in the upper corner, or bring up the new switcher and  close it from there. It's also difficult to bring up the additional menus in Modern apps. For instance, the Mail
app has menu options to move a message to a folder. I used to be able to swipe up from the bottom to bring up the menu items. Now I have to try to tap the ... in the lower right corner. On a smaller display, this is difficult.
I also noticed that ALL apps run on the desktop now. When launching a Modern app such as the included Mail app or the Facebook app from the store, they run on the desktop in a windowed mode with the taskbar visible. You can maximize them, but they are just
full screen windows on the desktop. They don't run in full screen mode like in Windows 8.
Windows 10 was supposed to add back features from Windows 7 to make it easier to navigate with a keyboard and mouse while retaining the existing Windows 8 functionality for touch screen devices like tablets. The current build is much harder to use on a tablet
    than Windows 8.

The latest update was just bug fixes and improved stability, no new features. That is nearly always the case with series 40 phones like the 6300.
Nokia do not make the changelogs available publicly but often they do appear on unofficial sites. Searching google may provide you with more detailed info that cannot be posted here.

  • What is the new features for LabVIEW7.1(Spring,2005)?

    Hi,
I am using LabVIEW7.1 Professional (Fall,2004) and we just ordered LabVIEW7.1 Professional (Spring,2005). I am wondering what are the difference between Fall and Spring versions and do I need to update my current one? Thanks for your answer.
    Tbird

    Good Morning,
As was mentioned in the previous post there doesn't seem to be any additional changes since the 7.1.1 patch. On that note, it appears that the quarterly CD's just sent out don't include that patch, as we just installed LabVIEW on a machine Friday (tried to anyway!) and LabVIEW came up with version 7.1, even though I had the IT folks use the cd we had just received (the Quartely one). I said "tried to" as when they were done with the install there was a problem booting the machine, WindowsXP Pro SP2 giving a set of error messages, the first two claiming that the NI licensing executable (I don't remember the exact name at the moment) was trying to write to memory that it couldn't, and then when clicking past the two instances of that a message stating the Windows was having a problem. They were able to get the machine to start in "Safe Mode", and LabVIEW appears to be installed at that point (loads, runs apparently ok), so we don't know what went wrong. They are going to look into it more this morning and then probably scrub and reinstall everything. :-( So I guess my question is, has anyone used the quarterly update to install LabVIEW (the cd set really is to send out the NIDAQ 7.4 update)? If so, did it go ok? I've been installing LabVIEW for 13 years, since the days of bunches of blue floppy disks, and don't recall having anything like this happen. Thankfully, due to my customer's internal policies, the IT group was doing the install rather than me!

  • What type of AC adapter for taking U.S. MBP to Europe???

Has anyone in the U.S. taken their MBPro to Europe and used an AC adapter to plug it in there?? I'll be gone for 3 weeks and my battery has just crapped out on me, with not enough time to ship it for a replacement before I leave, so I'll need to plug it in to work while I'm there. But I'm terrified of getting the wrong kind of adapter and frying this expensive monster, not to mention all my data. Can anyone point me to some specific products that would work specifically with a Macbook Pro?? It's my understanding that I do NOT need a converter or a transformer, just plug adapters, but do I need to look for something that will work specifically with my laptop, and what sort of ratings should I look for to be completely safe? I'm using the cord and charger that came with the laptop. Thanks for any help!

Does the adapter need to provide a real ground? My son is taking his to Italy for a semester, but will be traveling around Europe. I found one grounded adapter for Italy (and only Italy - it has three round posts in a row), but everything I've looked at doesn't provide a ground (there's a spot to accept it, but it's a dummy). Since his MBP is the only electronic item any of us have that has a 3-prong plug (we have two Windows laptops that only have 2 prongs), I'm not sure if this is just a "just in case" thing or if it's really needed.
