What "user name"???

I need to use the web-based utility, but I get the prompt for "user name" in addition to "password." I think I know my password, but what is my user name? Please help the novice to wireless network.

By default the user is left blank and the passowrd is admin. Since you think you know your password try leaving the user blank with your password. Some routers depending on the model do have the default user as admin with a password admin.

Hey, I got left and right confused late one night No problem.
I mentioned it only because I once used that software and only because I checked it before upgrading to Leopard did I realize it didn't work too well, even with Tiger.

Sharing documents between Macs - what user name should I use?

I have been trying to set up a shared folder on our main work Macbook so that my Macbook can access and edit the documents in that folder.
I have created a username "lastnamefirstname" on the main macbook and enabled permissions on that username to read and write.
However, when I connect to the folder with that exact user name, all the files and folders show up as read only.
Should the username be exactly the same as my computers name? Or can it be anything? I've tried different combinations of "lastname firstname", "firstname lastname", and I've tried deleting all the login details from my keychain and retrying, but I'm still coming up against the same problem.

I think you just have to set up a validation, you don't need an exit for that. You can do that in GGB0. On the other hand due date as field does not exist, so don't look for that

In order to install SAP NetWeaver 7.0 - Java and ABAP Trial Version on Linux - VMware Edition , I download SLES10 SP1 Vmware SAP version from novell, when I played SLES10SP1_Test_Drive.vmx,
the suse linux enterprse server was start. It asked me to input user name and password. I input slesuser and password is novell. But it was not correct. Who knows what user name and password I need input?

I have the same issue, I tried user root and password root doesn't work I've tried couple fo "stupid" word or root user but didn't work
Looks like we both missing file "index.html" so I suppose this is bug from Novell and SAP
I will let you know if I found anything.

N97Update User Name & Password

I have a N97 running V 10.0.012 & I am keen to update the software.
Each time I try to do so it tells me it has an invaild user name & password.
Can someone tell me what user name & password it requires as I am having no joy !!!

This is how we fixed the N97 of one of our managers that wouldn't update from v11 to v12, hopefully the same will apply to a phone on v10:
Go to Menu > Applications > SW Update.
Unselect Phone software.
Select Install Before Phone Software.
Select Options > Start update.
After the update is successfully completed, select Phone software.
Select Options > Start update.

TM wants user name and password to backup to USB disk on AEBS

1) I have mounted a USB drive in the Finder. It asked for the password I assigned, all is well
2) Go to Time Machine Prefs
3) Choose the remote USB disk as the target
4) Then Time Machine brings up a dialog asking for a username and password so that "Time Machine can access the file server "Airport Extreme.""
What user name and password is it looking for? I don't have any associated with the AEBS. There is the password for the AEBS itself, there is the disk password and the network password. But no user names. I didn't choose accounts when I setup the disk, I chose disk password.
Nothing I have tried has worked, not the admin accounts on my computer or the password for the base station. AppleCare says this is unsupported and they aren't trained on it ... just trying to find out what I have misconfigured.

By more trial and error I discovered the solution was username="Administrator" and password was the password for the disk or the network, not sure as both are the same.

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

What is the default user name and password for oracle databse 10g

Hi: gurus, I just recently installed the oracle 10g personal edition and trying to log on to the enterprise manger, but can't figure it out the user name and password, can some one help me and tell me what is the default user name and password to logon to the oracle instance. BTW during the installation I choose two passowrds one for the schema and one for the global database orcl. I wonder will I be using one of these passwords. Still I don't have any clue for the "User Name".

system/manager and sys/change_on_install are still valid default passwords when database is manually created. If DBCA was used, passwords will be those defined at creation time inside DBCA.
In case passwords have been forgotten, those can be reset:
From an OS commnad prompt, set ORACLE_SID, ORACLE_HOME and PATH environment variables, just to make sure you are pointing to the right Oracle Home installation, and issue:
OS> sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL> alter user sys identified by yourNewSysPassword;
SQL> alter user system identified by yourNewSystemPassword;
And you're done with it.
