What version of Firefox should I maintain if I am using mac version 10.4.11 ( Power PC)?

I am asked to update Firefox, that the version I am currently using won't be supported for much longer. How can I upgrade, if my operating system is incompatible? All the updates are for Mac version 10.5 or higher (Intel), I have Mac version 10.4.11 ( Power PC).

So basically, if my computer gets infected, it's my fault because i don't want to spend money I don't have, on a new computer, and Firefox decided that those that have Power PC computers (I bought the computer 1 year before the new chip computers were available), should buy a new computer.

    Josejanko,
You don't supply much info other than your machine is old, so here is some info for you to check thru.
Before doing anything you should have a back up, preferably 2, in the event something goes wrong.
You would have to start by upgrading to Snow Leopard, you would need to buy the disk for about $20 here  http://store.apple.com/us/product/MC573Z/A/mac-os-x-106-snow-leopard
Check the the requirements to see if your machine meets them.
You would then need to run the 10.6.8 v1.1 combo update to get it to 10.6.8 Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1
You can then access the APP STORE and possibly upgrade to to further OSX.
You may have applications that will not be compatible with any thing past Snow Leopard, you can check those here Upgrading to 10.7 and above, don't forget Rosetta!
    http://roaringapps.com/apps
Office 2008 will not work with anything newer than Snow Leopard for an wxample
You may be able to upgrade to Lion or MT Lion or Yosemite, depending on your machine, from the APP STORE.
OS X Lion - Technical Specifications Lion

If you want to get the Vendor data in MDM from R3, the ideal thing you can do is use the business content that has been provided by SAP for Vendor Master.
    Please follow the link below to get the same;
MDM 5.5 SP06 - Business Content: Vendor (ZIP File)-
    https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/~sapidb/011000358700001119682007E
It will automatically cover all the fields pertaining to Vendor Master Data which should be taken into MDM.
If you still want to make any modifications, you can make the changes in the standard business repository for Vendor.
Take the repository from the zip fiel and keep in the Archive folder of the MDM server and Unarchive the repository.
    Hope it helps.

  • Can't print from Firefox using Mac G5, 10.5.8, Power PC processors

Problem developed after update from Microsoft. I downloaded an older version of Firefox (3.6.23), but problem persists. When I attempt to print a page, the printer responds and runs paper, but it is blank.

If by chance it's really the trial beta V3, it won't install on PPC Macs.
If it's 2.5, something else, possibly had it been installed on that machine before?
    I'd re-download, try again.

Buy an external drive 320G or larger (much larger is preferable). I do not recommend you use TM for this, instead download a copy of Carbon Copy Cloner and make a clone of your drive. Once this is done you have 2 choices, you can download and install Lion on your internal drive just as you planned or download and install Lion to the external clone, the 2nd method allows you to test the Lion install before committing to it. If the clone with Lion is to your liking then just clone it back to the internal.

  • What version of firefox should i use on my macbook pro 2011

I keep getting a message to update my computer to 3.6.16 and I think I did but the popup on my computer still says 3.6.13.  I also tried to download Firefox 4 from the Mozilla website.  I don't know what version I am really using now.  My computer is taking forever to change from one screen to another, so I'm pretty sure I screwed it up somehow.  Thanks for any help I can get.

Your choice what version. Standard wisdom is always use the latest  and therefore most secure.  Not all add-on's are ready to go for the latest versions however.

  • What version should be used on a Desktop Mac Intel Core running OS 10.8.5 and from where can I securely download it?

The desktop Mac I just bought used from a dealer came with Safari but I prefer to use Firefox. What version should I be using? The Mac is running OS 10.8.5. Please provide a trusted link I may use to download and properly install the correct version. Thanks.

    Hello,
The latest version of Firefox is 32.0.3. You can download a fresh copy of Firefox at:

or if you need a different localization:
    * https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

  • What version of Firefox for Mac OS 10.4.11

I tried to update to the latest version of Firefox, but it won't work on Mac OS 10.4.11 . Now I have NO firefox. What version should I try to re-install?

Firefox 3.6.x is the last available from Mozilla for PPC Macs. <br />
    For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4+ versions, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

  • How do I determine what version of Firefox I have and where do I go for updates/

Yahoo is 'suggesting' I upgrade to Firefox''' 8'''. How do I determine which version I currently have (there is not 'Internet Options' under Tools) and where to I go to find the updates withough depending on Yahoo?

    Hey kkwebb,
There is a KB article called [[Updating Firefox]] that should have all the info you are looking for. You can find out what version of FF you are currently using by going to the Help menu at the top left of Firefox, then choosing "About Firefox." That will not only tell you what version you are using, but it will also let you know if there is an available upgrade.
    Hopefully this helps!

  • A message recently appeared on my screen: "your old firefox should be updated to version 23.0.0.4959". Is this a genuine message from firefox or a scam?

The tone of the note that came up on my screen did not seem to be quite as usual and since I have been having trouble with viruses recently I may be being ultra careful. I just want to know whether the message is genuine and I Should click to download version version 23.0.0.4959. I could not find what version I am currently using so could not tell whether the new version number seemed reasonable.

Firefox doesnt use a URL to tell you that it is outdated. What is the URL? It is likely fake.
You should see [[Update Firefox to the latest version]] for instructions for updating correctly.

  • What version of firefox will support mp4 video tags without plug ins or extensions?

I have a web site that my users upload mp4 videos to my website. I use html 5 and use the video tags type movie/mp4.
The only browser that has worked without any add ins, plug ins or extensions is safari 4.x and safari 5.x with quicktime. What version of firefox will support playing mp4 videos without any add ins or extensions?

That will probably not happen if there are codecs used that require a license.

OSX 10.4 isn't the only limiting factor that you have, Firefox 4+ versions need an Intel processor.

Firefox 3.6.25 has basically the same security updates that the latest Firefox 9 version has - far better then what you now have.
