There is only one version of iPhoto. What version do you own? iPhoto is usually bundled with a Mac, so you should have a version. The current version 9.4.2.
How did you upgrade to 10.8.2 and from what version of OS X?
If you just did a plain upgrade without erasing the disk, then iVideo should still be in your Applications folder.

The only version that will work with a Mac OS X 10.4 system is ARD 2.2, which is the most recent version. 2.2 will work with 10.3 systems as well, so that's the one you need as of today.

The first reason why I'm suggesting this is because of the first question ask in this post;

For me, based on this, I do not see any reason why someone should not be running previous version than 10.4.11. If there is sleeping bugs running 10.4.3 and not 10.4.2, I'm suggesting to adress this issue instead because _there must be a solution to this_.

I recently purchased a new computer (mac mini with cinema display) and I need to get photoshop. I previously had cs 5 but was illegally downloaded so i need to actually purchase the download this time. I am trying to figure out if I should do one of the following or if anyone had any other suggestions:
1. Purchase Photoshop cs5 in full which is $699, then upgrade to cs6 when it comes out
2. Purchase a subscription to cs5 which is $35 a month, until cs6 comes out, then buy cs5 (does anyone know if it will be cheaper when they release 6?)
Just trying to find the most cost effective way to do this, need to buy this weekend so I can get started on editing. Also does anyone know if bridge automatically comes with photoshop when you purchase? Thanks!

I purchased my CS5 and will be purchasing CS6 - even without the deblurring! - so I'm not up on the subscription option, but PECourtejoie gave you a good idea in trying out the Elements, then Photoshop, to which I might add Lightroom.
I know a LOT of people, both full time professionals as well as serious amateurs, who love Lightroom, and they tell me they rarely open up Photoshop these days as Lightroom does +90% of what they need. As all 3 products are available on 30 day demos, that will buy you a lot of time until the grace period kicks in and you can go ahead and make your CS5 purchase.

What kind of monitor should I get for my Macbook Pro Retina?

I bought a Macbook Pro Retina to replace my old 2007 Macbook. When I hook my Retina up to my Acer 1080p LED Monitor, it does not display in full quality. I assume this is due to the size of the graphics card inside the laptop. My old macbook displayed a perfect picture on this same monitor.
I want to buy a new monitor that can display my Retina in full quality, but I don't want to break the bank to get a Thunderbolt Display. Any suggestions on a monitor I can get?

Try adjusting manually the resolution on the external monitor. You may have to degrade slightly the resolution on the built in monitor when you do this. I have been told that the Mac automatically tries to optimize the picture quality on the retina display at the expense of the resolution on the external monitor. You may have to "redistribute" manually the available resolution to favor more the external display.

I'd like to chime in and offer a differing opinion. The size factor of all SSD's don't leave much to question, but there are a couple other things that you can research and take into account.
The biggest thing to look for after the capcity you want is the connection speed. Your Macbook is last generation compatible with SATA 3.0Gbs transfer speeds, and while you can still utilize an SSD with SATA 6.0Gbs, your connection won't be able to fully utilize the full speed of such an SSD.
The upside is that SATA 3.0Gbs SSD's are selling for much less now on ebay and on Amazon since they are last generation, so you can pick one up on a budget. If money is not an issue and you'd like to spend a bit more for the latest generation SSD that you can transplant into the laptop you want to purchase after your mid 2009, a current generation SATA 6.0Gbs SSD is going to work fine and will also work great in whatever you upgrade to.

There are a lot of drives out there as others here will let you know, there are good NAME drives but they also fail, POPULAR drives also fail, select the one you are happy with for your system and how you plan to use.
i suggest if $ is not a problem get a big drive you will find someting to put on it and is better.
