What version of LR supports Lumix DMC LX7 RAW files? do I need to install Camera RAW plug-in?

The Camera Raw plugin is for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
The functionality provided by Camera Raw is already built in to Lightroom.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 was first supported in Lightroom 4.2 so Lightroom 5 will be fine.

J'ai constaté en utilisant iphoto '11 un effet "peigne" en filmant avec mon lumix DMC-LX7 en mode AVCHD FSH (entrelacé) sur mon IMAC récent OS X 10.8.4 (12E55).
De plus impossible d'importer les vidéos AVCHD PSH de mon lumix vers iphoto '11.

iPhoto does not support all video formats, nor even all versions of AVCHD. Video formats are dictated not by the file suffix but by the codec used to encode the information. There are a huge number of those.
A note on AVCHD: This format was developed for people who are shooting to edit the material afterwards. If you're shooting to edit, then iMovie or Final Cut are the correct home for this material. If you're not shooting to edit consider using one of the other video formats on your Camera.

Not sure what the oldest version is but Mavericks with iPhoto 9.5.1 does - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5955?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
Google may help you go backwards if you do not want to upgrade to Mavericks

What kind of TIFFs? Are they multi-layered, for instance? ACR will not open layered files.

OS 10.5.x is the max OS for Macs with a PowerPC processor. If your iMac has an Intel processor you can upgrade to Snow Leopard OS 10.6.x and possibly Lion OS 10.7

Sorry I'm taking to along, but I checked a few things using ACR 8.6
Saved a png as an 8 bit tiff, then to 16 bit. Changed the background layer into a floating layer, all opened in ACR.
It was when I added an adjustment layer, that it no longer opened in ACR.
Now what can I recommend? If you have Lightroom, you can Import and work on your layered tiffs that way. I hope this is a viable alternative for you, because I think ACR does have a problem with layered tiffs and I don't really know of any workaround, but you are free to explore.

Ok. That explains 8.3. I know some want to stay with 10.6 because they have software or hardware that won't work on anything later.

Your user library is hidden by default in Mavericks.
You can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu in the main menu bar:
Finder > Go
Then hold down to options-key ⌥, until "Library" appears in the drop-down menu. Select it and open the Library. Then look for the folder "Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins".
Alternately you could install the plug-in for all users in "/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins", in the "Library" folder directly on your sytem drive.

I'm sure there will be support for the camera eventually. But Adobe never announces that information in advance. It's possible that it could be added to the 8.7 final release and to the next update of Lightroom. But that depends on the timeline and if the engineers were able to get the camera in time to create profiles. You'll just have to wait and see.
