What version or model of the Macbook Pro is this?

I might get a Macbook Pro from a friend. I was looking at memory in the Apple store since I'm a web app developer and run local development servers on my laptops and would probably want to upgrade it to 2 GB or 3 GB, but I want to double check the specs below and figure out which Macbook Pro it is. Is this the very first version? From my understanding, all subsequent versions had the Core 2 Duo processor. Will I be sad I don't have a Core 2 Duo processor?
Y'know, if I ever get around to trying to digitize old family VHS tapes, will I notice a major performance lag with this machine instead of a more recent Macbook Pro?

Hi,
This looks to be almost the same spec as my system - one of the initial 15" Intel MacBook Pro's. It is probably fitted with the ATI Radeon graphics chip set, which if you have been following the nVidia story could be regarded as a bonus!
I use my MBP every day for everything from iTunes, iPhoto, MS Office, Accounts, Project Management and very occasionally the odd game and watching DVD's. It's also been used for converting old vinyl records to MP3's.
It may well be over two years old but it's still going strong and has a few more years life left in it yet.
