What went wrong in the Voyager Connection

We installed Business Objects XI 3.1.
We have SAP BW7.1 patch5.
Only ABAP stack is installed.
Xcelisus2008 SP2, Crystal Reports2008, Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.1 SP00, SAP Integration Kit, are installed in the specified order.
BW and BO are integrated. I have admin access to the BO system.
When I try to create a Voyager connection, I face a common error.
When I log into the CMC, to create a new voyager connection, it is throwing me some error.
I tried to explain my landscape as clear as possible.
I found out that there is a need of some driver or BAPI or some Function Module to bring the data from SAP BW/BI cubes in to Voyager.
My client does not have any other system other than SAP. We have a very robust BW system and my client is looking for using Voyager on top of SAP BW.
Please suggest any solutions, on how to connect the BW and Voyager system.
I FOUND OUT IN THE FORUMS THAT THE CONNECTION FOR VOYAGER AND SAP BW/BI MIGHT CHANGE IN THE FUTURE RELEASES. BUT FOR NOW WHAT IS THE SOLUTION IN MY LANDSCAPE. I DO NOT FIND AN ANSWER FOR THAT.
CAN any one please suggest me some threads or documentation or any other source.

Hi all,
The problem got resolved.
WHen we go to the CMC Home, and select the last option is "Voyager connections".
When we select that option, we used to get an error with the
red cross mark saying that the MDAS Client has to be installed on the server.
1. We reinstalled BO Enterprise completely on the server.
It worked out.
But there is a BAPI called OLAP BAPI which actually has all the methods to bring the data from BW/BI to Voyager.
This BAPI has been remote enabled and after the reinstallation everything worked fine.
Did not know that this was an installation issue.
But if anyone uses MSAS 2000 or 2005, I do not have any idea sorry.
But for SAP BW data sources, it was the installation which actually caused the problem.

What went wrong with the control autobackup
I started a rman autobackup incremental level 1 at 2 am, and I noticed that at the same time, system generated an error in alert log point ing to a trc file in udump:

can anyone tell me how to trace the error? there is no mention anything in the content.There is no indication of any error in the part of the trace that you posted. If this alert log trace entry and associated trace file is created every time the rman backup is ran and there is no error number or formatted dump information in the trace file then the trace may just be a left-over from development debugging. Oracle development has been known to forget to turn off trace and debug information before releasing the code to production in the past. This may be another example.
Otherwise you need to post the error messages in the trace.

When I try to export images from Lightroom or Bridge to Photoshop now I get a message that Photoshop won't start up when it is already open and running.
Update your graphics driver and/or turn off GPU acceleration in the Performance prefs.

That one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
tried synching iphone for the first time on new PC and got error followed by itunes logo and USB cable picture. No idea what went wrong and now phone is in this screen locked. please help!
I tried connecting to iTunes and neither the PC nor iTunes recognizes the device. I went through all the troubleshooting on the Apple website for this issue and nothing worked. I've reinstalled iTunes, the driver, everything and still can't get either the PC or iTunes to recognize the phone. I don't know what else to do :-( any help or suggestions are highly appreciated!
I would hate to have lost all my info, especially contacts and calendar items since I have no idea what was backed up prior to the phone getting locked on this screen. I've been told that my only option is to go to the phone carrier and they will reset it for me, but that means it will wipe out all the info.
I hope someone has a fix other than that one. -
what's wrong with the activation server? i just bought my ipad wifi celllular... and have a 3g cellular network connection... when i press the bottom to activate my ipad it says the activation server cannot be reached. what to do then?

I found the following that goes over troubleshooting the same issue for the iPhone. I know you have an iPad, but the steps should still apply:
Perform the following steps:
Restart the iPhone.
Try another means of reaching the activation server and attempt to activate.
Try connecting to a known-good Wi-Fi network if you're unable to activate using a cellular data connection.
Try connecting to iTunes if you're unable to activate using Wi-Fi.
Restore the iPhone.
If you receive an alert message when you attempt to activate your iPhone, try to place the iPhone in recovery mode and perform a restore. If you're still unable to complete the setup assistant due to an activation error, contact Apple for assistance.

I always update my iPad without any problem , but this time it didn't work out . My iPad 4 is still downloading from yesterday and I can not meanwhile open any website or any mail . Can you tell me what went wrong ??

Updating iTunes 12.1 and get error message "The procedure entry point CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll". What went wrong and how to resolve this?
Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

After many years of working with pc's I've just had my first hard crash - ever! This is also the first pc I've ever built.... The rig has been up & running for 2 weeks with zero problems. I run Seti on 2 processor threads using SetiHide, resulting in 100% activity. The CPU has the stock Intel fan & ran real hot (69°) until I upgraded the BIOS from v1.2 to v1.9. Last weekend (17/18th), I played with some overclocking, getting up to 215fsb before dropping back to standard earlier this week.
Can anyone help me diagnose what went wrong please?
CPU temp 59° full load, 40° idle
NB temp 54°
System 38°
HDD 25°
System is PIV 3.2gHz/800 HT mode, BIOS v1.9, FSB set to 201, memory voltage 2.65v. Memory is Kingston approved KVR400X64C3AK2/1g in dual channel mode.
Software: WinXP Pro latest patches, McAfee AV v7.0 Enterprise, Palm Hotsync, MS ISA Firewall, pc linked to Win2k server.
Software running at the time: Outlook 2003, Setihide (2 processor mode), Musicmatch 8.2 (playing music from hdd), 2x IE6, Commence (relational dbase).
I was just working typing something in Outlook & it crashed with no warning. The PC had been on for about 10 hours.
This pc use is normal for me, nothing unusual was being done. The ONLY thing unusual was an hour or so before, I connected my APC UPS to a USB port & therefore running the UPS service. Could that cause the hard crash?
Steps taken: FSB back to 200, memory voltage back to 2.5v, unloaded UPS service & unplugged the UPS cable, unloaded Seti.
Next step: run memtest86

I was using an Outlook new mail window doing a quote for a customer. So I was jumping between IE windows checking prices etc. At the exact point of the crash I was in Outlook typing something. Musicmatch was playing mp3s from my hard drive. Seti was running full blast. Also about an hour previously I had connected an APC 500VA Back-UPS CS to a USB port. since the zen micro is only more than a week new, i waited for the battery to drain and waited for the low batt indicator before i charged it via usb... but when i plugged it in, there was no light indicator although there is a charging bar... worse, when i checked at the zen micro explorer, it said that the device was not connected... finally, i decided to take out the battery and go to rescue mode but then it said "low battery" so i just proceeded to turn it on and finally the blinking light was there and the explorer could detect it...
what i would like to know is what made my micro act up like that? i was slightly panicky since my bundled ac adaptor is faulty, but it was the first time i encountered the problem with my usb... so what went wrong so that i could avoid it in the near future? thanks for your replies for this wonderful site...If the supplied AC adapter is faulty, and you've only had the kit a week, Customer Support should be able to replace the adapter for you under warranty.
As for the other problem goes, I don't have much to add to SSR's advice. It could have been that it wasn't connecting properly, could be a few things, but if it doesn't happen again it was probably just a fluke occurance so I wouldn't be too concerned.
