What went wrong with Nokia Messaging?
In the beginning of this year I used Nokia Messaging on E71 and I really loved it!
Since this autumn I am using it on my new N97 and I am confronted with totally different experience:
- the application is very slooooow..
- its unreliable - very ofter emails arrive with hours delay, a sync may take up to minutes
- its very very buggy - truncated icons, diplay randomly jumping up and down, when scrolling.
- very bad HTML display of emails - tiny (unreadable) default font and no wrap to screen when zooming - I thought emails were for reading?
- many, many usability issues
I just cannot believe it - How has Nokia managed to convert once such a good piece of software into such incredible disaster?
Recently an update was published - I tried it immediately... To my big disappointment it contains all the same bugs and introduces new ones..
How is this possible? What is happening at Nokia?
Also my N86 as the same problem.
And in global setting Nokia deleted the option to read always in HTML.
And there is not any option to write html Mails

This appears to have been resolved over the weekend. A sandbox status page would be useful. The sandbox does have frequent problems, resulting in quite a lot of lost development time.

I wanted to burn an iTunes folder (some 1000 songs, 4GB) into a DVD disc so I highlighted the iTunes folder and clicked the button Burn Disc on bottom right corner of the iTunes window. However, only 88 songs (or 300MB) of music was burned into a DVD disc. I did it again; the same thing. For some reasons, more than 900 songs or 3.7GB of music was never burned into a DVD disc.
What went wrong?
JacquesAre all of the songs you want to burn to DVD in the same playlist? Are the checkboxes in front of all the songs checked? These are the first things I would investigate.

I Noticed on Nokia, it is in some of its phones has developed a low tone for incoming calls and then rises from its own, despite the availability of a particular option for the tone upward, thus becoming the normal tone, progressive resemble each other ...
Nokia did not know there are people who suffer from a hearing problem and thus can not hear the normal tone of it as we have said previously that it is now upward!! Why Nokia has normal tone upward?? They forced the people to develop a progressive tone in both cases??
I think this stupidity from Nokia!! Hope that the company would fix this error soon!!

It is a new Nokia also has repeated the error, but a different way, It has banned the people to know who contacted them recently (Before last connection) ... For example, Contact Johnny 4 times (the second at noon - the sixth night - and the ninth pm)
If you see on the screen last connection is the ninth in the evening and thus do not know that it may contact you many times!! "In the past, you can see the last 5 connections

some if you told "you can change this with a high pitched tone such as a loud mp3" but it's Impossible becouse the tone begining is so low ,

I speak on behalf of people who suffer from hearing problems and who do not hear the tone on their phone, when the other is busy grilling or in the noise, it does not pay attention to the phone and this is what I mean. Thanks for the replies -

I have a MacBook that I can't install leopard on, my MacBook is only year old.
I love my Mac ....it's the best laptop I have ever owned. I don't really know what to do. The disk is ok (it clears disk check every time), how could it be my hard ware it's all APPLE. I don't see any real official recognition from apple about this problem and I don't see how they missed all bugs. I was really eager to install 10.5 ,but now I wish the guys @ apple would have just held back a few more months. Please someone help!!!!I purchased my Macbook about the same time you did. Last November 1, 2006 when the first Core 2 Duo Macbooks came out.
I had no problems installing Leopard and I just used the "Upgrade" option.

My hard drive was already formatted in the "GUID" format. You might want to check this just for GP using Disk Utility...
You might also "Verify" your HD for problems using Disk Utility... also Repair Permissions....
If you have already tried the above, then you will probably need to take it into an Apple repair station.

TS3694 what went wrong with restore
what is error 3014? My iphone tried to update which was incomple. It then needed to be retored. It appeared to restore but then when it turned on was in the incomplete mode and now when restore is attempted it fails and error 3014 is given.

What went wrong with installation of BPA???
I just installed de BPA Suite and thought i could just click and run... but all i get is just a blank screen of the Oracle Business Process Architect. Did i do something wrong?
During installation of JDeveloper i had similar, also blank screen after installation. this was solved by downloading Jdev version without JRE en use seperate JRE (1.6) and change some configurations.
Could it be i have same problems now with the BOA Suite and if so, is there a work around (like change some settings)blank screen, never had anyting like this. try reinstalling the suite in another drive after uninstalling the present suite.

What went wrong with the control autobackup
I started a rman autobackup incremental level 1 at 2 am, and I noticed that at the same time, system generated an error in alert log point ing to a trc file in udump:

If this alert log trace entry and associated trace file is created every time the rman backup is ran and there is no error number or formatted dump information in the trace file then the trace may just be a left-over from development debugging. Oracle development has been known to forget to turn off trace and debug information before releasing the code to production in the past. This may be another example.
Otherwise you need to post the error messages in the trace.

What went wrong with encoding the disk?
I started burning a disk last night before I went to bed (about an hr and 15 mins of video) and watched it start the process of going through processing menus, slideshows, and video. I woke up and disk was ejected and I placed the disk in another mac, and the mac asked if I wanted to mount it as blank disk. I checked the "Get Info" on the disk and it was blank. I just tried to burn it again in iDVD on my Macpro, though it did not recognize it as a blank disk. I now have another blank disk in the macpro going through the process of burning a disk. Anyone have any ideas why this might have happened?

What went wrong with my iMovie 4 Photo Library?
I'm preparing a slideshow with narration & music on iMovie 4 to burn to DVD.
The Photo Library in my iMovie 4 has suddenly become disorganized so that with over 650 photos in it, I can't readily locate a photo. However, the albums remain organized. It's just iM4's Photo Library that is disorganized.
In iPhoto, the Photo Library is organized, as are the albums. I tried deleting the .plist file in Preferences, but that didn't work. It's a unique problem, I think, as it's never happened before over more than a year of working with iM4.
Any advice/info?Deduct those 10 points. iMovie 4 reverted back to a disorganized Photo Library & the routine I described, above, doesn't help. iPhoto's Library is still organized, as are the albums. The albums in iM4 are also still organized.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I had to change the size of a photo because on a previous trial DVD, the image was seriously cropped on left & right when viewed on TV even tho the Constrain in iPhoto was set to DVD dimensions.
I accessed Photoshop, via iPhoto, & changed the image size to 640 pixels wide, letting height be what it may. I did a Save As, changing the format from .tif to .jpg. I saved it to the Desktop. From the Desktop, I dragged the file into iPhoto.
After adjusting the title info so that the photo would be in its proper place in iPhoto's Photo Library, I returned to iMovie 4, but iM4's Photo Library is once again, disorganized.
I think this is an iMovie, not an iPhoto problem. So, humbled, I again ask for your help. BTW, could I just work with the albums, since they contain everything in the Photo Library, but organized by time periods? I just wish I could get the Photo Library problem in iMovie 4 fixed. -

You broke a lot of useful scripts out there with the default edge mode. It takes me an average of five clicks in the dev tools menu to freeze the complete

After the 2014 update photoshop won't talk to Bridge or Lightroom. What went wrong with the update?
When I try to export images from Lightroom or Bridge to Photoshop now I get a message that Photoshop won't start up when it is already open and running.
Update your graphics driver and/or turn off GPU acceleration in the Performance prefs.

During the higher load the users were suddenly getting DBIF_RSQL_SQL_ERROR, no matter what they wanted to do. When checking system I found many messages like:
Database error -1000 at OPC access to table REPOLOAD

There are too many locks or lock requests.

Hi there,
it's really just about the MAXLOCKS setting.
As you seem the "Catalog update failure"-message also points out error no. -1000.
It's the same "too many lock requests" error as before.
Having a MAXLOCKS value of 1.000.000 or even 3.000.000 is not unusual with MaxDB!

out of the blue the nokia xpress browser on my asha 501 does not start anymore: it just shows the blue background with the globe icon. when i press the back button, the following message appears:
"Something went wrong with running Nokia Xpress"
- I have subsequently updated the phone software to version 14.0.4
- I have run the troubleshooter tool under "installed programmes"
("Debug <Ovi Browser> connecting on port 2800")
- I have restarted the phone
nothing helped.
is anybody familiar with the problem and might assist with some help?

I had the same problem but I managed to solve this today (04/12).
Follow the steps below:
Be sure to backup your files.
1. Settings (configuration) > Reset phone
2. Click OK. Wait restart your phone.
3. Run Nokia Xpress and DON'T upload your backup.
I hope that your problem was solved.
And, after this situation, when your phone ask to keep the old files of the browser, click on No.

Updating iTunes 12.1 and get error message "The procedure entry point CMBlockBufferCopyDataBytes could not be located in the dynamic link library CoreMedia.dll". What went wrong and how to resolve this?
Entry point errors can often be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)
