What will happen after disabling iCloud and connecting my iPhone to my iMac?

Now that I disabled iCloud on my iPhone, indeed the data is still available on my iPhone.
But now I tried to disable iCloud on my iMac, the data is lost.
Is it safe to connect my iPhone to my iMac and will my data (from my iPhone) be restored on my iMac? Or will I los all data?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

The other 2 applications open like normal. All three give me info.
Pages     ver.4.1          265.8MB
Numbers ver. 2.1          89.5MB
Keynote ver. 5.1.1        238.1MB
They all list Apr 3 as the last time opened. That was when I upgraded to Mavericks. I certainly used pages and numbers since then as I have alot of my work files on this computer?
Just very odd. I did find my original iWorks disc from when I bought the computer. I'm assuming i can reinstall it. Will try that. Thank you for all your help. Would still like to know what did happen?

  • What will happen after I deactivate my iphone?

Hello, fellow people of the internet!! I'd really like to know, what will happen if I have AT&T deactivate the sim card on my iphone and reactivate the one from my old samsung phone? If someone has gone through a similar experience, would it be possible for you to talk me through the process, or just let me know if there's anything special or worrying that I should know? Can you keep the iphone and continue using it (without any of its actual cellular features, I know), do they charge you for anything , either right there at AT&T or later on in the form of a bill? Is it a quick process or would it be rather complicated? If you couldn't already tell, I'm clueless but I just don't want there to be any surprises if I go through with this 'cause I'd really like to go back to my old phone (is that shocking to anyone? :O) but still keep the iphone around and give it some use without much complications. Anyways, thanks in advance for your time and answers, I really appreciate it!!! :D

Backup your phone before restoring and then you can't possibly lose any data.
You should also be syncing your phone with iTunes, iCloud or some other service, so that data should be safe and re-appear on the phone when you set it up again with the same sync service.

  • What will happen to my songs and video if I.....

I have my Ipod loaded with music and videos, but my PC hard drive just crashed. What will happen to the content on my IPod if I load Itunes on a new computer and connect my IPod to it. Someone told me that it will reint the IPod and I will lose all my stuff.

Yes, there is a very real risk of you losing the contents of your iPod.
You should go about recovering that content to your computer first.
For iTunes version 7 or later, then you can transfer purchased iTunes store music from the iPod to an authorized computer by using the "file/transfer purchases from iPod" menu. Note that the maximum of 5 authorized computers applies here.
Find out how to do that here.
How to copy iTunes purchases from an iPod to a computer.
For all other non purchased content (your own CDs etc) try this method which works on some Windows PCs.
Enable your iPod for disk use.
    See: iPod Disk Use.
Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/general. Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.
Connect the iPod whilst holding down the shift/ctrl keys to prevent any auto sync, and if you see the dialogue window asking if you want to sync to this itunes library, click 'no'.
Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer', select your iPod and click 'ok'.
The music files should transfer to your iTunes.
If this doesn't work (and it may not because officially it's not supposed to), check out the instructions/suggestions here.
Music from iPod to computer (using option 2). This a manual method using "hidden folders" and although it works, it is a little more involved than other methods.
Much easier ways are to use one of the many 3rd party programs that copy music from the iPod to the computer.
One of the most recommended is Yamipod. This is a free program that transfers music from iPod back to the computer. However, it does not transfer playcounts/ratings etc.
Another free program is Pod Player.
    SharePod is also freeware.
If you want to recover just the structure of playlists from the iPod (and not the actual song files themselves), there's iRepo for Windows. which I understand has this feature along with all the standard features for these programs.
iPodRip also has the feature enabling you to reconstruct playlists.
There is also CopyTrans. This does preserve ratings/playcounts etc if those are important to you but this program is not free. It also supports video transfer.

  • What will happen after this?

I have a procedure kicked off yesterday to update a table. But I killed it this morning. Just after I killed the session, I kicked off another SQL to perform the same task to update the same table and same columns but faster.
What is happening right now is: the Oracle is performing a roll back on the killed procedure while the new SQL is running.
    So here are my questions:
    1. what will happen later when the SQL is completed and the roll back is not done yet?
    2. Will the roll back affect the new SQL updates?
    Thanks,

Dive into the concepts manual. A basic concept of Oracle [url http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B28359_01/server.111/b28318/consist.htm#CNCPT020]concurrency and consistency is that each (something) gets a view of the database at the start of the (something). (something) is usually a transaction or statement, depending on configuration and programming. Oracle uses System Change Numbers to figure out if each view should include any particular version of block data, kind of like a clock.
So basically, it all works, but you may see performance impacts just because stuff is happening, and you may see odd effects if you don't understand what you are doing. It is different than other database engines.

  • HT201252 What will happen after entering an incorrect Passcode (more that 4 times) in Settings/General/Restrictions

Cannot remember Restrictions passcode.  Have tried 4 different possible passcodes - Is there a limit to the number of attempts?  What will happen when the limit is entered?

Don't know what the limit is, but when you do your ipad will disable.   Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

  • TS1538 Can I reset my iPod nano? What will happen after I reset it?

    Hello there,
I don't know if I can reset my iPod nano. If I do this, what will happen to it? Will I lost all my songs? I don't know why iTunes not recognized my ipod, which I have IPod in to my MacPro Retina OXS 10.9.1? I hope anyone can answer my questions...

What do you mean by a reset? If you mean depressing the buttons until the Apple icon appear then no. How you resetdepends upon the model Nano.
If you mean restore via iTunes, that erases the iPod.
If you need more help post in the iPod Nano forum. This is the iPod touch forum

  • What will happen If I update my factory locked iphone 4 to iOS 7?

I have a factory locked iphone.I just forgot the passcode now i want to restore it itunes are showing the message that it can restore & update only.i want to know that if i update ios7 what will happen.you can also help me how to restore my iphone without updating it?

    MRaza91 wrote:
okay, but just to be safe, how can we be sure that our phone is fatory unlocked? because my cousin apparently had a factory unlocked iphone 3g and updated it iOS 6.1.3 and it got locked
Your cousins phone was therefore not, in fact, factory unlocked.  An iPhone sold directly by Apple as unlocked will never lock because of an iOS update.
An iPhone unlocked by going through proper procedures and channels with the carrier to whom it was originally locked will never lock again because of an iOS update.
An iPhone hacked to unlock it (which is unlocked by ANY other means then the first two) will lock again whenever iOS is updated.
If I had to guess, I would say 90% of privately sold iPhones sold as "unlocked" are in fact merely hacked to unlock them, and WILL relock when updated.
Some iPhones sold in Europe are also sold as "SIM free" and contract free, but do in fact lock to the carrier of the first SIM inserted in them.  No contract, or "SIM free" does not mean unlocked.

  • Lightroom 4 conversion to LR 6-what will happen to my presets and pics in LR4..??

Hi, I currently have Lightroom 4 installed on my Mac and several catalogs of photos within that. I'm about to purchase and install Lightroom 6, but am not sure how that will affect my Lightroom 4 and all of the pics within it...

Lightroom 6 will find your catalog that you have been using and will prompt you to create an updated copy of it. It is the updated copy of that Lightroom 6 will open, and all of your work will still be in place. Remember, your photos are not "in" the catalog. They are simply stored in folders wherever you imported them.

  • What will happen to my ipad and apple phone if I reset daughters ipad mini to factory settings, we are getting each others messages and mail

Hi   I have my laptop, ipad and apple 4 phone.  Youngest daughter has ipad mini which I connected to my laptop to download free games, music and photos, now the ipadmini thinks its me and we are getting each others messages etc.     If I reset the ipadmini to factory settings, will this delete and/of effect my Ipad, Apple phone, I don't want everything DELETED on my devices.  HELP
    Thanks

Yes it would be her device you remove your account from, but she would need an email address to have an Apple ID.
I guess if it's only messages that you want her to use, you could create an iCloud email address alias and let her use that for messaging.
First you'd need to create an alias for your iCloud address, you can do this at iCloud.com > mail, click on the gear icon in the bottom left corner and select preferences, then choose the accounts tab. The alias could be her name.
After creating an alias you will need to add it to her device as an ID for messages, go to settings > messages > send & receive > Add another email.
While you are there make sure she only sends and receives messages from that address, you also need to ensure the same settings on your devices use anything but that address.

  • What will happen if you activate the unlocked Tmobile iPhone with a Tmobile sim first and then pop in another sim card?

    Will it still work?

If you bought the T-Mobile as a no-contract model directly from Apple it is supposed to be unlocked and will work.  If you bought it from T-Mobile it is not fully unlocked and you will have to get T-Mobile to unlock it after 40 days.

  • HT5192 If I update my iPod's software, what will happen to my pictures and apps?!

I like to know what happens to my apps  if I update my software???

If you update via wifi (Settings>General>Software Update (available with iOS 5 only)) noting is lost unless something bad happens.
    - If you update via USB/iTunes, all the synced media have to be in the iTunes library since the backup that iTunes makes does not include synced media like apps and music.

  • What will happen if I uninstall and reinstall

this "ghostlike appearance affects all open programs/email/other browsers until I close firefox

hello RickMoran, reinstalling firefox probably won't help in your situation - the description seems to suggest that something is wrong with hardware acceleration in firefox.
<br>please try [[Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL|updating your graphics driver]], this should be the right link for your configuration: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=23639&lang=eng
<br>or in case this doesn't solve the issue disable hardware acceleration in ''firefox > options > advanced > general'' (see screenshot).
another thing that might need you attention: you have the wajam extension present which might be considered malicious. i'd recommend to run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the [http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free free version of malwarebytes] & [http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ adwcleaner] to make sure there isn't adware active in other places of your system as well.

  • HT1349 what will happen if i delete backup on my iphone for my sons ipod? would any data be lost from his ipod or my iphone? my storage is almost full

I received notification on my iphone thru icloud that my storage is close to being full, it is because my kids ipods use the same email address!  If i delete the backup for their ipods, will it delete any info from their ipods or my iphone??

I wouldn't delete the actual backup file, due to unforseen risks.
Try managing the content better, such as removing songs/apps/videos/photos, etc.
