What will happen to my Beats Family Pass Now that Apple Owns Beats?

I got the $15 family pack for Beats and it is a great deal. The problem is that now, Apple possesses Beats Music and may be planning to rebrand the platform. If they change anything on their service, which is most-likely rebranding with the apple name, will I lose my subsrciption and the amazing deal? The family plan is an amazing deal and I don't want to lose it.

Apple has announced that Beats music has been replaced with Apple Music, launching today! Find complete details here.

  • Now that Apple owns Beats headphones...?

    Now that Apple owns Beats headphones, will I be able to take my Beats there to get repaired? One side isn't playing music. And I did in fact buy my Beats at the Apple store, will that make a difference?

    Apple did purchase Beats.
    There were rumors when this was posted (2 months ago) but it was not announced until 28 May.

  • What will happen if I change the name of my Apple Id?

    I have only one Apple Id, which is my email address "[email protected]". My Apple Id and primary email are the same. I now have a new email address, and want to change my Apple Id to my new email address. I've been to the Apple Id support page, and have found out how to change the Apple Id on the Apple Id support webpage. I've been reluctant to go through with the process, because I'm unsure as to what the consequences will be if I change my Apple Id. I have an iPhone and an iPad as well as two Macs and an Apple TV hooked up to my Apple Id. My iMac is the main computer used for storing all files and syncing my iOS devices. In addition my contacts and calendar is in the iCloud. I hope someone with the know-how or experience can help me answer the following questions:
    1. iPhone and iPad: Once I change my Apple Id, have I understood it correctly when the next thing I do is that I go to General settings -> Store, and sign out from my "old" Apple Id, and then sign in with the new name for my Apple Id? Will my previous purchases of music, ibooks and apps be connected to the new name of my Apple Id, and will I still be able to get previously purchased apps updated? As for iCloud, what must I do on my iPhone and iPad to make sure that contacts and calendars keep in sync?
    2. iCloud: Will changing the name of the Apple Id on the Apple Id support webpage be the only thing I need to do, or are there more steps to follow?
    3. iMac and MacBook Pro: Am I right in assuming that all I need to do is sign out from the old named account and then sign in with the new name in AppStore, iTunes, FaceTime and Messages app? Is the Apple Id in use by any other apps or functions?
    4. Apple TV: Once my iMac is up and running with the new name of the account, I sign out from the old named account, then sign in with the new name, will streaming music and photos etc. work just as before the name change?
    5. I still haven't activated Mail in iCloud. As I understand, once you do that you will be prompted to register a @me.com or @icloud.com email address. Will this address now be possible to use instead of my new email address as the name for my Apple Id?
    A lot of questions, still I'd be grateful for some answers.

    Hi, everyone,
    I just began to use TM to back up my mac. I already have a full backup. Now I want to exclude some folder from backup. I can do this in the option dialog of TM. But I wonder what will happen after I add a new exclude folder. Will TM begin to build a new full backup or just continue to back up incrementally from the older full copy? Thanks.
    Time Machine will continue to do incremental backups.
    It won't immediately delete previous backups of the items you exclude (but it will, eventually). You can do that yourself, if you want, per #12 in the Frequently Asked Questions *User Tip,* also at the top of this forum.

    Don't know what the limit is, but when you do your ipad will disable.   Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

  • What will happen to my purchased movies/TV shows if iTunes removed them from the store?

    I'm honestly sorry to bother you. I tried to google this and cloudn't find a good answer.
    What will happen to my purchased movies/TV shows (that I haven't downloaded on my devices) if iTunes removed them from the store? Will I still be able to watch/download them from iCloud?
    I'm trying to buy all my favourite movies and TV shows without downloading them, to keep them in iCloud that I can access from all my devices whenever I want, but I'm scared that iTunes will remove them from my iCloud if something happens to the contract between them and the production company. Should I worry about that?
    Thank you for taking the time to read this. I appreciate it.
    Best,
    Faisal

    Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
    But the thing is, I don't want to download ANYTHING because I don't have storage. That's why I want to buy them and watch them through iCloud (on my Mac iTunes) without downloading.
    I know that it's safer to download them. But does "safer" mean that iTunes might not let me access my purchases through iCloud?

  • What will happen to my playlists if I cancel my Family Subscription so I can add more subaccounts?

    When I first signed up for the Family plan, I selected only two accounts. I've read that I will need to cancel my family plan and resubscribe so I can sign up for additional subaccounts. My question is, what will happen to all of my playlists and saved songs when I cancel my plan and then resubscribe? Thanks!

  • What will happen if I don't use apple's hdd?

    My HDD is passed away.
    I'm using Macbook Unibody(A1342) and I will replace the HDD.
    I heard that Apple's HDD has a temperature sensor.
    So that If I don't use that, it will be a problem, as I heard.
    What will happen if I don't use the Apple's HDD?

    The tempeture sensor is on the logic board not the hard drive. Apple doesn't make any hard drives they buy them from other manufacturers.
    For a new hard drive try Newegg.com
    Regular SATA drives http://www.newegg.com/Store/SubCategory.aspx?SubCategory=380&name=Laptop-Hard-Dr ives&Order=PRICE  Use the list at the left for larger and faster drives.

    To transfer your current hard drive I like the applications Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper. They make a bootable copy of everything on your hard drive. http://www.bombich.com/index.html or http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html
    You'll need a cheap SATA external hard drive case. Put the new drive in the case then format and partition the new drive and clone your old drive to the new one. Check that it's set up right by booting up from the external drive. Then replace your old hard drive with the new one and put your old one in the external case.

  • What will happen in this code.

    Hi all,
    Im trying to understand the execution path when an exception is raised. In this example, what will happen when testExcep is raised.
    1. Will the rollback take place?
    or
    2: Control will be passed to the calling procedure and thus nothing in the "WHEN OTHERS" clause will be executed.
    I thought that when in testExcep, the code will raise an exception which will be passed to the "When Others" clause. Someone please clarify this to me.
    Thanks
    WHEN testExcep
    THEN
    RAISE;
    WHEN OTHERS
    THEN
       ROLLBACK;
       write_batch_job_log('Oracle error: '||SQLERRM,
                           'Calc Inv Counts',
                           'F',
                           lv_start_date);
       COMMIT;
       RAISE;
    END calc_inv_qtr_counts;

    The Best this is to try it for yourself.
    This is how you can..
    Declare
    PROCEDURE my_test is
    textExcep Exception ;
    Begin
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'In my test Proc Body') ;
    Raise textExcep ;
    Exception
    WHEN textExcep
    THEN
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'passing call back to calling program') ;
    RAISE;
    WHEN OTHERS
    THEN
    ROLLBACK;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Rolled back') ;
    COMMIT;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Commit') ;
    RAISE;
    END;
    Begin
    my_test ;
    Exception
    When Others Then
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Main Block Error handler') ;
    End ;
    Declare
    PROCEDURE my_test is
    textExcep Exception ;
    Begin
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'In my test Proc Body') ;
    Raise NO_DATA_FOUND;
    Exception
    WHEN textExcep
    THEN
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'passing call back to calling program') ;
    RAISE;
    WHEN OTHERS
    THEN
    ROLLBACK;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Rolled back') ;
    COMMIT;
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Commit') ;
    RAISE;
    END;
    Begin
    my_test ;
    Exception
    When Others Then
    DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE( 'Main Block Error handler') ;

  • What will happen to the data block after data offloading?

    HI All,
    Since offloading can filter out the necessary information such as unnecessary columns and rows before they are passed to the database, I want to know what will happen to the data block? Will some new blocks be built at this time,which only contains the useful information?
    Best regards,
    Leon

    Andy Klock wrote:
    The statement seems to imply that Exadata has the ability to strip out columns from a block, but a block is a block is a block. Offloading is remarkable at filtering out data in the storage layer that ultimately is not needed but if you only need one row in a block that has 100 rows in it, you still get the whole block (and all 100 rows) to be processed by Oracle. The columns portion of the statement is when HCC is used for a table allowing only the blocks containing the column data required for the query, and thus if a block has 1000 column values in it, it will pass all 1000 column values to the instance to be processed.These assertions are incorrect.
    Blocks sent to the database grid as a result of a Smart Scan contain only the necessary columns and rows for the db grid to do its processing (after filter restrictions and projection restrictions are applied). These Smart Scan blocks are created at run time by the storage server so they have no bearing on the blocks that reside physically on disk which is why they can not be reused by other queries via the SGA and are read directly into the PGA space.

  • Who should open a new account? What will happen to older purchases?

    My wife has been using my Apple account for a few years. I also have an iCloud account and used iTunes Match. Now I have my own iPad, and need to "cut off" my family from access to my Apple email, iCloud documents, etc. Who should start a new account - me or my wife? What will happen to our purchases, and what devices will be able to play them?

    Hi claybrowne,
    iTunes purchases are linked to the Apple ID they are purchased under, so you should keep your account.
    There is the option for your wife and family to continue to use your Apple ID for purchases only but have their own Apple IDs for iCloud, but I'm not sure how to stop them from using your Apple ID for other things other than telling them "this is for purchases only, use your own account for everything else."
    See "Apple IDs and iCloud", the section "Using one Apple ID for iCloud and a different Apple ID for Store Purchases".   They can have their own email and Apple ID for FaceTime, Messages, iCloud, etc.

  • Acer Predator running win 8.1 which I wish to upgrade to win 10. What will happen to recovery discs?

    I have a two year old Acer Predator with Win 8.1 installed. I wish to upgrade to Win 10 but I'm concerned about what will happen if I get a hard drive failure at some point. Will I need to pay for another set of recovery discs? Or will I have to install Win 8 from the discs I already have, then upgrade to 8.1, then to Win 10?

    if your HDD will die, you can use your windows 8 recovery disk and then upgrade to 10 without passing by 8.1but.....i can suggest an easy way. You can create a system image just after upgrading to windows 10, having your drivers updated to windows 10 version too and check that your system is stable. after that, with windows tool you can create that system image on DVD or external HDD and use it to re-install your windows 10 copy as you just upgraded. http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-create-a-system-image-in-windows-10/ to use a windows system image, you need a bootable windows 10 installation media but this is easy to have it from microsoft:http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10download the .iso file and burn it on a DVD. so....at the end, you will boot from the DVD and choose to repair your PC and selecting to load the system image.

  • What will happen if I upgrade my icloud storage?

    I have a 16gb ipad that I have for already a year and 3 months in IOS 7.1.0 . Since my ipad is only 16gb, I already used a lot of storage and it's only 1.2 gb left. I maintain my storage like that for about a month already but I'm afraid that it will all be used up in no time because my family always go on trips which means we have to take pictures. But, I was looking around in the settings and I saw an icloud storage plan. I'm really convinced to upgrading my icloud. But, what will happen if I upgrade my icloud storage? Will my storage increase? Or something else will happen

    Upgrading icloud storage WILL not upgrade storage on ipad. Buying another ipad of larger size will.
