What would be the advantage of using Arch Hurd?

Would all the current packages work or would there be some incompatibilities? What are the main benefits? Just curious

You must understand Hurd predates Linux. It was the kernel that was under development for the GNU system, when Linus showed up with his Linux kernel. Minix predates Linux, but it wasn't an option since its license was restrictive (although, I seem to remember universities could have it for free).
Today it is less clear why the project moves on. Stallman has this to say about it, which quite frankly leaves more questions than answers. So the debate (if there is a debate) rages between the potential benefits of a microkernel entirely supported by the GNU operating system and the accusation that Stallman and the folks at the GNU foundation never really came to terms with the Linux the kernel (it was adopted then because they had an operating system they wanted in the wild, but no kernel). The fact most people call it Linux and not GNU/Linux is yet another point of contention. So Hurd exists in the hopes one day the GNU operating system can exist on its own.
Personally, and despite my own acidic opinion that the Hurd project is a stain in the reputation of the GNU foundation (many microkernels have come and gone in these 20 years, some of which successfully adopted, and hurd is still nowhere to be seen), I think it is an important project. Breaking the barrier to the microkernel may be technologically relevant. I'm not imagining it being a ubiquitous solution for domestic computers, but instead as a possible solution for, for instance, mission critical systems.

You'd want to review the IMS Release Notes and documentation for a complete picture of what's different in IMS. There are a number of things that jump out though.
Aside from NMS nearing the end of its life-cycle, IMS is more stable. It's built on a foundation of both Netscape Messaging Server and SIMS.
It includes server-side rules that can be selected by a user to apply to their mailbox or by the administrator to apply server-wide, using the very flexible SIEVE language.
You can also easily integrate other software such as a virus scanner by using the conversion channel. You can filter MIME-Types, scan message bodies, and so on.
In 5.2, you'll be able to use the Webmail Multiplexor similar to the POP and IMAP MMP in 4x. Domain hosting, user provisioning, security and message store management are far better in IMS.
IMS is also the go-to product if you're looking for a Unified Messaging solution or expecting to scale-up your current deployment.
There are dozens of other benifits to IMS, but there are too many to list. The best way to decide if it suits you is to read through the Admin Guide and possibly the Provisioning Guide and then install it in a test environment yourself to really feel it out.
The learning curve for IMS is a bit steeper as it is a more complex product and there are more components to interact with and configure. You will have to thoroughly read the documentation available and do a trial installation and deployment before using in the real-world. But once you get over that bump, it's a very powerful server.

What would be the best way to install Arch, if I have Broadcom wifi?

I can boot into an Arch USB disk, but I can't connect to the Internet, since my laptop doesn't have ethernet and the wifi card is Broadcom, which requires the `broadcom-wl` package. What would be the easiest way of proceeding with this install? On IRC, I was advised to either: (1) boot into another distro, connect to the Internet there, then chroot into the Arch USB image, and download the additional packages from there, or (2) download the `broadcom-wl` package from the AUR, and a build environment, transfer these files to the USB system, and then compile and install the module there. Both of these solutions seems rather complicated to me. With (1), I was having difficulty mounting the arch .img as a drive using Ubuntu, since Ubuntu's `mount` command needs a filetype, and didn't seem to like any of the filetypes I tried. With (2), I have a feeling this would be fairly complicated--I'm not sure which binaries I can install for my system, or how to install packages that I downloaded offline.

I too had issues with my internet, eventually I installed arch from Ubuntu. I used bootstrap image and it worked as advertized in the wiki.
EDIT: If you using Ubuntu then don't forget to create '/run/shm' otherwise pacstrap will fail.

means Integer instead of int, etc....I am not sure why use Integer over int; but Wrapper classes are used to remove coupling between classes and create one hand doesn't know what the other hand does effect.
for example:
when you have a SFTP java package but doesn't do everything that your application needs to do in one step and you need to do sftp stuff at many places in your application, it would be wise not to use SFTP java package directly from all the classes that need to do sftp stuff. Because if you were to change the SFTP package later due to say some bug fix or newer version or ... you would have to go and modify all the classes that had sftp stuff to update.
Instead you could write a custom sftp wrapper that handles all the sftp stuff for your application needs and that wrapper deals with the SFTP java package. So all the classes don't need to know which SFTP java package is being used only the custom-wrapper needs to know.

I saw your question that is still unanswered.
I believe an advantage of using a passive monitoring technique is that it won't interfer with live traffic, as it does not inject traffic into the network or modify the traffic that is already on the network.
One drawback anyway, is that post-processing time can take a large amount of time with passive monitoring!
A combination of the two monitoring methods seems to be the route to go.

FlexConnect is one mode an AP can operate, typically deployed in Branch setup where you do not have a controller at branch site. Those AP can register to a controller at your HQ or main site. So traffic will terminate at your branch switch instead of tunnel back to HQ-WLC.
If you want roaming within your branch FlexConnect AP then you have to put those AP into a FlexConnect Group. Then only key information shared among those AP to facilitate fast roaming.

Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.

As of June 2014, none of the Adobe Reader mobile products support the hyperlink action for opening a separate PDF document.

Adobe Reader Touch for Windows 8
In addition, the Reader mobile products do not open multiple windows/documents simultaneously, which would make the navigation between PDF documents nearly impossible. (Once a hyperlink takes you to a different PDF document, you have no way to go back to the original PDF document.)
The only Adobe Reader product that fulfills your department's requirements is Adobe Reader XI (mostly for Windows/Mac desktop/laptop computers). Acrobat Pro and Standard are paid products.
Because you are in search of a less expensive device for your department, you could get a Windows tablet instead of a Windows desktop/laptop computer. Microsoft Surface Pro (that you've mentioned in your previous reply) is just one example. You can also find other less expensive Windows tablets.
Tablets
However, please keep in mind that there are two different types of Windows tablets running two different operating systems.
(a) A Windows tablet with an Intel-based processor running Windows 8.1 Pro
Example: Surface Pro 3
You can install and run traditional desktop apps (e.g. Adobe Reader XI) and new Windows Store apps ("Modern" or "Metro-style" apps).
(b) A Windows tablet with an ARM-based processor running Windows RT 8.1

You can only install and run Windows Store apps (e.g. Adobe Reader Touch) but not traditional desktop apps like Adobe Reader XI.
In general, type (b) tablets are more affordable than type (a) tablets. However, if you want to run Adobe Reader XI, you do need to check the technical specification of each tablet and make sure the following conditions are met.
Processor: Intel
Operating system: Windows 8/8.1 or Windows 8/8.1 Pro, not RT

Hi Rusty,
I wanted to quickly clarify on the integration between TestStand and LabVIEW Projects.
As Jeff mentioned, some of the big benefits of using LabVIEW Projects is to organize code and to namespace them.
For instance if you had a project called "Power Supply" that housed all your power supply code and had a VI in that called "Initialize", and another project called "Temperature Chamber" that also had a VI called "Initialize", both these VIs are namespaced by the project, so there is no longer confusion about which "Initialize" VI is being used.
Now from a TestStand point of view, in prior version of TestStand, we lost some of this benefit because TestStand did not know about TestStand projects and called VIs simply as un-namespaced VIs. However, in TestStand 2010 (released last year, free eval available at ni.com/teststand), we added the ability to (optionally) call VIs within the context of their projects. This means that:
VIs are now namespaced by their project, even when called from TestStand
VIs can use project specific constructs like NI-DAQmx tasks and conditional compilation settings
Note: When creating deployments, the VIs maintain their projects and namespacing, so this benefit holds true for deployments as well.
Additionally, someone had mentioned looking into using lvlibs to namespace your VIs for deployment. Two comments:
With TestStand 2010, this is no longer neccessary since the project itself namespaces the VIs
You might also want to look into LabVIEW Packed Project Libraries, which combined several VIs into a single file. Think of it as a DLL specific to LabVIEW that is as easy to call as normal LabVIEW VIs. TestStand 2010 can call VIs that are exposed by PPLs. In addition, the deployment utility can automatically pack your VIs into PPLs for deployment.
