Whatever happened to the 69 cents songs?
I remmember itunes used to have songs that were 69 cents but I can't seem to find them anymore. Is itunes not doing this anymore or am I not looking hard enough?
The 69 cent deal was mainly a marketing gimmick to make it easier to swallow when the iTunes Store raised the price of many songs to $1.29. There was never much of a selection at 69 cents.
The iTunes Store no longer has a link to make it easy to find the 69 cents songs, although there are still a few in the Store.
You may also want to check out Amazon MP3, which tends to have better pricing and much more stuff on sale.
You can buy MP3s from any online source and add them to your iTunes library.

Whatever happened to the songs of the week. It dissapeared. Can someone help or point me where it was moved to? Thank you.
It looks like it's no longer being done (whether permanent or only temporary I don't know), there have been a number of other posts about it no longer showing in various countries stores

Whatever happened to the File: Place: In InDesign Script?! I want it back!
I think Configurator will happen for InDesign CC, just not yet.
For now, you could write a startup script.
I only suggest these as alternatives. It would have been better if Adobe had made it an option. Very heavy handed and another thing that is going to P loyal users off.

Up next doesn't seem to work properly with multiple speakers over airplay. The status bar on the computer shows the song playing, but not over airplay. When I restart the song it plays, but the same thing happens when the next song cues up. Any ideas?

Basically, I've already described the problem. Some songs play perfectly fine in itunes but the same songs corrupt when placed on different devices of varying age. Therefore, I don't think there's something wrong with the original file and I don't think there's something wrong with all of my devices. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?
Hello there klundie,
I was researching the issue you are experiencing, and have come to the conclusion that the songs in question may need to be converted and re imported. This article, iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format outlines how to re import songs that are already in your itunes library, which I believe will resolve the issue.
You can find the article here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
To convert a song's file format:
Open iTunes Preferences.
Windows: Choose Edit > Preferences.
Mac: Choose iTunes > Preferences.
Click the General button, then click the Importing Settings button in the second section of the window.
From the Import Using pop-up menu, choose the encoding format that you want to convert the song to, then click OK to save the settings.
Select one or more songs in your library, then from the Advanced menu, choose one of the following (The menu item changes to show what's selected in your Importing preferences):
Create MP3 version
Create AAC version
Create AIFF version
Create WAV version
Create Apple Lossless version
If you haven't imported some songs into iTunes yet, you can import and convert them at the same time. This will create a converted copy of the file in your iTunes Library based on your iTunes preferences. To convert all the songs in a folder or on a disk, hold down the Option key (Mac) or Shift key (Windows) and choose Advanced > ConvertImport preference setting. The Import preference setting will match what you chose in step 3. iTunes will prompt you for the location of the folder or disk you want to import and convert. All the songs in the folder or on the disk will be converted. Note: Some purchased songs are encoded using a protected AAC format that prevents them from being converted. iTunes Plus purchases are not protected and can be converted.
The song in its original format and the newly converted song appear in your library.
All the best,
Sterling -
What ever happened to the 69c songs in Store?
I want to buy the 69 cent songs they always had.... I don't see the options anymore...
A while back (sorry, can't remember exactly when... 2 years?), Apple stopped selling the non-plus versions of songs (128 kbps, DRM protected). They now only sell the "plus" version so there's no longer a need to make the distinction.

Whatever happened to the song upgrade option?
There used to be an option to upgrade certain restricted or "protected" songs to unrestricted songs that can be played on programs like Windows Media Player. Did Apple just get rid of that?
And it would seem the caution would be best to also mention a proper backup.
I guess we define 'likely' differently - you make it sound like Lion has chronic issues for everyone... A full 10.7.4 did wonders for certain issues I couldn't find a way to rectify w/10.7.2 & .3 - that was an upgrade and now I'm just looking forward to new features that are only w/10.8.
If the issues are derived from an in place update & migration or a corrupted combo update, it doesn't matter if the OS is old or new.

What Happened to the "Plus" Songs in the iTunes Store?
I can't find any plus songs for purchase in the iTunes store. I used to be able to search for "+" songs, or browse for plus songs, but there are no links. Even searching for any song, browsing the songs, etc., show NO plus songs in the store.
The only reference to "Plus", is to update some previous purchases to plus. I even tried searching for those songs and there are no results with a "+" next to them.

What happened to the free song a week on iTunes?
I Haven't seen iTunes post a "free song of the week" in over a month and I'm just wondering if anyone knows if this is just a temporary thing or if they have gotten rid of it. I hope not . I actually used that feature to explore new music that I otherwise might not have listened to.
Tarry,
At the moment, the iTunes USA Store has 16 free songs available:

Whatever happened to the "clipping has occurred message" when recording?
I'm sorry but I miss this message from Logic 7. Does it still exist in Logic 8?
It's the one that says something like "xxx samples appear to be clipped"...
Thanks,
KenYes Ken,
I believe is the one you quote.
The clip detector will lit up until + 6dB (will be shown),
probably from that value up the message will appears.
I really can't tell much more as I never allow clipping that much.
Peace,
Jorge -
Whatever happened to the Bandwith Monitor?
I may be overlooking something here but I can't seem to find the Bandwith Monitor any more after upgrading Captivate. I use Captivate 5, German version. There is no reference in the (German) manual. Could somebody help me out here?
Best regards
JanHello,
The bandwidth monitor is not there anymore, you are not missing anything. I suppose with broadband universally available, the team did not find it worhwhile to include it anymore. If you do not agree, please fill in a feature request to have it back. Here is the link:
