I have a nokia 5200 v:03.93 i want to update it please tell me what to do .........

Hi, your phone is unfortunately getting old, so from checking your device at this site:http://www.nokia.co.uk/support/download-software/device-software-update
it says that there are no updates available for this product. It's probably because it is discontiniued.
However, input your product code in this checker tool to see if you got any luck:http://www.nokia.co.uk/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update
However if there aren't any, you could always call a Nokia care point to ask if they have the the option to install the latest one, however I think you will have to face that you won't get it updated.
But it never hurts to try!

Hello, yes I have updated both of my SPA-1001 with FW release 3.1.19SE.
It had fixed issues I was having with all versions between 3.1.10SE and 3.1.18SE inclusive, where every second sotf reset caused SPA-1001 to boot with audio not properly initialized ...
So the FW versions I recomend are 3.1.8SE or 3.1.19SE

You can get themes for your NOKIA 5200 on www.zedge.net.
you need to make and acount on it (its easy to set ur account up)
When u made your account u go on the main screen then go on FREE THEMES on the left hand side of the PAGE.
Look for some Themes wot u want and connect ur PHONE onto the comp or let the company send the theme to you so.
(CONNECT YOUR PHONE) You CLICK on DONWLOAD then Press on SAVE TO COMPUTER luck for ur folder on ur NOKIA 5200 then save it in that file after u done that look for it on ur phone and put it on then done.
(COMPANY SENDING)You CLICK on DOWNLOAD then press SEDN TO YOUR PHONE then type in Your PHONE TYPE and ur PHONE NUMBER then w8 for a message to send to ur PHONE (about 10 seconds or more)
you will recieve a message with a code on it, type in the code wer it sez code on your comp then u will recieve another message and then it tells u wat WEB u need to go on then Download the theme from that then DONE!!!

What happen with the IM messaging for nokia N8???

nokia can you tell me if you have plans to create a IM client for nokia n8, I bougth this device because I saw the demo and watch IM for this.
I don't want use nimbuzz or third party client please do something. or give me information if I hac still waiting for this aplication.

I am surprised, disappointed, upset, frustrated...... to see Nokia doing nothing. Isn't it so natural to have this function nowaday? What's more, my Social Networks is totally disappeared in my N8. I send emails, phone calls to HK staffs... but still with no answer.
You know what, people who use N8 in Hong Kong nowadays becomes idiots. Even worse after the news of dumping Symbian. I saw some guys selling their N8 to China at big discounts or hiding their "flagship smartphone" in their pockets.
Wake up Nokia! I think you can do much better than this.

i am using nokia 5200.from 2 days its sopped working;
display is showing but key pad not working,only 9 and * buttons working,nothing is opening,i can not access into anything(menu,music,camera)nothing!!!i am getting important bank messages,but i can not open then;they r very important to me;also my main problem is fear of loosing data;there r lots of contacts and information in inbox messages;
please any one give me information about getting data back,mostly my lovable phone working;please help me.

It sounds like your phone has a serious problem.
It may be ok internally and just the connection to the keyboard and screen is defective.
Try installing nokia pc suite on your computer and then backing it up via a cable connection. You may also be able to get your stuff such as your pictures messages etc off it with PC suite and a cable connection.
Then I think you need to take it to your nearest Nokia care point for them to take a look at it.

What new setup would you get for editing video in iMovie?

Hey gang. I'm upgrading all the electronics in my home and would love some buying and configuring advice. This question could go in the desktop discussion group as well, but the main thing that will tax the next system is family video editing and (temporary) storage. What desktop would you get? iMac or maybe Mac Mini? What camcorder? Canon Vixia ( http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/838768-REG/Canon_M50_HF_M50.html )? I want movies to load quickly and easily, so was thinking of one with SD card media. Time Capsule? (One advisor said to go with another router). And if you were going to get a new TV, what would you get? Flat panel or projector? Yeah, I know: my credit card is gonna be lovin' me. Been saving up, though, and just built all new furniture for my home office, so I can't wait to load it up with nice new gear. Thanks for any advice!

Nokia`s New Firmware (Version 30.033) for Nokia N9...

I updated my Nokia N96 to the latest updated version 30.033, which has caused my camera not working anymore. When I press the camera button it says (Camera Feature Not Supported) and the phone hangs until restarted. I “Hard Formatted” my phone but the problem still persists. I took it to a software engineer who tried to bring it back to the previous version through downgrade, which proved unsuccessful and the phone went to "white screen". My phone is still lying there for software repair from three days.This new version from nokia has really destroyed my great set. If anyone has any idea for fixing this problem then let me know.

Well it's not an new upgrade,
There have been a few reports of this issue but it appears to be relativly rare, most people update ok
Usualy a full multifingered hard reset clears it, and if not a nokia care point can fix the issue under the warenty
however your freindly software engineer, unless he is a nokia authorised repairer, has voided your phones warenty and probably killed it
you can try the multifingered reset otherwise you can take it to a nokia care point and beg them to take a look, they may fix it but you will probably be charged

Bug in New Firmware V50.0.005 for Nokia 5800 Xpres...

Hi I am facing some bug in new Firmware V50.0.005
1) In the music library it is not showing any song.(i am having arround 500 songs in memory card)
2) If i try to refresy the library, it will not complete the process. (i.e. continuesly it will show refreshing and i have manuly stoped after 1 hour). and still no songs in all songs list.
3)While playing radio it will hang after some time.(After 15 min to half an hour). you have to restart your phone to close that radio application. (no other go)
If any Solution is there for this please let me know.

For the radio problem, You may have to try to reinstall your firmware, or failing that, you may have to do a reset.
For the music library:
1. Connect your 5800 to you PC in Mass Storage Mode
2. On your PC you will need to have allowed to “Show” hidden files, do this from Explorer/Tools/ Folder Options/ View and select “Show hidden files and Folder”
3. Open your SD memory card/Removable Disk in My Computer on PC
4. Go to E:\ Private there you will see 3 folders 101f8857, 101ffca9 and 10281e17 .
5. Go to Private\101f8857\Cache\E there you will see .dat files. Delete all the .dat file BUT NOT the E Folder. Shown above right
6. Now go to Private\101ffca9 there you will see another .dat file, Delete the dat file NOT the folder.
7. Finally go to Private\10281e17 There you should see 4 files 2 are Mp3 files other are Podcast files. Delete mpxv2_2.db & mpxv2_2.db-journal for Mp3 files list and Delete pcv6_1.db & pcv6_1.db-journal for Podcast files list. Shown above right
8. Close all windows and disconnect your Phone. Go to Music Library and it should automatically start a refresh.

How to make ringtones for Nokia 5200

I've been trying to use Nokia PC suite to transfer and/or convert my music files to my phone, but my phone won't let me set them as Ringtones. Does anyone know the solution?

You can create a playlist on the phone in music player, or create one in Windows Media Player ans sync with phone. Or just select all songs and play random.

New Firmware Update for Nokia N95 (RM-159 ) :Decem...

Hello All,
It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?

New firmware for Nokia E90

Today I received a notification that a new firmware revision is available for the E90. It is listed as version 200.34.73
My current version is 07.40.1.2.
Did Nokia make a tremendous leap in versions (07->200) or is this an error?
Furthermore, if this new version is the correct one, can someone tell me what the changes are?

Windows Vista is just one of several Operating systems for PCs
It is relatively new ..The most widely used OS is XP and that is the OS that Nokia first address.
Perhaps if you ask Bill Gates to be more forthcoming with the code for his Vista OS it would be easier for Nokia to be 100% compatible with all Windows OS.
Also the latest FW is not yet available for all variants of E90.
If your PCs NSU is not finding and up date for your phone it could be that the code indicates that there is not yet a new FW available.
I am still using FW V07.24.0.3 June 2007. it work just fine.
Nokia..."ignores the needs of it's consumers.!"...???
