It has been moved to another screen on the iPod or been moved into a folder of Apps?
If you search for it by swiping to the right and entering in the name of the App does it come up then?

Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. If The can't fix it and the iPod is within the warranty period, Apple should give a a refurbished iPod.

Is there a way to download apps that require ios 7 on my ios 6 iPod Touch?
So I came across this forum as many others, just trying to find some answers as to why I can't or how I could get ios 7 on my 4th gen ipod touch... So I guess the answer is no, not possible and I suppose I can understand the reason as someone stated in another thread that it is because Apple does not want their users to have a bad experience and the 4th gen does not have the CPU nor the Ram for it to provide a usable and good experience... which leads me to the root of the problem. You see, I don't really care about ios 7 and any of its features, what I do care about is that I can no longer download some apps now because there is this popup that tells me that the app only supports ios 7 and I need to update my device to the latest software, ios 7. So how then is my Apple experience, a positive experience if I am no longer allowed to download apps that I could before the ios 7 update even existed? a
Perhaps I'm wrong? Maybe there is a way for me to download and still use these apps. If that is the case, I would love to learn how.
Honestly, this is something that really makes me nervous as I am strongly considering switching from Android (After years of Apple hating) to my first Apple iPhone. But I would really hate to get me an iPhone 5s, only to find out that in a year I could no longer download apps because a new update will not work on my phone? Is that a possibility?Well, no. It's because that the iPod 4th Gen has iOS 6 and the apps need iOS 7. I suggest that you get the new iPod 5 because it has iOS 7. Also the iPod 4 does not have enough CPU or RAM. The new iPod 5 has enough CPU and RAM to store iOS 7 apps.

I submitted my question but ran out of room in the box. I can still down load new Apps to my iPod touch AND update them but CAN NOT update the older Apps. that was on the iPod before the problem.
I have been to Three Apple Service Center stores - In Tulsa OK, Oklahoma City OK, Tacoma WA and NO ONE could tell me what is the problem OR what to do to correct it. The Tech then tells me to get hold of the main Apple Service Center number. I tell them I already have and they still recommend going to them.
I have erased all information and started over as a new iPod Touch but the problem persists.
I have called the Apple Service number and they tell me to do everything that the the Tech's at the Apple Service center stores tried to do but DID NOT work.
After I spend a lot of time on the phone, I get told to make an appointment at a Apple Service center store so they can physically have hands on assistance. Come on folks I have already done that and they were of no help. When I say that, I get told that may be the only way I can get the problem resolved.
Surely there is someone out there that knows something about what is happening OR not happening with my iPod and provide a solution.

No.
As Apple said in June, iOS 7 is not compatible with the 4G iPod.
All the iOS devices compatible (iPhone 4 and later, iPad 2 and later, and 5G iPod touch) with iOS 7 have at least 512 MB of memory (RAM). The 4G iPod only has 256 MB
If you have iOS 4.2.1 or later on the iPod and there was version compatible with that version, then you should be able to get a compatible version by:
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists. -
If you use up the screens for your apps, where do you find the latest apps you installed for Ipod Touch, 4th Generation.
Connect and select iPhone iPod touch in computer iTunes, in Apps panel, you will be able to see more than 11 pages of apps.
Also in there, you can create folders so that all your apps will fit in those 11 pages.

I am looking for a way to search for games and apps that still will run on 3.1.3. I am mostly interested in educational\kids games. This is
for the iPod my 3yr old gets handed from time to time to use.
For my own library, it's easy enough.....select all and see what won't install. But can't search the App store by what will install....You can try Googling. There is no way to search the App store or Appshopper.com by required iOS.

I have an irritating line on the screen of my 4th gen ipod touch going left to right. It starts out as a blue line (with bright backgroung) or red line (with dark background). Switching backrounds will also switch the color of the line. Sometimes it stops halfway the screen. Sometimes the blue/red line becomes white somewhere halfway the screen and continuing as a white line to the other side of the screen. It mostly starts out as a normal screen and when using the blue/red line appears and when using some more the white part appears.Mostly in the beginning the line starts flickering and becomes more steady after a while.
I have searched on the internet but can only find info on some pixels acting weird (stuck/frozen/dead pixels). This is a whole line of pixels not doing what they are supposed to do.
Anyone an idea what this could be and how to solve it?
Thanks,Did you ever fix this? My daughters is the same. Treated with tender loving care, we reset to factory and it disappeared but was back again after 2 or 3 days. Still in warranty so going to take to the genius bar, however a bit concerned that because it belongs to an 11 year old they are going to assume she's damaged it.

there are some users that have run into the same issue, we have not been able to reproduce this issue which means that we need your help.
If you could give us the crash logs that would help a lot, they are available at the following locations on your desktop once you've connected the device to it:
OSX: /Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/DeviceName/PSTouchphone....log
Windows: C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\DeviceName\PSTouchphone....log
The known workarounds are:
Uninstall and reinstall from iTunes with USB (normally works)
If that doesn't work the only known workaround is to upgrade your iOS version.
Did PS Touch always behave like this on your iPod? I.e. - when did you first install and start PS Touch?
If not can you recall how you installed PS Touch the first time?
Over iTunes or AppStore? And do you recall how you updated it?

I have a similar problem. I recieved an IPAD for my birthday, and my daughter updated my itunes library so i can use it with the ipad...and somehow all my songs (unpurchased from itunes, and downloaded from a large collection of CDs) ...and play lists were deleted. I still have them on my old ipod, and wonder how to get them back onto my computer so I can redistribute some of them to the ipad. I must be getting too old for this tech stuff, it gets less user friendly every year.
