Whats the differe

Hey
I have just upgradede my micro zen to the version 2.00.2 firmware! and its working fine! no problems But now there is a beta version 2.0.05
What does the beta version fix? whats the different between 2.00.2 and 2.0.05 ?

Teh new beta firmware inables Napster-to-go, and thats all, so if you aren't using NTG, i wouldn't recommend upgrading to it, since it is non-downgradable if you have problems.

  • Whats the different between regular strems and buffered streams?

    Hum , Hey.
Whats the different between regular streams(un buffered) and buffered streams?
When should I use buffered streams and when should I use buffered streams?
    Thanks in advance !

The buffer allows the stream to read a whole chunk of data, even though your program requests it one byte at a time. Reading larger chunks from a file e.g. is much faster than trying to read single bytes. Especially considering that usually, a whole cluster is read and you'd discard all but one byte, and then repeat the same...so if the buffered is faster . why there is un buffered streams?Lots of reasons. Maybe you're sure you're going to send or receive all the data in one transaction, so you don't want to waste memory on another buffer. Maybe you're sending data to a device that requires real-time input, like a robotic arm.

  • Whats the different in VGA Vs DVI ?

    Hey.
Anybody who can tell me the different from VGA to DVI ?
I know DVI is digital and VGA is Analog. But what is the different in quality ?
Is there any big differents ?
I ask because my new 22" screen have a non working DVI port. So i can only
use the DVI port on my Macbook Pro with a DVI to VGA adaptor.
If anyone know if it shows that mutch.
    Thanks

One thing to note about making a VGA connection to a digital display like an LCD monitor is that you have to go through a tuning procedure to get the image to look its best. You only have to do this once, or maybe check it monthly or something like that, so it's not too big a nuisance. But if you never do it or forget to do it, the picture quality difference between VGA and DVI can be more than it should be.

  • What the different of zone.cpu-cap & zone.cpu-shares?

    Hi folks,
anyone who can explain the different of zone.cpu-cap & zone.cpu-shares? I'll be thank for the response.
    Thanks

In a nutshell, caps set an upper bound and shares set a lower-bound for the amount of CPU that a zone gets.
    zone.capped-cpu
    As stated in zonecfg(1M):
Sets a limit on the amount of CPU time that can be  used
by a zone. The unit used translates to the percentage of
a single CPU that can be used by all user threads  in  a
zone,  expressed  as  a fraction (for example, .75) or a
mixed number (whole number and  fraction,  for  example,
1.25).  An  ncpu value of 1 means 100% of a CPU, a value
of 1.25 means 125%, .75 mean 75%,  and  so  forth.  When
projects  within  a capped zone have their own caps, the
             minimum value takes precedence.
The capped-cpu property is  an  alias  for  zone.cpu-cap
resource  control  and  is  related  to the zone.cpu-cap
resource control. See resource_controls(5).If you set a capped-cpu to 2 on a 16 processor machine, the zone will never get to use more than the equivalent of two CPUs. That is, it could end up with lots of things in the run queue while the system has idle processors because the zone has hit its CPU cap.
    zone.cpu-shares
zone.cpu-shares interacts with the fair share scheduler. It goes with the idea that a CPU is a terrible thing to waste. By setting the CPU shares for a particular zone to a value, it makes the zone get a minimum of a calculated percent of CPU if it is needed. The percentage that the zone gets is based on:
    (this zone's zone.cpu-shares) / sum(zone.cpu-shares across all zones)
    So, if z1, z2, and z3 are zones with 10 50 and 40 CPU shares, z1 would get at least 10% (10 / (10 + 50 + 40)) of the CPU time, z2 would get 50%, and z3 would get 40%. However, if z2 and z3 are idle, z1 could use 100% of the system's CPU resources.

  • What is the different with the NLS setting in installation

    I mean,
1.when I install the Oracle, set the native LANG to one(call it A), and client access it with the NLS set to another(call it B), what the different between if I install it with B directly? the client can get same result, isn't it?
2.For I upgrade a Oracle7 to oracle8i, the NLS keep unchanged(ASCII), both the server and the Client(developed with developer2000) runs OK. But I need exchange data with another Oracle8, whose NLS is different(ZHKGB2312,I forget it). when I upgraded the server(change to the same one,zhkgb2312), the original table size changed from 6 to 12, so the client can not run correctly.
Did anybody meet the same thing? and any advice for me to solve this problem?

    >>when I install the Oracle, set the native LANG to one(call it A),
You mean your database was created using character set A ?
    >>and client access it with the NLS set to another(call it B)
You mean your client NLS_LANG character set is B ?
what the different between if I install it with B directly? the client can get same result, isn't it?
From reading your 2nd question, I am guessing that you have Chinese data in both of your USA7ASCII and ZHKGB2312 database, and you want to exchange data between them. I am sure that this is working for all your English ASCII data, but not for the Chinese 2 byte data. This is because Oracle handles the character set conversions between the databases (character set conversion occurs only when the 2 character sets are different),the real problem is that you are using the wrong database character set to store your chinese data; US7ASCII can not process Chinese data correctly, they got into your database because you set the client character set to be the same as the database character set, hence you are fooling Oracle that you are feeding in US7ASCII data.
When you try to exchange data between databases, Oracle does not know how to receive or send these Chinese character from inside an US7ASCII database, it does not know what character set these 8 bit characters are encoded in, US7ASCII should contain 128 characters only.
Please refer to the Globalization Support FAQ - on the Globalization Support website http://technet.oracle.com/tech/globalization/content.html
for more information on Database character set and NLS_LANG client character set.

  • When syncing my phone the different categories that things are saved under appears at the bottom of the screen. what is "other"?

I only have 8G's of memory on my phone so I'm trying to weed out everything I don't need on it but I can't figure out what is being saved in the "other" category. Does anyone have any ideas?

    Hello dernd1,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
I see you're wondering what the different categories of storage are when viewing your iPhone in iTunes, specifically "Other."  Below you can find out what those categories encapsulate.
When you connect your device and select it in iTunes, you'll see your usage by content type:
Audio: Songs, audio podcasts, audiobooks, voice memos, and ringtones
Video: Movies, music videos, and TV shows
Photos: Camera Roll contents, Photo Stream, and Photo Library
    Apps: Installed apps
Books: iBooks books and PDF files
Documents & Data: App content such as contacts, calendars, messages, emails, and their attachments, Safari Offline Reading List, and files that you've created in your apps
Other: Settings, Siri voices, and other system data
Hover your mouse over the content type for more information about usage.

  • What is the different endpoint/binding-WSDLs?

    Hi All.
Could you explin what the different is endpoint/binding-WSDLs?
The endpoint wsdl seem to be working.(Tested in WS Navigatror) but binding-wsdl is not existing.
    Is it possible situation?
I want to import binding-wsdl in caf to modify existing my webservice.
Do I should do somthing for this? such as building the binding-wsdl..?
And What is the different endpoint/binding-WSDLs?

    Hi, Viboth
Answer to your question depends on what do you actually mean by "what is the difference"
Speaking generally, those words represents 2 different IOS commands and 2 different concepts.
Service instance is the way of logical mapping of traffic (based on VLAN tag let's say) to L2 or L3 instance. Also this approach helps us use single physical port as combination of logical L2 and L3 services.
Xconnect in general can refer to any connection between two network points where low-level traffic (e.g. L2) goes via high-level infrastructure (e.g. L3). But usually we mean using of L2TPv3 or AToM.
Using xconnect, you can bring together 2 service instances configured on different network endpoints.
If you could lay out the specifics of your question, maybe I can provide you more useful information.

    Nataliya

  • The different versions, regions (confused)

    Hi all.
I have been checking around some for Web Premium CS4 software on the net and I'm honestly confused about all the different versions.
I am not talking about the pricedifferences here.
Can someone tell me what the different versions are of any given CS4 product and what the difference are between them?
I know the actual software is probably exactly the same but what about support, license etc? If a person buys an US version will he be able to upgrade it later on from his home in Germany?
I've heard that there are two versions, US English and US international. But what is this "UK Version" that people are selling on ebay, is that US International?
I hope you understand what I mean and hope someone can explain this *scratches head*

My only advice to you is buy from a reputable AUTHORIZED dealer. Anything else is a crapshoot and that hold especially true for eBay where a majority of software sold is illegal.

  • What is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?

    HI ,
I want to kow what is the different between Sharepoint fast search service and Sql server fulltext search?
Or Can I abstract the Sharepoint fast search from the Sharepoint platform as a isolate component?
    Thank you.
    James

They are very, very different beasts.
Firstly FAST Search for SharePoint is the old name for the product and is only relevant for SharePoint 2010 not 2013. It got merged into the standard SharePoint search for the 2013 release.
SharePoint search is aimed at providing a Bing or Google like experience for your intranet content, as well as providing some nifty features that are purely SharePoint releated along the way. That means it can crawl SharePoint content, file shares,
outlook mailboxes, internal and external websites and probably fifty other different things if you really tried. Whilst i'm not an expert on SQL full text search I believe it's intended to provide a search feature for content held within SQL databases
    and tables.
Can you run SharePoint purely for Search? Yes, definitely.

You can use one account with iTunes on your Mac, and different account(s) with the Mac App Store (for buying/downloads apps or OS updates for your Mac), iCloud (System Preferences > iCloud) and Messages (Messages > Preferences, or command-comma)

You can download past purchases on this computer with just one Apple ID every 90 days. This computer can be used with a different Apple ID in 71 days. Whats the deal???

You can use multiple AppleIDs to purchase new music but you are limited as to how frequently you can change authorizations for re-downloading  past purchases.  It may well be a measure to deter piracy by stopping a group of people from going around to a friend's computer and downloading purchases on the other person's computer.  It is easy to avoid by making sure you have backup copies on drives at home so you never need to redownload anything.
