WHATS THE FLOW OF MATERIAL MANAGMENT IF YOU MAKE A PURACHASE ORDER ?

WHATS THE FLOW OF MATERIAL MANAGMENT IF YOU MAKE A PURACHASE ORDER ? PLEASE EXPLAIN IN DETAIL.
BEST REGARDS,
RYAN

Hi Ryan,
The t procurement cycle for a material consists of the following stages:
1. Determination of Requirements
Materials requirements are identified either in the user departments or via materials planning and control.
(This can cover both MRP proper and the demand-based approach to inventory control. The regular checking of stock levels of materials defined by master records,
use of the order-point method, and forecasting on the basis of past usage are important aspects of the latter.)
You can enter purchase requisitions yourself, or they can be generated automatically by the materials planning and control system.
2. Source Determination
The Purchasing component helps you identify potential sources of supply based on past orders and existing longer-term purchase agreements.
This speeds the process of creating requests for quotation (RFQs), which can be sent to vendors electronically via SAP EDI, if desired.
3. Vendor Selection and Comparison of Quotations
The system is capable of simulating pricing scenarios, allowing you to compare a number of different quotations. Rejection letters can be sent automatically.
4. Purchase Order Processing
The Purchasing system adopts information from the requisition and the quotation to help you create a purchase order. As with purchase requisitions,
you can generate Pos yourself or have the system generate them automatically. Vendor scheduling agreements and contracts
(in the SAP System, types of longer-term purchase agreement) are also supported.
5. Purchase Order Follow-Up
The system checks the reminder periods you have specified and - if necessary - automatically prints reminders or expediters at the predefined intervals.
It also provides you with an up-to-date status of all purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
Hope this is useful for u..

  • Whats the best way to manage 100s of thumbnails?

    I'm trying to build a simple photo management app in java, like Picasa2. I want to be able to scroll through 100s of thumbnails. Whats the best way to manage them from a memory standpoint?
    a) can I load up 100s of thumbnails into a JScrollPane? If so, will it do anything special to manage memory for the thumbnails that are offscreen?
    b) should I just draw up a grid of JLabels and page through them like you would in html?
    Is there another approach? Is there any special way to manage the thumbnails that are offscreen (besides loading them all in memory ) and still get a fast response time?
    BTW, if anyone wants to join me in this project, I'm happy to opensource and share.

    Because for some of us, it takes a lot longer than 5 mins. Besides, I was on someone else's computer.
    Regardless, I've implemented JList for images, and it works really well. For those of you who are following in my footsteps, the answer is:
    JList renders ImageIcons by default.
    If you want to render a JLabel with an ImageIcon set to an image, you need to write a custom ListCellRenderer, but it turns out that is not too hard. But here is a follow-up problem:
    My app has JLabels that subscribe to an ImageLoader that loads images in the background. On init() the JLabel just has the ImageIcon set to a placeholder image:
              myJLabel.imgIcon = new ImageIcon();
              myJLabel.imgIcon.setImage( myPlaceholderImage );
    However, once the actual image is loaded, I call a refresh method to set the ImageIcon to a new image:
              myJLabel.imgIcon.setImage( myLoadedBufferedImage );
    My problem is getting the JList to render the updated JLabel. Right now, I keep a reference to the JList with myJLabel and call revalidate() on refresh, but that doesn't seem very clean.
    Is there an easy/natural place to get the JList to revalidate()?
    Can I easily know which JLabels are in the viewport of the JList scrollpane? That way I could revalidate only the visible JLabels or when scrolling.

    Hi,
    when I try to download any APP I receive Error Code: 1009
    I try it with itunes
    Does anybody know, what the code 1009 means?
    Thank you for helping

    What country are you from?
    1009 usually means your IP address originates in a country that does not have access to an App store.

    Why is it that when I text pictures, the recipient does not receive them.  I've noticed that I have a camera roll which is where I choose pics from, but nothing in Photo Stream.  Can someone please let me know what the issue might be?  Thank you!

    Some phones can only send and recieve SMS messages. If the recipients phone doesn't support MMS they won't be able to recieve a text with a photo.
    To get your photos in Photo Stream, you'll need to setup iCloud. Check out this Apple article for more info -> iCloud: Photo Stream FAQ

  • Backed up my ipod touch with itunes now all my audio books are in itunes but i cant put them back on my ipod. i have never used such a pathetic system as this. whats the point of buying books if you cant put them back on the ipod to listen to. help please

    please help i have an ipod touch downloaded several audio books for it. backed up ipod and synced with itunes now the ipod has no audio books on it and they are in itunes but i can not get them back on to the ipod. apples systems are incredibly awkward. any other system allows for mp3's etc to be drag and drop not this long winded and what appears to be a complete waste of time. you buy things and once synced you loose it and cant put it back

    Are audiobooks still configured to sync to your iPod Touch via the iPod's Books configuration tab in iTunes?  To check, plug your iPod in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes.  This will bring you to the Summary tab.  Locate the Books tap along the top and select it.  Here you can configure how and what audiobooks sync to your device.
    Or if you want to manually drag and drop audiobooks onto your iPod, you'll have to enable the device for manual management.  See here for more details.

  • Whats the purpose of materialized view log?whats create view log with rowi

    Why we create materialized view log ?????whats the use???
    what do you mean by "create view log with rowid"
    Regards
    Gagan

    A materialized view log stores the change vectors made to a particular table in order to allow materialized views that reference that table to be incrementally refreshed rather than re-materializing the data every time. It's a much more efficient way to refresh a materialized view.
    WITH ROWID specifies that the materialized view log should store the ROWID of a row with the change vector, which is one way of identifying which row(s) in the materialized view should be updated by which change vector. You can also use the primary key value for this.

  • My phone just just filmed me and sent the video without my knowledge and the video doenst show up in the convo or in my camera roll. What the **** is going on and are you guys big brothering me?

    ***

    ashfromtoronto, is this issue solved now or was that an accident?
    Sending video messages is built in to this application. Did you look at the link I posted? See if this standard feature behaves the same as when you think the 'hacking' happened.
    Also send another video as a test to see if appears in the history on the Macbook and in the messages history on the iPhone. There may just be bugs that cause odd behaviour, but there are built in features that do what you describe - it is possible to trigger them accidentally & assume that it was part of a 'hack'.
    If the device was hacked I doubt you would get any indications if someone was spying in this way - what kind of hacker can get this level of access to iOS but reveals themselves in the user interface or messages history?
    You may have been hacked, but at least try to rule out the reasonable explanations first.

  • The keyboard in my MBA is not responding. The power button works fine and backlight is operating, but nothing else. I have tried SMC and Terminal but nothing helped. Would anyone have any idea what the problem might be? Thank you for your time.

    MBA keyboard not responding. SMC didn't work.

    If the USB keyboard still works after you log in, then the machine needs to be repaired.
    Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store, or go to another authorized service provider.
    Back up all data on the internal drive(s) before you hand over your computer to anyone. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional—ask if you need guidance.
    If privacy is a concern, erase the data partition(s) with the option to write zeros* (do this only if you have at least two complete, independent backups, and you know how to restore to an empty drive from any of them.) Don’t erase the recovery partition, if present.
    Keeping your confidential data secure during hardware repair
    Apple also recommends that you deauthorize a device in the iTunes Store before having it serviced.

  • Firefox 26.0 on Mac will not display the website top menu bar so you make category selections. The menu appears briefly and then disappears.

    After the update to version 26.0 (Mac), when visiting the Google Play website, the website menu bar which allows you to select categories disappears. When the page is loading, it will momentarily appear along with the 'gear' icon on the far right (for setting preferences). I have cleared cache, etc. and it still does not function properly.
    The site functions properly with Safari and worked prior to this last update.

    When you say you cleared cache, etc., did you also remove your Google cookies?
    If you haven't tried that yet, and in case this is based on some kind of saved cookie-based setting, after save any pending work, while viewing a page on the site, try either:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    * Tools menu > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
    In the dialog that opens, you can remove google.com cookies individually.
    Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
    On Windows 7, the page is served with that category list hidden, and then a script slides it into view. It sounds as though that part is working fine for you, but then it is losing visibility after that. You don't have any extensions which appear to hide page content, so I'm not sure what is going on there.

  • What the audio experts won't tell you.

    Don't go out investing in an audio studio until you read this:
    Recently we decided to record voices for music in our own production studio. I had never looked into professional audio so I went to ask advice and read all I could on the internet. Everytime I asked audio people about getting quality audio they would just give vague answers about "warm sound" and "quality pre amp" and about how only professionals could provide professional sound. Needless to say I believed all this nonesense. Even the sales people got in on the game. What they told me is basically this: to get good audio you need to spend at least one thousand Euros on a top level pre-amp etc... Only top of the line stuff would do. So what did I do? I went in and purchased top of the line stuff. To top it all off, I purchased an Mbox so I could use ProTools. Finally when I tested all this stuff I got AWFUL SOUND. It sounded just flat and ten times worse than what I got earlier by just plugging a dynamic microphone into my creative sound blaster card and listening on my Logitech speakers.
    It all went back to the store, especially the Mbox which is just an awful piece of equipment. It has a bad pre amp and will interefere with any other pre amp you plug into it. As a rule of thumb I avoid any USB type solutions. They are just gimmicks.
    I went back to the drawing board and wound up spending: 50 euros for Magix Studio, 120 Euros for a pre-amp, and 120 euros for better speakers which I plugged into my 100 euro professional creative sound blaster card. Total bill: 380 Euros. The audio I get is crystal clear and professional.
    Everything they told me was ****. If I had gone their way I would have spent 2000 Euros on an Avalon Pre amp, 1200 Euros on Genelec monitoring Speakers, probably 1000 euros on a high end Pro Tools solution and then some on compression modules, mixers, etc.... not to mention the Neuman 87 microphone at 2500 Euros and change. I could have spent close to ten thousand euros. The joke is that the sound would have been no better to a normal ear.
    Perhaps what is wrong with me is that I don't smoke enough joints to appreciate the difference but I tell you one thing... there's a lot of B.S out there when it comes to audio. Word to the mother.

    Dan, the MBOX is a piece of s... for the following reasons:
    (1) It is USB based, and we all know how "professionally" stable USB is... ha ha ha.
    (2) It's built in Pre-Amp is a disaster... probably because of the USB configuration. The least one could expect from a pre amp is to get its power from a real plug in the wall.
    (3) The MBOX will only work with Pro Tools! This means you can't use it with anything else. Imagine how stupid it looks when the top of the line speakers you purchase for your MBox become totally useless for anything not Pro Tools related.
    (4) I tried pro Tools. It is anything but user friendly. You can figure out Cubase and Magix Studio in minutes. I spent half an afternoon trying to record something in Pro Tools. Without instructions you'll never get it. Add to that the fact the interface looks cheap compared to others and you'll put Pro Tools right back in the box where it belongs.
    (5) If you finally decide to bypass the cheap Mbox pre amp with a better pre amp (ANY other pre amp) you'll still have to go through the cheap Mbox pre amp which adds noise and possibly level saturation.
    When I returned the Mbox to the store I saw a horrified look on the face of the salespeople. They tried every excuse in the book to not have to take it back. Fortunately I kept all the plastic bags.
    In conclusion: Digidesign went for a cheap solution and that's what they got: A cheap solution!! I used to think of Pro Tools as the Rolls Royce of audio editing. After the Mbox experience I think of it as the garage sale of editing.

  • HT1711 one of my downloaded songs finishes about 20 seconds too soon ,what the action to take? thank you

    one of my songs downloaded cuts off with about 20 seconds to go ,what action is best?

    Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting the incomplete track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes : re-downloading.
    If you aren't in a country where you can re-download music or if it re-downloads in the same state then try the 'report a problem' link from your purchase history : log into your account on your computer's iTunes via Store > View My Account and you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it ; click on that and you should see a list of your purchases ; find that song and use the 'Report a Problem' link.
    If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (it has been taking some people into a browser instead of displaying a form within iTunes) then try contacting iTunes support via this page instead : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Whats the best way to manage/display images ?

    I'm building a yet another photo management application that is designed to be a Picasa2 "lite". I've got a lot of JPGs I need to manage, all of which are loaded asynchronously and cached over the web.
    The same image may appear in multiple places, (i.e. thumbnail, fullsize, original with a zoom box, etc.) I'm having problems keeping all these images in synch when I change the underlying image -- right now I have to create all new JLabels for everything and add them to their respective Panels again. But that doesn't seem like its the best way.
    Here's my JLabel sub-class:
    public class ImageLocatorSubscriber extends JLabel {
         public final ImageDimEnum maxDimEnum;
         final ImageIcon imgIcon = new ImageIcon();
         BufferedImage bi;
         ImageLocator il;
         public ImageLocatorSubscriber(ImageLocator il, ImageDimEnum d) {
              super();
              this.maxDimEnum = d;
              this.imgIcon = new ImageIcon();
              if (il != null) {
                   this.il = il;
                            this.bi = il.getBi(RunMode.NOWAIT);
                      if (bi.getWidth()!=maxDimEnum.dim.getWidth() || bi.getHeight()!=maxDimEnum.dim.getHeight()) {
                           bi = FotoFix.resize(bi, maxDimEnum.dim);
                      this.bi = bi;
                      this.imgIcon.setImage(this.bi);
                      this.setSize(bi.getWidth(), bi.getHeight());
              this.setIcon(this.imgIcon);
              this.setBorder(Constants.borderGray);
         }Is the preferred method for changing the image displayed in a JLabel
    a) create a new ImageIcon and use (JLabel) this.setIcon()
    b) reuse the existing ImageIcon and use (JLabel) this.imgIcon.setImage();
    c) remove the old JLabel from the panel, create a new JLabel, and add that to the panel?
    I can only get c) to work. When I try to use b) some of the images are not updated properly, even as I have declared this.imgIcon as final. Any ideas, or should I just leave it be?

    override this method in any JComponent subclass
