Whats the Life of a MicroDrive in a Zen MicroPho

I use my player for about 40 hours per week, I was wondering what type of life I should expect.
Thanks

True...for this question i'm not very sure as it's rather technical on the microdri've itself. All i know it may be using the same Seagate ST- -inch microdri've as the Zen Micro. Perhaps you can visit Seagate's website for the durability info of this microdri've.

I am having difficulty charging my iphone with the cable. Its been 1 yr since I bought the phone. Does the cable becomes useleless after a year. Whats the life span for the cable? It automatically gets disconnected and then get connected again.

That is shorter than normal. Any signs of wear? And you're sure it's the cable, not one of the pins in the iPhone's charging port?

  • Whats the life expectancy of an i pad2

whats the life expectancy of an i pad2 ?

You can expect two years, as Apple will sell you a warranty extension (AppleCare) that'll extend the one year warranty to two. :-)
Odds are good it will last quite a while longer, but it's reasonable to expect 2-3 years. My rule of thumb is that by year three I definitely want a newer version even if I don't need it.
And, keep in mind that there is always a robust market for used Apple gear.

  • What's a good bitrate for songs for Zen Micropho

I know a bitrate of 60 kpbs in WMA format is not good. It makes the player skip.
Which format is better? MP3 of WMA? And what type of bitrate is too high for the Zen Microphoto I want my songs to play without skipping :/
    Thanks!!

"WMA IS BETTER THAN MP3...its straight from the cd duh~"
Well like I said, it's all a matter of what you prefere. If you say that WMA is better than mp3, well, I really can't argue with you on that. However, WMA is not straight from the CD. The music on a CD is in an uncompressed format, similar to WAV, which is why CDs have such good sound quality. WMA is a compressed format, so is mp3. When you rip a CD your computer converts the music from the uncompressed format on the CD to a compressed format, either WMA or mp3. If you really want good sound quality use WAV, but you going to pay big time with extremely large file size. The reason why is because WAV is an uncompressed format.Message Edited by FuturePilot on 07-23-2006 03:45 PM

For the life of me, I can't find out what size a photo is in terms of inches or how to change the size of the photo[s] so I can print them. I think I read somewhere to click edit, then click adjust. I don't see anything about re-sizing when I click the adjust tab: only saturation and tint levels. Thank you.

With respect to digital images, there really is no size in inches. The size is given as number of pixels horizontally and vertically. In iPhoto '09 you click the little "i" inthe lower right side of the window and it will display information related to the selected photo, including the pixel dimensions. I do not have iPhoto '11 installed so I don't know if it is the same there.
In some applications, such as preview, it has something additional called Dots per Inch (DPI) which you would think would allow you to convert the pixel dimensions to inches. It is not a real thing, though. The DPI is determined by how large or small you have chosen to print your photo and the capabilities of your printer.
There is also something called Aspect Ratio, which is usually expressed in inches x inches such as 6x9 but that doesn't mean the size on the screen or when printed is 6x9.  It is the ratio of the pixel dimensions.  When cropping your photos, you will have several standard aspect ratios to choose from plus any custom ones you create.
In iPhoto '09, after you choose Print, in the Print Setting window are the settings for the size you want the photo printed. You want to shoose a setting with the same aspect ratio of your photo. Otherwise, iPhoto will resize and/or crop your photo to fit the size you have chosen.

ok i have been trying to download albums, songs, apps, etc. and my itunes keeps asking me for the security question and for the life of me i cant remember the answers. I dont know what the email is that receives the question reset. is there anything i can do to fix this or am i screwed?

If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours.  You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method.  But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

  • What method is called only once in the life cycle?

    Hello,
What method is called only once in the life cycle of an Entity Bean and Session Bean?
    Is it ejbRemove()?
    Thanks

    hi,
ejbCreate() and setSessionContext() are called once by the container after the bean instace is created.when the bean instance goes to pool and again return to ready state to handle client requests these methods r never called .only bussiness methods r called.this is in case of stateless session bean.
in case of stateful session bean, each bean instance is associated with client.so,when new client requests, new bean instance is created and above 2 methods are called. no pool terminology in case of stateful session bean.
ejbRemove() is called by the container when it is abt to remove bean instance,so it its obvious tht it is called only once.

  • What is the life expectancy of airport express?, What is the life expectancy of airport express?

What is the life expectancy of an airport express?

My guess.....3-4 years would be about average based on forum experience.
I have one that is 6 years old...been running almost 24/7, and have had one fail that was less than 6 weeks old, so averages won't tell you much since any electronic component can fail at any time.
Is something wrong with your Express?

I just purchased the Life 11 and it erased all of my photos.  I can't seem to contact the store.  What can I do?

Upgrading to iLife shouldn't delete your iPhoto library and hopefully you have a backup to restore from just in case.
Apple recommends backing up your iPhoto library routinely >  iPhoto '11: Back up your iPhoto library
    Try rebuidling the iPhoto library.
Hold down the Command + Options keys then launch iPhoto.
Keep the keys held down until you are prompted to rebuild the library.
A dialog will appear with rebuild options. Select the options you want to use.
Click Rebuild to begin the rebuild process. This may take a few minutes to complete.

  • What is the life expectancy of M

My 3 year old MuVo N200 has been experiencing difficulties over the last month or so. Currently, the display screen displays only the Creative logo. I know that there is music loaded on there, but that does not play either. I have already tried replacing batteries. I believe that I have all of the most recent downloads. Could the problems be related to the end of the life of this product?

There is a chance that the hardware has become defecti've, however it is more likely that the firmware in the player has become corrupted. Try reloading the firmware. This might solve the problem. Back up all the files on the player to your pc before reloading the firmware, as reloading the firmware will delete what is in the player's memory. The n200 is listed on Creative's download page as the Muvo Micro.Message Edited by JK23 on 02--200807:36 PM

  • What is the life expectancy of the hp laser jet p3015 printer?

What is the life expectancy of the hp laser jet p3015 printer?

What is the life expectancy of the older base stations (flying saucer/spaceship looking one) and what are the telltale connection signs that it's starting to go?
Apple has never published any life expectancy specifications for any of their routers (or desktops/laptops) that I am aware of. As a rule of thumb, I would consider two years for any consumer electronics that operates 24 x 7 to be a reasonable period. Obviously some experience more or less and it would depend on a number of factors: ambient temperature, electrical circuit stability, area prone to lightening strikes, etc.
Some telltale signs that an AirPort has (or is about to fail):
Status lights are not illuminated or do not match any of the known configurations.
Unit feels cool to the touch after power is applied even after a lengthly (15-30 minutes) period of time.
Unit refuses to intialize, even after performing multiple "factory default" resets.
    Weak or no wireless signal.
    Ethernet port(s) not functioning
    Etc.
Also, are there any compatiility issues with newer models and G5/G4s?
    Three potential issues:
Depending on the version of OS X you are running on these clients, they may not be able to support the latest AirPort Utility required to administer the latest AirPorts. OS X 10.5.7 is the minimum required.
Support for 802.11n connectivity. Most G5 or G4 Apples support 802.11g, some only 802.11b.
Support for WPA2. Not supported if the G5 or G4 is equipped with the Original AirPort Card.

This has been happening for at least the past 2 weeks. If I don't leave my phone on the charger it drains really fast. I'll be at 100% and less than 30 minutes later it's at 83%. What's the deal APPLE??!!!
There is no Apple in this user to user forum.
Take your phone to the Apple store and have the guys at the Genius bar take a look at it.
also use the search function at the top right of the forum, "battery" look for the thread with the green checkmark.
