  • Dual sim nokia

    Friends and community nokia
    I have some questions?
what is the meaning of automatic switching bands?
when a phone have dual sim card and automatic switching bands can receive calls of the two operators?
how is the nokia phone recomended  for you that have dual sim card?
if i want  only one phone for two operator whith both caracteristics how is the best recommended phone?
i do this question because in my country we have three operators of mobile
    thanks  for your help

Dual band supports GSM and 3g frequencies. GSM has a broad coverage while 3g supports faster downloads (HSDPA) but is not available in all areas. This has nothing to do with dual SIM.  There are special dual SIM adapters for e.g. E71

  • Is there a dual sim Nokia on the market?

    Hi,
I'm new here and I'm looking for a dual sim card telephone. I've been using Nokia phones for a very long time now (currently n70), but I need a dual sim phone and I can't find any from Nokia. Apart from the Chineese funny phones, the only things on the market that I know of in this segment are Samsung's D780, D880 and D980. Are there any prospects of Nokia releasing a similar device?

Nokia have no dual sim devices on the market and they have not announced any products with that feature.
So far dual sim phones have proved to be unpopular to the vast majority so I would be surprised in nokia released one in the near future.
Nokia won't comment on unreleased products so you will get no official answer from them.
Dual sim adaptors do still work on most nokia and other manufacturers phones. These only allow you to use one sim at once but you can easily switch between them.

  • Dual-sim nokia network signal receiver type

Is it possible somehow to know what is the difference between receivers (hardware and signal level) in 101, 112, 206, 301 and more expensive models?
    Thank you!

That depends on the supported signal of the phone and the signal that your provider has in the area. These are the two information that you need to look for.
Most provider's website have a coverage map. You have to check which signal they have the strongest in the area then you need to check which phones support that signal.
The Nokia 101 supports GSM 900 / 1800 only. You probably need a 3G handset.

    Any feeback would be appreciated.

  • Give me an E72 with a dual sim

    My dream phone!
    A nokia e72 with a dual sim.
Only a real traveller with business interest in multiple countries will know the true value of a dual sim phone.  I have been using nokia phones for over 15 years now.  I always carried 3 to 4 phones at any given time, until 2006 when I stumbled upon a chinese make dual sim touch phone.  It worked alright ( I mean it served the purpose) but the user interface was lousy, it had no wifi and couldnt sync my contacts.  And worst of all it just stopped working after a few months.  Then came Samsung D880.  A very good phone indeed ! but again no wifi.  So am currently using the D880 for my overseas trips. I have one etisalat sim installed permanently in the second slot of the D880 and I insert a sim slot 1 wherever I go. But I love my Nokia e71 and can not do without it, so I have a second etisalat sim with the same number installed in my e71.  So when I am in Dubai, I switch the samsung D880 off. and use my e71.  When I am abroad, I put my e71 in offline mode and switch on my D880.  Keeping y e71 offline, still allows me to access my emails thru wifi when I am outside my office or home.
I also looked at the new samsung touchscreen dual sim phone, but was not impressed.  No wifi ! and I hate using a stylus.
So until such time Nokia brings out a dual sim phone with wifi and all the other usual great features, I guess I have to stick to my samsung d880 for my travel needs.  And as for my e71, I am happy with it but will surely grab an e72 as soon as it appears in the stores.  I did a mistake of buying the N97 last month, got carried away actually, but after a couple of days of playing with the resistive touch screen I gifted it off to some one dear.  Don't get me wrong, the n97 is the king of smartphones as on date in the market, with its awesome features and 32 gigs of memory, but it simply is not for me.
    Cheers
    Shaks

There is a very high demand for a Dual SimCard GSM phone. Many like me have to carry two mobile phones because of:
    1. Mobile operation connectivity in different areas
    2. Frequent travel domestic and international
    3. Different business and personal numbers
    4. Price of calling different mobile networks
    5. Old phone number which needs to be gradually phased out
    6. Support engineers having to carry bersonal and support mobile after office hours... etc
These are all compelling arguments for having products with dual sim capability and this perhaps why Smasung has launched 5 different dual sim models in a short time span.
I dislike samsung because of its usability and try to only stick with IPhone or Nokia when it comes to mobile phones.
India is a huge consumer base for mobile phones and a dual sim phone in my opinion can go a long way to increase the market share of apple.
Web search engines show a large number of search hits for dual sim phone and dual sim ghost cards. For travelers like me it has become a higher priority to choose a mobile phone with dual sim capability over camera and other features.

  • Regarding Dual Sim Mobile Launch

I want to know when Nokia launch dual sim support phones in which simultaneously both sims are active.........& I want to give Nokia a suggestion that plz launch dual sim mobiles with different range......e.g
    from 2000-3500 Indian Rs.
    From 4000-6000 " " ".
Plz provide me the info.when Nokia is deciding to launch dual sim mobiles....

This question pops up a lot. I doubt that a dual-sim Nokia phone is a possibility in the near future. Also, you will not be getting much info on when this possibility will occur, if at all.
I suggest you read the answers given for this exact same question raised by someone else:
    /discussions/board/message?board.id=phones&message.id=56406&query.id=215734#M56406
I'd pay particular attention to shuntfield and mccbleue's opinions on whether a dual-sim Nokia phone will be a possibility or not.
While it's not an impossible hope, the chances are very slim that this will occur any time soon.
"Try not. Do or do not, there is no try."

  • Security code - Nokia 206 Dual SIM

    Hello,
I'm having trouble with my Nokia 206 Dual SIM mobile.
My kid changed the security code, and now she can't remember what it is.  I've searched the manual, support sections and forums, but most of the solutions I can find suggest taking the phone to a Nokia Care Centre.  Unfortunately, I have no idea where to find one of these near Brisbane.
Another suggested option is to send it by post to Nokia Care Direct, but this seems ridiculously unnecessary for what should be a simple passcode reset, not to mention expensive.
I've already taken it to a Telstra store, a Virgin store and a mobile repair store, but all were left scratching their heads.
In the case of a forgotten iPhone passcode it's easy enough to restore the device, so I'm sure that I must just be missing something glaringly obvious.  I don't mind losing my data, but I can't even figure out how to perform a factory reset.
Any help to regain control of my phone will be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Raj

    Hi Dveterant_1,
Welcome to the Microsoft Mobile Community.
Are you trying to reset the phone, but you can't as it's asking for a security code? Or are you unable to access your Asha 206 as it's asking for a security code? In case you've missed @singhnsk's post, the only way to have it fix is to reinstall (flash) its software in Care Points. See: FAQ - I have forgotten the security code for my Asha.
Note: After flashing, all the personal data (contacts, calendar data, etc.) in the phone may be deleted. BTW, the link is intended for the United Arab Emirates. You can visit your local support page for future reference. See below link:

  • Adobe flash  player  for (nokia x dual sim )mobile

adobe flash  player  for (nokia x dual sim )mobile

    It's Android®...
There is no more Flash Player for Android and there won't be another. Android is no longer compatible with Flash Player. Playing Flash content is very processor consumptive and it drains your battery, also shortening the life of it. Android (Google) recommends using either "Dolphin" or "Puffin" as your browser if you need to view Flash content with a mobile device running Android. They're both availabe in the GooglePlay store. These browsers use "server side" rendering to reduce the load on your device.

If you are located in Sri Lanka, your Nokia Care might refuse to change the product code. You have to double check with them and hope the best. Although, in a situation like yours, I would not waste much time and do it myself.
That's something great to hear from you. I have been kind of a techy guy for a long time and I am a fast learner. So I believe that I will be able to execute the change of region task, if a set of instructions are there to follow. Can you provide me with a source that teaches how to change the region of a mobile phone?
Regarding the suggestions to Nokia, I then don't think that they would want to hear views from their customers and they might well want to go on their own way (probably why Samsung overtook them in mobile industry). I do not know and this is actually my 2nd Nokia phone in my life (had a short stint with Nokia 2600 Classic, a long time ago).
For an example, the Sony Ericsson Cedar (and their other basic phones) had the feature to set specific "Message tones" to specific contacts, instead of setting a general message tone for every contact. But Nokia does not provide such a feature. Probably, they think that such features are not relevant, but still many of their customers around the world would have loved to have such kinds of small small features. This feature was very vital for me during the days I was using SE Cedar and I am missing that feature a lot from Nokia 208.
The other major issue is that, Nokia does not allow minimizing of Java applications. For example, When I had SE Cedar, I used to browse internet using Opera Mini while I text with someone for a longer time. I mean, until the other party sends a reply, I browse the internet and once the reply arrives, I minimize it and continue texting and then get back to surfing internet again after sending the reply. But with Nokia, I have got to close the application to read the text message and that's been really annoying.
I tried to break the Nokia Security Wall with some sort of tutorial based on internet related to S40 firmwares, but it did not work.
Any help regarding the issues mentioned above, would be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards,
    CricDasher

  • Question about Nokia 206 Dual SIM Alarm Clock

    hi every body
how can i change the default clock alarm tone in nokia 206 ?
every time i should change it manually
is there any default setting for alarm clock ?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Welcome to the forum, karon_sh!
The alarm app uses the standard Nokia alarm tune as its default tone. You're right, when you create a new alarm, you'll need to set your preferred alert tone manually. Currently, there's no setting to change this. However, we'll take your feedback as a feature suggestion for future SW updates.
