Did you already try to clear the app from the multitask bar and start it again?
If this does not work, try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose data doing a reset.

    have you tried re-installing WhatsApp, otherwise if that doesn't work, you will need to contact WhatsApp directly and notify them of the problem.

  • Whatsapp not connecting via HH5

    I am using whatsapp on my iPhone.
    The app works perfectly via 3G but as soon as I switch to wifi via the HH5 I cannot connect.
    I have searched the forums and I have separated the 2/5ghz with different settings as suggested and renamed the two networks (tried whatsapp on both no luck) and manually changed the channel from auto.
    I have also turned off smart setup (can't see the point of this function)
    I can't think of anything else unless the parental settings are kicking in but the whatsapp website is unblocked, not only that I do not believe that the chat is over http so this should not effect the connection.
    Does anyone have any ideas how to solve it?

    I have torch 9810 and I have problems using whatsapp. Whenever cell gets out of range of wifi or disconnected my whatsapp wont send or receive messages untill I hardset the phone.
    Turning wifi off and then on is not solving the problem.
    I don't have BIS and my data services are also ON in mobile network settings.
    Can anyone help

    first try those steps in the same sequence : (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
    1) Register HRT
    KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    Please wait for one "registration" message to arrive to your Messages app
    2) Delete and Resend Service Books (pre-BB10 devices only)
    KB05000Delete the service book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account from the BlackBerry smartphone
    If you have no CMIME entry, then skip the deletion
    KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    Please wait for "Activation" Messages, one per already configured email account, to arrive in your Messages. If you have no already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
    3) Reboot
    Pre-BB10 Devices ONLY. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes.
    BB10 Devices. Hold the top button down until the counter reaches zero. Wait for the device to be fully shut down (e.g., nothing at all displayed on the screen, no LED lights, etc.). Hold the top button until the red LED is lit. Wait through the full boot-up process. IF this fails, you can attempt the battery-pull method above, but it is normally NOT recommended unless nothing else works.
    See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
    Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should contact your mobile service provider for formal support.

  • ERROR: Could not connect to WhatsApp service. Please try again later.

    Hi,
    Today there was a connection error with WhatsApp. I needed to send something, so decided to delete and then reinstall the app to try and attempt to fix the connection problem. I am using the iPhone 5C.
    Once I redownloaded the app, I opened it and the app asked me for my phone number. I typed it in.
    But to my surprise, I got this error:
    Could not connect to WhatsApp service. Please try again later.
    After several attempts of writing my phone number (100% in the correct format) I had found no luck or success.
    Anyone else having this error, or is it just me? Please provide some steps on how to fix this if so!

    2. Open WhatsApp.

    5. Done! All your contacts should be there and your chats (as long as you backed them up).

  • I have a 5c iPhone and updated to 8.1 yesterday.  I now cannot get into Whatsapp - just says 'not connected' or 'connecting'.

    I upgraded to 8.1 yesterday.  Now Whatsapp does not work.   It just says 'not connected or 'connecting', but that is all.
    I have tried hoding the sleep and the 'off' button together and waiting until apple icon comes back but it has not helped.  I do not want to delete and re-install, as I have chats ahich I want to keep.
    Please advise if possible

    I actually did, and here is the answer I received:
    "When you are sent a message in WhatsApp, but are not online to receive it, WhatsApp will automatically send your message to the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS). This allows an alert containing the message to be displayed, even when WhatsApp is closed or your phone's display is off.     I tried to delete everything from my iPhone and then restore my data with the backup on my computer but it did not change anything, I still can't receive any notification, unless I open the application... However, I restored immediatly my backup cause I was afraid it wouldn't work after, but I don't really think it would change something to first start as a new device and then erase all content again and restore it.

    i also bought a lumia 720. And, iam also facing the same problem of message apps not working. in fact i tried watsapp,  nimbuzz and g-chat. All these are getting installed sucessfully..  but not working.

  • IPhone 5s: Intermittent wifi; wifi signal is full but phone not connected to internet

    Hi all, I have a strange wifi connectivity problem.
    At home:
    iPhone 5s connects normally to wifi, but after several minutes of usage (particularly browsing the internet), wifi signal remains full but safari states that phone is not connected to internet. Other apps like whatsapp also don't work. When I disable wifi then enable it again on my phone, I can connect to the internet temporarily again, but after a few seconds it disappears again. If I leave it for a while, it automatically connects again, but intermittently and unpredictably. All in all, unreliably.
    At home, MacBook Air works fine with no connectivity issues.
    At other wifi locations, the same iphone 5s has no problems at all with wifi connectivity.
    Also, I have already
    - reset phone
    - reset network settings on phone
    - reset router
    - unplugged and replugged modem and router to wall switch
    - previous iPhone 4 on iOS 7 had no issues with home wifi
    Thus, I am uncertain if this is a phone or wifi issue. My best guess would be that it is a compatibility issue between the iPhone 5s and my home wifi?
    Any suggestions as to where I could start solving this problem would be very appreciated! Thank you:)

    If you are having WiFi problems it is necessary to isolate whether the problem is with your network or your iPhone. Note: Do NOT consider your network to be blameless if some other devices can connect to it.
    First, test your iPhone on some other WiFi networks: a friends, Starbucks, Barnes & Noble, etc.
    If it works well there then the problem is probably with your network. Try restarting your WiFi router by removing power for 30 seconds. If that does not help check for a firmware update for your router. If none exists which corrects the problem consider replacing the router.
    If your iPhone does not function well on other networks it possibly has a hardware problem. You could try Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings to see if that corrects the problem. If not, contact Apple Support or visit an Apple store for evaluation. They can provide a replacement if your iPhone is bad.
    If you need more help please give the make, model, and version of your WiFi router and how you have it configured.

  • MAC Desktop Software not connecting

    Okay, here is the problem...apart from the missing Languages:
    When I connect the 9800 to my MAC utilizing the BB Desktop Software. If  I click Applications, the only things that come up are  third party Apps that I have downloaded, AccuWeather, The Weather Channel and WhatsApp Messenger. Nothing else shows up!.
    Now if I check for updates I get the following message:  "BlackBerry Desktop Software could not connect to the update server. There may be a problem with your network connection or the server is not responding. Please try again later". Now obviously I can connect to the internet and read my mail so the network is working fine!
    So as to performing a clean reload, they do not apply as it seems its impossible to get that far.
    Also I do not understand how the the carrier can determine what is loaded on ones phone. I have tried loading the device software with the SIM card installed and without it, same thing.
    Or is it that I am doing something wrong?
    I should perhaps mention that I am in Germany and my Carrier is eplus!
    I am adding my original post, as I believe my problems are all connected:
    Languages Missing
    After reinstalling OS Software on 9800 I no longer have the languages that I had before e.g. German, French, Italian, Spanish,…don't get me wrong there are other languages, but the ones I need.
    Using the BB Desktop Software I have looked in the Backup/Restore and Applications Folders, but no mention of Languages.
    How can I get the others back? 
    I  connected my 9800 to my Mac  OS  10.8.4  with the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 for the first time. I made a backup and after that somehow my 9800 restarted and then a message came up on screen (Mac) that the device had not been put away correctly, then another message came up that the 9800 did not have an OS installed, it gave 3 options to install all 6.0.0 but with different bundles. I installed the recommended bundle. I have also tried the other bundles, with the same result, which is not the Languages that I require!

    My 2nd gen works fine with WPA2 and AES encryption.
    You may need to go back and start over.  Reset the router back to factory defaults, log on as the admin, set up security, DHCP, and make sure the IP address pool has enough IP addresses to lease to ALL of the computers/devices that will connect to that the router.

  • ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store "Error Message"

    I recently added iTunes 7.6 to my Windows XP operating system at the same time when I added an *Ion USB Turntable (TTUSB).* I currently have the 80G iPod with the larger video screen. I added in the supplied software of the EZ Vinyl Converter. The software reads from Gracenote and imports into iTunes okay. But now my PC cannot access the iTunes store to buy songs, read the tracks on the discs, or display new album artwork. The diagnostic read the network connectivety test, the CD/DVD drive, and iPod connectivity tests all read okay. I followed the directions on checking the network settings under the Internet Options Tool "Connections" Lan Settings and the Automatic detection and still no dice. All I get is "Make sure your network is active."
    Can anybody help out their?

    I'm seeing this error on some, but not all, of my Windows XP machines. On my personal development XP box, I see this error if iTunes is closed when I try and access iTunes U via my transfer script or Stanford's.
    "iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was terminated unexpectedly. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
    The errors occured in IE 7 Beta, Firefox 1.5.x, and Firefox 2 Beta. In each case, iTunes U loaded after I clicked the 'ok' button in iTunes. I did notice that in Firefox's case an additional pop-up window appeared that asked whether or not I had iTunes; when I selected that I do have itunes, it transfered me to iTunes but generated the error.
    After getting these errors on my Windows XP machine, I tried it on two different lab machines running Windows XP, and didn't get the error message once -- I tried it in IE 6, Firefox 1.0.x and Firefox 1.5.x and they all worked. It even worked with IE 7 Beta and Vista Beta.
    Based on this, I think the problem must lie in how Windows registered iTunes, and the handshake just isn't happening properly.
