Whatsapp not working

As I update contacts in phone list but it does not update the whatsapp contact list. Whats the reason behind that?

try to change the read/write permission in the applications list for whatsapp..still if u find it unfixed then reinstall the app...

I actually did, and here is the answer I received:
"When you are sent a message in WhatsApp, but are not online to receive it, WhatsApp will automatically send your message to the Apple Push Notification Service (APNS). This allows an alert containing the message to be displayed, even when WhatsApp is closed or your phone's display is off. Most often, all that is needed to resolve notification issues is to ensure that all notification settings are enabled. Review these FAQ pages for troubleshooting steps:

Sending your message to APNS typically takes only a few milliseconds. Once your message is sent to APNS, any delays or failure to deliver the message as a push notification to your device are usually caused by issues with your phone or network connection. If you are using iOS 7, and are confident that you have all push notification settings enabled in WhatsApp and the iPhone Notification Center, then there is likely an issue with your phone that WhatsApp cannot resolve for you. In this case, I recommend the following steps:
Backup your entire phone to iCloud.
After the backup is complete, Erase all content and settings.
Continue setting up your phone as a new device (do not restore from the iCloud backup).
Install WhatsApp and verify that push notifications are working correctly (have someone send you a few test messages while your phone's display is turned off).

I tried to delete everything from my iPhone and then restore my data with the backup on my computer but it did not change anything, I still can't receive any notification, unless I open the application... However, I restored immediatly my backup cause I was afraid it wouldn't work after, but I don't really think it would change something to first start as a new device and then erase all content again and restore it.

These versions are not feature complete, and are not supported by whatsapp. Please use supported versions of the BlackBerry 10 OS'. Is they anyway I can get bar file to Side load? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to install Whatsapp on Lumia 720. Its getting stuck in "creating favourites", I tried re-installing after performing a soft reset, however no luck.

i also bought a lumia 720. And, iam also facing the same problem of message apps not working. in fact i tried watsapp, nimbuzz and g-chat. All these are getting installed sucessfully.. but not working.
in watsapp.. -connection state= ''NOT CONNECTED''
in nimbuzz - ''couldn't connected to nimbuzz''
in gchat - ''loading contacts..''
but iam able to browse, use facebook, gmail, etc,... just the chat apps are not working.
it seems like a common problem.

Developers please try to fix the problem for whatsapp first because it the the most important application we find. The messages are delayed and does not show immediately, we cant sent videos and music on whatsapp. Many people refrain to buy Nokia windows phone just because of this problem. There are lots of problems in whatsapp too

Have you come across the problem where some of the Gadgets that you added to the Sidebar/Desktop are not displayed correctly? For example, the clock gadget may be displayed as a black square containing only the "seconds" hand. Other gadgets may show up as
white rectangles with an information (i) icon and a plus sign. The settings button next to the gadget does not work, but the
x to close does. Here are some screenshots:
The above-mentioned behavior is caused due to the following reasons:
A subkey with foreign/ASCII character exists under the "Zones" registry key.
XML registration is missing in the system.
Use these steps to fix the problem:
Fix for Case 1
1. Click Start, type Regedit.exe and press {ENTER}
2. Navigate to the following branch:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Internet Settings \ Zones
3. Under the Zones key, delete the subkey shown with an ASCII character:
4. Exit the Registry Editor.
5. Logoff and login back to your user account.
Fix for Case 2
1. Open an
elevated Command Prompt window. To open an elevated (admin) Command Prompt, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories,
right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator.
2. In the Command Prompt window, type the following command and press ENTER:
regsvr32 msxml3.dll
3. Similarly, run these commands:
regsvr32 scrrun.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
You should see the DllRegisterServer in <filename> succeeded message for each command executed.
4. Logoff and login back to your user account and see if the Gadgets display correctly.

whatsapp is not working properly after software update, some times contacts never sync. screen goes pale and chat window doesn't show properly.
Looks like memory problem after the new updates or anything else?

Similar complains around the web. I'd recommend getting the phone flashed at a care point to see if that improves the situation.
Do wait for a couple of weeks for the full firmware files to be available at the respective care centers. AFAIK, they are not yet available in India.

The reason why it's not working is because your phone doesn't support Whatsapp. You may search for a similar application like Nimbuzz, We Chat, etc.

Whatsapp not working properly after OS 10.3.1.1565 upgrade

After upgrade to OS 10.3.1.1565, I have issues with Whatsapp: when I receive pictures, they don't download anymore to the picture folder and even I cannot open them from Whatsapp. They just stay in blurry mode withing the whatsapp conversation. Any hints to solve this issue?

On my side, suddenly this problem desappeared...without me doing anything. Strange but at least it works.

Hi, whatsapp sent several messages to upgrade my version. Now that I've upgraded to v2.7.64, it refuses to work. It downloads and installs fine but when I open it it gets stuck on the updating page. I've tried deleting it downloading it again several times but no change. I've tried to download it from my app world but no difference. it just gets stuck on the same intialising page and says updating. I use whatsapp alot so please help.

i have i phone 4.. i live in South Africa. i was using whatsapp absolutely fine, and then updated phone software to latest version. all apps were deleted and now im not even able to download whats app? .. when ever i try on the app store or through a link it say "your request could not be confirmed" ...why? and how can i get it.. All others in SA are using it fine? ... very frustrating when i update my software and then some how ables capable of making my iphone experience worse than it was before

I done a phone swap from a Blackberry Curve 8250 to a Blackberry Bold 9780. I reinstalled everything and I had no problems what so ever. But when I tried to go onto Whatsapp, I had to verify my number again. So when it comes to verifying my number it I think "downloads" but freezes at 409 (1 out of 2). I have rebooted my phone several times and uninstalled and reinstalled Whatsapp. But nothing seems to work. What should I do?
