Whatsapp problem for Torch 9800

Hello,
I have a problem with my phone. I downloaded this app from the official website, installed and working fine for a couple of days. Then, it starts to lag and freezes for no reason, especially when I'm scrolling down looking at my contacts in favourites. I did a soft and hard reset and doesn't work at all. So i ended up deleting this app and reinstall again and the problem is still happening.
Any comments?

Hi @denizua98! Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums!
No, you cannot install Os 7 on your Torch 9800.
OS 6.0.0.756 was the last update.

  • Desktop software for Torch 9800

    Hi there
Have downloaded the desktop software for Torch 9800 for use on new PC with Windows 8.1 and each time it synchronises (only doing calendar and contacts one way from device to PC in outlook) the desktop programe  crashes half way through.  Help please.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I've seen multiple posts from folks on Windows 8.1 having various issues. My suspicion is compatibility...refer:
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop/desktop-pc/system-requirements.html
As you can see, it states Windows 8, but not 8.1. Hence, my suspicion is that the current versions of the Desktop Software are not compatible with 8.1, and hence cannot be expected to provide proper functionality.
    Good luck!

  • Browser configuration is not visible in options of browser for Torch 9800

I have recently bought Torch 9800 and I have upgraded my plant to use browser services.
Problem arised when I tried to upgrade Blackberry App World, while downloading my phone automatically rebooted.
After reboot there was no icon for Blackberry App World and also I couldnt browse.
So I checked with my service provider and they asked me to check my browser settings,
to my misery now there is no 'Browser Configuration' in option menu.
Please somebody help me with this...I am really stuck as SP says nothing they can do about it.

Hi. I tried it, but it did not help. :(
It is strange. Before I had the error in log:
Unable to rename '/appl/ucm_cluster/server/weblayout/resources/schema.work' to '/appl/ucm_cluster/server/weblayout/resources/schema' while publishing schema.
When I looked into the 'schema' dir there was old doctypes in js file
In 'shcema.work' which was supposed to be renamed to 'schema' there was my correct document type in js file.
Now in /server/weblayout/resources/schema/views/doctypes/all.js file there is only my correct document type but i still have in gui the old wrong doctypes! :(

  • Upgrade software for torch 9800

I have BB Torch 9800. I m living india and carrier is Airtel. Can anybody help me to how to upgrade software.

    Hello,
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    2) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/?lid=us:bboftwareesktopSoftware&lpos=us:bboftware
    3) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
    4) If that OS package is from a carrier other than the carrier for which your BB was originally manufactured, then delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
    5) Launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC. If, during the process, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue.
    Don't forget to backup.
If you are on MAC, you are limited to only your carriers sanctioned OS packages...but can still use any levels that they currently sanction. See this procedure:
KB19915How to perform a clean reload of BlackBerry smartphone application software using BlackBerry Desktop Software

  • MEP 0 LEFT FOR TORCH 9800

    Please unlock my Torch 9800
    provider : AT&T
    Thank you
Edit: Personal information removed (IMEI). At no time should you provide any personal information to any other community member. Check out the User Guidelines for details.

After the ten attempts have been used, you must get RIM to unlock the device.
There are two routes, and only two, to achieve this.
    * IF your device is in warranty, contact your service provider technical support. Tell them you have this issue which needs to be escalated to RIM level customer support. I'll warn you that most carrier technical support people will first assume and think you are referring to a device security unlock, and you will need to convince them otherwise and explain clearly what you need. THEY will not be able to help you because the carriers themselves cannot unlock a device which has had the MEP code attempts depleted, and should (and you will need to ask) to have the case escalated to RIM level tech support.
    * If your device is out of warranty, contact RIM direct. See the Contact Us information from the website: http://ca.blackberry.com/contact/ The options you want to select to speak to BlackBerry Customer Care are 3 (for inquiries, orders, billing, e-RMA etc) then 5 (e-RMA and Out of Warranty).

  • Changing user for Torch 9800

I did get a new phone to myself and will give my well served Torch 9800 too my wife to replace even older Nokia E71. But what is the best way to change user for phone? I am not worried about leaving any data to phone, but I want to change all e-mails addresses, phone set-ups etc.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Whenever you give your phone to someone else, do a security wipe. That way, it'll be like they're getting a new phone right out of the box with no data left over from you.
    I hope that helps you.

  • New battery for Torch 9800

I need a UK supplier for a NEW torch 9800 battery - having amazing difficulty finding one.
Blackberry do not seem to provide one.

Amazon is always a first thought. Have you already checked? Is it an option for you?
I expect an online purchase is going to be your only recourse. I don't know best sources for UK, however. See what others say.

  • Outlook Sync Problem with Torch 9800

I have always problems to Sync my 9800 to Outlook, I know this problem is caused because for some reason son calendar entries with Attendees field starting  ""< fails, and I get the message: Error encountered. Error Code 0x80040fb3. Check Documentation,  I normally  delete this Outlook entree and Sync and problem solved, however deleting the entree is not a acceptable solution, when there is several entries with the same problem.
Is there a way to fix this issue?
Some user suggest to delete all calendar entries and make a new Sync, this also works but takes a lot of time, and I wonder if this problem is already solved.
My desktop software is version 6.1.0.35
    Please advice,

  • Latest Os for torch 9800

    Hi,
I have observed that there is a updated OS for 9800 torch available i.e 6 Bundle 3106, (6.0.0.723) from SK telecom.
Presently I am on OS 6 Bundle 3049 ( 6.0.0 706). I am in India and use Idea telecom's services.
Can anyone inform me what is the difference in the latest update.
And also is it wise for now to update to the latest version i.e OS6, bundle 3106 or just be happy with the present one, i.e OS6, Bundle 3049 ?.
    Thanks in Advance ,
    Regards,
    B.D.Badan

If you're not facing any issue with your present OS then you better be stick with it. OS updates usually provides minor fix and better performance of the device. Officially there is no change log available for the new OS.

  • Simplified Chinese for Torch 9800

I have exhausted all possibilities. Help , please.
I have downloaded the file on my media card, cannot use it.
there is no Language and Input Support
in my application on desktop manager.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
From what you have described, you are going about it all wrong...your media card is irrelevant. Start here please:
KB05305 Localization support for BlackBerry smartphones
The simplest way is to, on a PC (you cannot do this on MAC):
    1) Make sure you have a current and complete backup of your BB...you can find complete instructions via the link in my auto-sig below.
    2) Uninstall, from your PC, any BB OS packages
    3) Make sure you have the BB Desktop Software already installed
    http://us.blackberry.com/software/desktop.html
    4) Download and install, to your PC, the BB OS package you desire:
    http://us.blackberry.com/support/downloads/download_sites.jsp
It is sorted first by carrier -- so if all you want are the OS levels your carrier supports, your search will be quick. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To truly seek out the most up-to-date OS package for your BB, you must dig through and find all carriers that support your specific model BB, and then compare the OS levels that they support.
As you choose OS files to use, please keep in mind the information from KB05305 (linked above)...you must choose OS files that include the language(s) you desire
    5) Delete, on your PC, all copies of VENDOR.XML...there will be at least one, and perhaps 2, and they will be located in or similarly to (it changes based on your Windows version) these folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
    C:\Users\(your Windows UserName)\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
6a) For changing your installed BB OS level (upgrade or downgrade), you can launch the Desktop Software and connect your BB...the software should offer you the OS package you installed to your PC.
6b) Or, for reloading your currently installed BB OS level as well as for changing it, bypass the Desktop Software and use LOADER.EXE directly, by proceeding to step 2 in this process:
    http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Device-Software/How-To-Reload-Your-Operating-Syste...
Note that while written for "reload" and the Storm, it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or reload any BB device model -- it all depends on the OS package you download and install to your PC.
If, during the processes of 6a or 6b, your BB presents a "507" error, simply unplug the USB cord from the BB and re-insert it...don't do anything else...this should allow the install to continue. During the process, there also will be a screen to choose the components to install to your BB...review ALL of these very carefully and be sure to INCLUDE any that are specific to the language(s) you desire to be available on your BB.
Good luck and let us know!
