Whay a user recieved a workintem in his SAP inbox

Hello,
I have been asked to find out why a workflow document was in a users SAP inbox. the task that generated the workitem was TS00008046. I am not that knowledgeable in workflow but I am checking the Task in PFTC and I cannot determine how the work item was sent to his inbox. Since this has heppened we have assigned this task to a position so now the people in this position receive these notifications.
if someone could please lete me know what I can checked to find out this information, it would be a big help

I found the IDOC number and when I check in WE02
for the error 51 record I see XI_RFCUSER
I am not sure where to look for XI_RFCUSER

Decimal Notation in Forms as per his SAP Decimal Notation

Hi,
We need to display all numeric fields in the Adobe Form as per the Decimal notation of the User in his SAP user defaults.
Also, we need to take care that the currencies have current decimal places.
Please let us know if this is achievable in Adobe Forms. Is there a way we can set the number format of a field dynamically in Adobe.

to be bale to decide in your abap-printprogram, which format to use for printing, you can read the decimals and number format from customizing (or user) and then pass into form through an additional interface parameter format_string of i.e. CHAR060.
Place your format string in a hidden textfield on your form
This format string can then be used in the adobe form to format the text-field using script:
this.format.picture = your_hidden_textfield.rawValue;
we do so for date-formats and currency-formatting we read out of the country customizing.

Is it possible to send user id in the column of 'Author' of SAP Inbox.
For example:
Whenever the PR/PO is created Workflow is getting triggered. Now agent gets the workitem in to his/her inbox.
In general, Author column of SAP inbox is empty.
Now my requirement is to appear the PR/PO creator's user id in place of Author's column.

Error Idocs automatically transffered to users SAP Inbox

Hi,
I need to configure, such that Idocs with certain error messages will be automatically transffered to the users inbox (SAP inbox) based on the plant in the Idoc.
Understand that to achieve this, will have to maintain the org plan in transaction PPOME. But what are the other things that need to be done?
Would greatly appreciate step by step instructions to achieve this.

Rajeev Kasturi uses almost 10 pages in his book SAP R/3 ALE and EDI TECHNOLOGIES to explain.
You have to do a complete workflow basic config including not only org plan but also org usnits, positions, assignments.
Activate event triggering and linkage
Acticate workflow generally
configure partner profile parameters for receiver of notification
Set ALEAdmin in EDI system table.

Workflow task showing in sap inbox but not executable by some users

Hello Experts,
We have a workflow task that correctly show in the user inbox but is not executable by some users, we have two users with the same roles, and one is unable to execute the task when it is workflowed into his/her inbox. we have checked if this is an authorization issue and found nothing.
We debugged through program SAPLRHW1 under include LRHW1F02 subroutine READ_ORG_BUFFER, it imports TASK_INFO_BUFFER from the shared memory(see code below) and come back with a number of tasks that the system user can execute. We have task TS&&&&&&&& as a general task but some of the users cannot execute it.
Please advise of what could be the cause of this and the possible solution.

        IMPORT CREATION_DATE
               CREATION_TIME
               ORG_INFO_BUFFER
               TASK_INFO_BUFFER

Hi All,
I had experienced this type of problem as well, just to share it could be that the Identity of the Portal user misses a role which can be solved by any user assigning the identity in their identity management or it could also be the connection status of the UWL to the backend, there should be at least two connection statuses for workflow items to get into the UWL I could not recall it but I would post it here once I have the access to our system again.

SAP inbox forward to user STATUS 'READY'

Hi Experts
I have chanllenge with workflow item from SAP Inbox in Production. I am trying to forward the workflow item to any of the users from SAP Inbox(SBWP) and when i see the forward workitems its in status "READY".
i have checked the workflow ID in TCODE : SWI1...and shows the status as READY.
i did refresh the buffer SWU_OBUF but the results are same as expliained above.
can pls know...What would be the problem...

Which user? A) The one who sent the item, or B) the one who should have received the item?
If it is the case A, then this is normal. If you forward the work item to someone, it will disappear from sender's inbox. B) If the received doesn't receive the work item (and you are not getting any error message when forwardig), then something is seriously wrong...

SAP Inbox User ID Details

Hi,
When I execute a Workflow report, I would like to capture the User details of a Work Item when,
User A forwards a Work Item to User B but User B has not clicked/selected the Work Item in his/her Inbox.
I am able to capture the User ID of User B ONLY when he/she selects the Work Item. Is there any table that will provide these details? Could you please help? Many thanks.

You can check the details whether the workitem was forwarded or not from table SWWUSERWI. To find out the details as to who forwarded the workitem to whom can be checked in the workiutem logs from table SWWLOGHIST.

How to pop up a system message for a specific user when She/He log on SAP

Hi Friends,
As we know SM02 setting will pop up a system message to all users in specific client in a specific period when the user log on SAP system; and we can do the same thing via using function module SM02_ADD_MESSAGE.
But now we want to pop up a message to a specific user ID when somebody log on SAP via this ID, instead of all user IDs in the client. Please do we have any similar traction / function module / class method to to do this job??

Error while creating user in LDAP (MS ADS) from SAP Portal 7.0

Is it obliged to use SSL connection to create new user in LDAP (MS ADS) from SAP Portal 7.0 ?
I've configured the UME with ldap server adress and port 389. And use configuration file "dataSourceConfiguration_ads_writeable_db.xml"
I succeed to view users existing in LDAP but when I try to create new user I've the following error message:
LDAP: error code 53 - 0000001F: SvcErr: DSID-031A0FC0, problem 5003 (WILL_NOT_PERFORM), data 0)

Need to send Spool file to user's SAP inbox

Hello all,
I have scheduled a background job to send the spool file to the receipient's SAP inbox.
The user is getting the file but when compared to the spool file it is much smaller. The spool file is around 1700 pages and the user is getting only 27 pages of data.
Can anyone tell me where am I making a mistake.
Actually what is the maximum spool file size that can be transfered.

Go to Tcode:SP01->Select ur spool no-> and F6-->
We have to click SETTINGS option:
From page:1
To page:1700(In this case)
and press it will all the pages.

Workflow - I am not able to recieve the Deadline notification in my Inbox?

Hi,
I have a workflow wich checks the Incoming invoice against a PO and then I post the Invoice.
If no action is taken on the Invoice then a deadline notification is sent to my Inbox.
There is no agent assignment and all the process is done in the background. I am not able to recieve the Deadline notification in my Inbox.
what could be the possible reason?

Hi Chamandeep,
Have you verified how the workflow is generated?
SWLD transaction, then Utilities -> Work Item Selection.
This report will list the work items generated by you into R/3 system.
There you can see the workflow log, if you double-click on one of the lines of the report.
If you have already done all of this and see all the recipients are correct, then you could take a look at SWU3 transaction (Customizing for Workflow) and see if the Workflow runtime system is completely customized.

User Forms are not displaying in SAP B1 2005

I have created an application using SAP B1 2004. All user forms are displaying properly in SAP B1 2004. But when I am trying to run the same application in SAP B1 2005, It is unable to display some of the User Forms.

Hi Archana,
Are you using some special items in your form?
You say the form is not displayed, do you have a return error or exception when trying to open it in debug mode?
In Debug mode please pay attention to the VS.NET configuration, you have in Debug Menu -> Exceptions to configure all types of exception to throw into the debugger. Sometimes the COM exception are not thrown and your code just jumps after the error to the end of your method...
Have you tried to open the xml of your form with the ScreenPainter to see if everything is correct in there?

I usually use the OS connection option. So as you suggest, connect without the ISP connection software. Doing so does not by-pass the sudo command being active in Activity Monitor however.
On reading my post I see my failure to link the concerns of the laptop purchase with the sudo and modem. My thought here is of an intersection of known vulnerability with this widely used modem/software (via permanent sudo process activated) and that vulnerability then being known and utilised by another party(s).
I am pursuing the issue in part with consideration to a broader possible issue of vulnerability.

User license query while integrating with SAP HR system

One of our clients wants to develop web based employee self service applications (web enabled modules) on their existing SAP HR suite.
Currently they are on SAP HR , ECC 5.0
Would they need to buy extra licenses for integration with the existing system or can the existing licenses be used concurrently?
I am not sure where to look for this piece of information. In case this question is inappropriate to this forum my apologies for the same.
