Whay data restriction also stops texting usage?

I use data restriction so when one of my mdn reach its limit it not only stop them from using the data but it also stop from textiing and receiving messages. Why does it stop texting when i'm only stoping internet data?

I know the answer to this question Jimbo2552! The $60 plan outlined in your post is a loyalty plan and it is not eligible for employee discount, as it is already a discounted plan.

Background Data Restricted

Hi, I am in the process of upgrading all my company phones to the Motorola Turbo. So far I have set up one and right before I was about to give it to the owner a notification came up in the "shade" with a red icon saying, "background data restricted". All I can do it touch or swipe the notification to have it removed. We previously had the Droid Razor Maxx and Maxx HD and had the same issues so I'm pretty bummed I'm not again getting this notification.
From what I can tell, there is no battery saver on the Turbo so that can't be a factor. I've also verified under settings, data that the "restrict background data" box is NOT checked. Any other suggestions as to how to prevent this from popping up and restricting background data?

I assume you're referring to when you go into settings, data usage and then scroll through the list of apps on the bottom and click on each one individually and then at the bottom of that screen verify every one has the box for "restrict background data" unchecked? If so, I did this and verified every single one has the box unchecked.
Any other suggestions?

Ever wonder why carriers don't send text usage alerts for your minutes? They do it for data but not minutes.

I don't know about anyone else but I check my usage almost every day. If you're with AT&T you can download the "my AT&T" app that will allow you to check your minutes and data usage. You can also send a free text to *MIN# and *DATA#, and you will get a free text back telling you how many minutes and how much data you've used (as someone else has already said). I'm sure Verizon has a comparable service. These days I'm checking more for my data usage than minute usage, as I have a considerable amount of rollover minutes built up with AT&T. I'm on wifi most of the time but I still like to keep track of the data, just to be sure I'm not going over.

I have a Item UIDRef but facing a problem for getting data as set in "text on path option" dailog box for each "text on path" item.
What I did:
- Getting the pointer "IMainItemTOPData" using item UIDRef as
InterfacePtr<IMainItemTOPData> mainItemTOPData(shapesUIDRef, UseDefaultIID());
- This interface has the method GetTOPOptionData () which return ITOPOptionsData pointer
- But SDK don't have "ITOPOptionsData" class implementation.
Second Approch:
- Used "ITextOnPathSelectionSuite" and getting the correct result for Desktop plugin.But I want the correct result in server plugin also.
Anyone who has an idea how to get this using UIDRef, please let me know.

For the messaging issue outlined in your post, are you referring to text messages or voice mail messages? What is your phone's software version?

Transfer Data from excel to text file or SAP R/3

extracting data from an excel sheet to SAP u can use the function module GUI_UPLOAD.
I am providing u its parameters also as it might be useful to u.
The mandatory fields here are FILENAME n in TABLES (in which u will be saving ur data).
and also if u need to download from sap to any file u can use GUI_DOWNLOAD in which u can save data in both excel or txt file.
U can also use SAP_CONVERT_TO_TEX_FORMAT function module to convert into text file.

Data Execution Prevention stops quicktime playing.

I can't get quicktime to play at all, every time I try Data Execution Prevention stops it.
I have tried to turn off DEP for quicktime but it won't let me.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both quicktime and i tunes, also removed any Codec Packs I had installed,( I read to do this on another forum).
Still windows won't let quicktime play, either stand alone or on the net.
I am running Windows Vista.

Just to say "me too".
Fresh copy of Vista, fresh download of itunes & quicktime, installed - quicktime won't start because of a DEP, uninstalled & reinstalled - the same, cannot turn off DEP for Quicktime.

How are you trying to restrict it? If you're trying to
restrict it uniformly, for example, to entirely numerical inputs,
then the easiest way I know of to do so is with an itemEditor. You
can just add the same itemEditor to each column that way.
This only saves work over custom renderers if you're trying
to restrict multiple columns in the same manner, but for numeric
only tables, it's pretty short.
You could probably also do it with itemEdit and
itemEditBeginning events, but that would likely be more work then
simply declaring a single global itemEditor and using it in all
your columns.

IW31/32- Change Date Restriction choices for "StartPoint" and "End"

Hello,
In IW31/32> Operation tab> then "Dates" screen.
Is there a way to change Date Restriction choices for "StartPoint" and "End."
Start Point: there are 4 choices: Must Start on, Cannot start before, cannot start after, start from resource planning
End: Must finish on, Cannot finish before, finish not later, finish from confirmation.
We want to limit the choice to 2 optiions on Start and End/ in addtion change the text.
Is this possible.

No its not possible to accomplish this in standard using configuration functionality.
You may able to accomplish restricting the values on the drop down through the implicit enhancement functionality available in ECC 6.0.
You will have to make a screen modification to make the associated start point/ end point key text editable.

Hi,
This is actually a configuration item. Transaction VOTXN (VOTX in 4.6C) can be used to configure the text types, text procedures, and access sequences for sales order texts as well as other types of texts. Part of the configuration procedure allows for some ABAP control over the copying requirements.
This is from the online help for data element COPNR (on the VOTXN screen SAPMV80T 800, field TTXZI-COPNR) :
You can create your own routines for text determination. For example, if you want to send different messages to particular groups of customers, you can create routines that automatically assign different messages to different groups (e.g. wholesalers, retailers).
Note
The fields available for determining texts are defined in structure TVCOM, which can be found in the routine under FTVCOM. Generally, however, the fields filled in the structure are only those which are used or recognised for text determination by the caller. Other fields can, for example, be filled during sales document processing via user exits USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_TVCOM_H and USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_TVCOM_I. The user exits are described in the IMG under Sales and Distribution -> System Modification -> User exits.
I'm not sure if filtering by sales group is possible, but I don't see why not.

Background Data Restriction

I keep getting this notification saying background data restriction and it says to "touch to remove restriction"
What does this mean and how do i make this notification to stop popping up.

i have the Bionic, and after FOREVER with Verizon, i finally called Motorola, who did a soft reset. (phone on, battery out, hold the power button down for 15 seconds) as soon as i was powered back up, the notification was GONE! YAY!!
then? i went to update apps...and google play store sent me a message..."data background has to be enabled for apps to function properly"
so its the google playstore that's doing it! not a setting with verizon.
mystery solved. I did not enable...we'll see how the updates go.

Pricing Date restrictions

Here's the question...
Do any of you know of a way to restrict the ability to backdate pricing dates to only a few people, through authorizations or otherwise?
We'd also like to restrict certain delivery blocks to only certain people, again, authorizations seem like the right choice here but there could be another way...
I'd like examples of this sort of thing done through the user exits recommended by Shiva on the SD forum. He recommended USEREXIT_NEW_PRICING_VBKD in program MV45AFZB for the pricing date and USEREXIT_CHECK_VBAK in program MV45AFZB for delivery blocks.
Can any of you give more specific direction?

Pricing date can be restricted. Basically in the mentioned exit you have VBKD details. But I didn't get your requirement fully what exactly you wish to do? Do you wish to give the authorizations to change the pricing date?
Delivery block and Pricing date change authorizations are possible, but you will require ABAP help too, in any of the suitable user -exits we can code for checking the authority object then show some error messages to unauthorized user.
This kind of restriction can be done.
