After a couple of days, I'm noticing that the repeat(ing) offenders have more than 10 episodes, and seem to keep repeating them every time I sync.
They only show once in my phone and in the iTunes Podcasts, but through iTunes and looking at what's in my phone is when I see the repeats.
Even after I've marked a podcast as played, and deleted it from within my phone, as well as telling iTunes to delete the played episodes, it still shows multiples of the played episodes.
There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it either. They aren't the newest ones either.

I have no idea what you're ranting and rambling about. Your "simple question", if you're referring to the one in this thread, makes little sense other than how I addressed it. If my answer didn't cover your question, post back and clarify what it is you're asking. Don't just come back and post a rant; it's insulting (and the "human" crack doubly so) to all those here, who are just fellow users trying to help out other users and who don't owe you one second of their time.
If you want tech support directly from Apple, you call them; it's that simple. Contact information is linked from the bottom of every Apple web page, including this one.
Geez; the old saying that "no good deed goes unpunished" continues to get proven true every day.

If the word "Off" is sort of cloudy and the settings are greyed out - that means you do not have restrictions enabled - but just in case - do you use a passcode to lock the iPad?
Exactly what message are you getting and where are you getting the message - what does the "email icon" mean?

You can see which apps are open and/or recently used by double-clicking the home button to bring up the taskbar at the bottom of the screen (not all apps that appear there are active) - you can then close apps on it by pressing and holding one of them for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar. If you have an app 'open' on-screen then it won't appear on the taskbar, you will need to go back to the homescreen first, and it should then show when you next open the taskbar.
If you haven't already got a copy then you can download the iPad manual from here : http://support.apple.com/manuals/#ipad

  • How can I tell what Software Update Groups are members of Deployment Packages?

    I have a single SCCM 2012 SP1 CU4 server running on Windows Server 2012.
I am trying to clean things up a little bit and I am curious:
How can I tell which Software Update Groups use
which Deployment Packages?  I don't see it on the Properties of either one.
    Thanks!

Funny thing is that you can't see from the software update (in the software update group) in which deployment package(s) it exists. Your only options are manually comparing every single update (not really an option), or use PowerShell and do something
    like this:

How can I tell which update for reader i have? I downloaded 11.0.07 once and later I had a request to download this again which i did

What I did was to select the adobe reader pop-up which
Appeared on my dock and downloaded the
    Update 11.0.07.
I then went to "about adobe reader" and the terms of agreement  showed up, And, like you, no place to
Agree, but, the top portion of the agreement indicated that I had 11.0.07 update.
So,I believe I have the latest update
The whole adobe site is much to confusing to me.
I don't know why you can't use it?how did you determine
    You could'nt use it?

  • How Can I tell what program is asking to update?

I keep getting a message that a program needs administrators permission to update. I have no idea what program could be updating so rather than sign in I cancel. Periodically the message pops up again. I don't want to install something I shouldn't. Is there a way to find out what program is trying to update?

    Hello Bobng,
It sounds like the Mac App store has an update ready for one of your apps and you want to know which app it is. You can see what updates are available in the Mac App store with this article:
OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1338
Choose Apple () menu > Software Update – If prompted, enter an admin name and password.
The App Store opens and displays any software updates available for OS X and Mac App Store apps. OS X updates will be at the top of the list. Note: Opening the App Store by clicking its Dock icon will only show Mac App Store app updates.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Cheers,
    Sterling

  • Tried repeatedly to download the ios6 on my iPad 3 and keep getting error. message.  How do I take care of this?  Said I could do it through iTunes but don't know if I have the last updated iTunes either, how can you tell?

I have made numerous attempt to download the ios6 on my iPad 3 and it starts but then stops and gives me an error message.  Someone suggested that it could be done on my main computer in iTunes but that has to be updated and I don't know how to tell if mine has been updated or not.  How do I get this installed?  Anyone please help?

We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it.  Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers.  See what I mean?  I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not.
You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

  • My Monitor has lost it's identity - How can I tell?

*How can I get my computer to recognize my Apple monitor? The monitor does not seem to be telling the computer.*
Today my monitor started to jitter. I restarted the computer and watched the monitor view jitter and then collapse. It soon became a jittery mess.
I removed the monitor and attempted to install a PC monitor that I had available. It plugged in but would not light up. I unplugged it and plugged my Apple Display Monitor back in.
Now it worked, but the width of the active screen is very narrow. I went to the system preferences and attempted to fix the display, but when I did the jitter returned, making my monitor unreadable.
I replugged in the non-working PC monitor and then replugged in my apple monitor to get a view. I have the view but it is a PC narrow view. The computer does not seem to recognize the apple monitor.
How can I get my computer to recognize the Apple monitor? The monitor does not seem to be telling the computer.
    - Thanks in advance for your help.

I found the Apple utility disk utility and used it. I am using an external LaCie disc burner. I clicked the Restore tab and navigated to the software & CD burner. The Restore button was greyed out so I hit the Burn icon instead. It worked.
I restarted with the disc and pressed "C". The disc mounted - success - but it said "this program does not work with this computer." hmmm.
Here's what I downloaded – it looked right?
    693-3994-A.dmg
Apple Hardware Test (Power Mac G4) - Size 11 MB
AHT for Power Mac G4 Version 1.2.6, for use with Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet), Power Mac G4 (Digital Audio), Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver), and Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver 2002), added support for the NVIDIA GeForce2 Ti video card with (Gigabit Ethernet and Digital Audio) systems, Power Mac G4 (QuickSilver 2002ED), and PowerMac G4 (Mirrored Drive Doors).
Here is from my system profile:
Machine Name: Power Mac G4 (AGP graphics)
    Machine Model: PowerMac3,1
    CPU Type: PowerPC G4 (2.9)
    Number Of CPUs: 1
    CPU Speed: 500 MHz
L2 Cache (per CPU): 1 MB
    Memory: 768 MB
    Bus Speed: 100 MHz
    Boot ROM Version: 4.2.8f1
Now which Hardware Software do I download. . .
The next Hardware Software in the list is:
Apple Hardware Test (Power Mac G4 Cube) - Size 18 MB
Apple Hardware Test for Power Mac G4 Cube version 1.1 CD for use with the Power Mac G4 Cube with CD-RW and the original Power Mac G4 Cube.
    Download Now
This does not sound like my computer. I guess I have to try.
    More stuff:
Today I tried a new experiment. I started with the 21" Display monitor connected but turned off. After start up I turned it on. The experiment failed. The monitor came on with the jitter.
I navigated blind to the System Preferences and the Monitor Display interface and hit something – some success – I accidentally lowered my resolution from 1280 x 1024 down to 1024 x 768. The jitter went away but I still have a narrow screen.
When I load the Apple Hardware Test Disk I am now able to do it without the Dead-Dell-monitor-switch.

  • From ARD Client, how can I tell what has been done on my machine?

I am in a workgroup that is managed by ARD. I am not an administrator, but I'd like to get an idea of what has been done on my machine by the admin through ARD. It doesn't have to be too specific or real-time, but I'd like to get some idea. For instance, were there reports run on my application usage? Was there software installed? I'm really just fascinated by automation and software used to increase efficiency. I was thinking there would be a way to monitor incoming and outgoing requests or something, but that might not be the answer in this case. So how can I figure out what ARD admin is doing on my machine?

To answer what was asked in the subject of your question... ARD Client will not tell you anything. It is just the doorway.
There may be logs, but those would not be accessible from a non-admin account.

  • How can you tell what version of Secutity update is installed.

I have osx 10.8.5. Software update says I have security update 2014-001 1.0 available for my Mac. When I try to install, it downloads, says to restart, which I do, and then gives me an error message saying the update can't be installed and to contact apple. This was done several times, with the same result. Did the system accept the update? Why does it continue to say that this update is available?

Click  in the menu bar.
About This Mac > More Info.. > System Report > Software > Installations
Select "Software Name" at the top of the window , the leftmost column.
Security Updates should be listed just below "Safari".
    Best.

I would also like to say thank you for taking your time to answer me and thank you for answers

Connect your iPod touch to your computer and launch iTunes. You'll most likely be prompted to update to the latest version of iOS. If not, click the "update" button. For more information and full details, see the section titled "Update your device using iTunes" in this support article:

  • How can I tell what has already been edited in Ps CC?

When using PS5 the photos that have yet to be edited have a white border, and the ones that have been edited, have a black border.  In PS CC, they are all white.  Is there a setting I can change to correct this?

Note that in comparison to the data above, the unedited image shows identical Created and Modified dates. Even if it had been edited the same day, time difference would reflect editing.to alert you to an edited image
