The characters change depending on the website. I've tried disabling all extensions and plugins, reinstalling firefox and reinstalling java to no avail. The issue seems to be isolated to firefox, chrome is able to display the webpages without a problem. The problem occures following a malware in infection which would redirect goolgle searches in firefox. It was dealt with using Malwarebytes Anti-malware and by removing some entries from C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file.

I tried everything above but to no avail. Windows firewall seemed to be allowing Firefox through without it actually being in the exception list. However, I did remove Firefox but this time removing all profile data too. Reinstalling Firefox seemed to make the websites work. However I then restored my bookmarks, and suddenly the websites stopped functioning again, displaying the random string of characters. Could this be an issue with my bookmarks?

Thanks for your input however, what I don't understand is that some of the product images do appear on the site but not all images? The first 10 product pics appear but then, it's just the product descriptions after that with no images? I find it strange that it used to work on this particular site (mainly Gap and Old Navy) and now it doesn't? I do a lot of online shopping there so it's unfortunate. This is not to say it is impossible for it to cause problems, just that it is prudent to consider all the possibilities before concluding that any one of them is the cause.

Thank you for providing all that information about the iTunes issue you are experiencing. We would first want to rule out any software issues before we can determine if it has to do with RAM. Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Perform a "hard reset" on the device by pressing down and holding the home button and the sleep/wake button for up to 30secs. until you see a black screen with the Apple logo, then release.
Then test to see if it solved the problem.

Have you tried contacting iTunes Support and asking them ? We are fellow users here on these forums, it could be due to a number of reasons, we won't know which one.

Recently, any attempt to log on to any site with my valid userid and password fails with FireFox but passes with Internet Explorer. What could possibly cause this?

I used FireFox a long time for email and other scure sites. Out of the blue my logins started rejecting. In frustration, I went back to Internet Explorer and found I could log in using the same UID and PWD.
I cain't imagine what setting could be causing this to happen. Have you ever heard of such a thing? And is there a solution?

In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
Another possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that,.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox.

My CMYK color codes seem to be off when I print from Illustrator. What could be causing this?

I have been using CMYK codes to print in Illustrator. For some reason, the colors are now printing very dark and a bit off - (ex: Royal blue 100.51.0.0 is printing almost like a violet. It's dark and kind of purple.) I'm printing on a Xerox Phaser 6500 and spoke to their support to make sure that the settings were correct. What should the settings be to ensure that I haven't changed something accidentally or caused this problem?

Are you using a RIP with that Phaser? Or, are you using the Phaser driver? Have you done any Adobe updates recently? What changed since the last time you achieved accurate CMYK prints? What OS are you using? What happens when you print a PDF of the file? Have you tried printing that CMYK combination in other apps? There are a ton of variables that could affect prints. Have you checked the inks? Try running a check on the printer using its utilities.

You do not have enouggh access privileges for this operation. Please check that the connection to the network is active and try again." The network appears to be fine . I can import other songs from his library. The same songs cause me a problem each time I try. My husband had no trouble importing the same songs I have trouble with. I get the same error message if I try to import the same songs from my husbands computer as well. "Command I" appears to show the same protections on both the songs I can import & the ones I cannot. My husband and son are both running OS 10.6, while I am running 10.7. I think I had this problem even before I upgraded, but I am not certain.

My first suggestion is to Repair Disk. Here's how:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu (Panther and earlier) or Utilities menu (Tiger) and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
(Check S.M.A.R.T Status of HDD at the bottom of right panel, and report)
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior

It is most likely permanently bricked. Jailbreaking can do permanent damage.
