When accessing Options to choose extension settings for particular add ons, and a new window for an add on's advanced selections opens, I cannot scroll to the bottom of it, it is cut off.

When I get to the point where I've made my desired selections and want to click to apply them, (or also sometimes just to see the rest of my remaining choices) I cannot because the bottom of the window is cut off. I am not able to resize the window with my pointer as one can with most windows when using programs or websites. It only happens with the pop up windows. Thank you in advance for any help!

I solved my own problem. :-) I simply needed to change the "size" setting in my add-on "Theme Font & Size Changer" to a smaller number. Now the new windows don't require scrolling to see the entire content. But, I suppose for someone with serious vision problems, they might need to do the same thing, but then break out a magnifying glass to read everything in the window.....

The bottom of my .swf image cuts off in firefox and IE, could anyone help?

I've put a .swf image into iweb using the HTML widget. It's supposed to be animated except for in iphone and ipad in which case it will remain static.
I have two problems, firstly, whilst it works fine in safari and chrome, the bottom is cut off in IE and firefox. Secondly, I don't seem to be able to position it quite correctly in terms of vertical alignment on the page or its size. The problem is shown on the home page of the site: www.n2mediation.com (The other pages as yet have a static image).
I realise that this is a known problem. It's my first attempt at iweb and I've never seen HTML in my life before so if anyone could advise in simple terms which elements of the code to change I'd really appreciate the help.

Oh, thank you, I'm sorry, I hadn't understood what to do.
Everything about the animated image is now fixed brilliantly - the size, the alignment, and the bottom isn't cut off. Thank you.
The only thing I don't know what to do about now is how to have the static image load on ipad and iphone (because I understand that .swf files don't work on these devices). Currently the image doesn't load at all, it's blank space. Could you please advise how I should adapt the code to insert the static image if the device isn't flash compatible. Opening pdf in firefox causes the tails of letters to be cut off.

The PDFs open fine in other applications but in Fire Fox it seams to cut of the tails of the letters.
It happens on windows 7. Will get more info soon.

When I view a video clip from the events library it fits in the viewer screen perfectly, i.e., the entire image appears on the screen. After adding the video clip to my project, when I play the video from the project, the edges appear to have been cut-off, i.e., my giraffe has no head. Do I need to resize the original video file? How?

Thanks for the idea. I found a solution to my problem in another discussion between KimsAZmac and AppleMan1958. If you use stabilization the image is made larger so it doesn't fit in the viewer. The solution is to turn off stabilization or use the slider on clip adjustments so the image fits the screen.

This is Linda again. The new iPad actually as not restored on my employees computer. I thought it was working. Message said the device is in recovery mode and can not be restored. An odd workaround: click "Always" in System Preferences/General/Show scroll bars. The scroll bars will always show, but they won't cover your last file.

Prepare Your Mac for Sale
Boot from the OS X Installer Disc One that came with the computer. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. After DU loads select the startup volume from the left side list then click on the Erase tab. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) then click on the Options button. Select the one pass Zero Data option and click on the OK button. Then click on the Erase button.
Note: You can skip the Zero Data option if you are not concerned about removing sensitive personal data from the hard drive. If you choose to skip this part of the process then it is possible for others to recover data from the hard drive. The Zero Data procedure will prevent others from getting access to your personal information.
This process will take 30 minutes to several hours depending upon the size of the hard drive. After formatting has completed quit DU and return to the installer. Now complete the OS X installation. At the completion of the installation do not restart the computer. Instead just shut it off. Slow scrolling with all add-ons and extensions disabled, but OK is safe mode

I have a page for work, with a lot of links, that scrolls very slowly, with a choppy action. It is the same with all add-ons and extensions disabled. But when restarted in safe mode, the scrolling is OK.
What else does the safe mode block? Or what could be the problem.

In Firefox 4 and later Safe mode disables extensions and disables hardware acceleration.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

After upgrading firefox it gets hung up on checking for compatibility add-ons and won't run

I still can't find an answer on any of the support forums and no one helped me when I asked yesterday, is there anyone that may have a clue as what I can do to fix this?
I updated my fire fox on my MAC OS X to 3.6.6 version of firefox, everything went smooth till I open FireFox then the window firefox update opens up and about 1/3 through the process it gets stuck on Checking Compatibility of Add-ons and doesn't go any further. I have hit cancel and firefox opens but it doesn't open any web sites. I have removed firefox and re-installed and it is still doing the same thing. I have also let it run over night thinking it may just take a while and it never progresses, please advise, I am new to MAC but FireFox is the only browser on my mac that will open one of my business pages, known issue with mac for this company.

I have disabled all add ons and extensions to stop adverts but everytime I log into my pc the adverts appear again? not happy :(

since I updated firefox I have been HOUNDED by adverts. I read an article that suggested disabling all add ons and extensions but they seem to enable themselves again after I open my pc! Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
