When apple replaces a phone under warranty for a manufacturing fault, do they give a new phone or a refurb?
Purple spot has appeared on rear facing camera ad video, got an appointment in a couple of days to check it out. Wondered if anyone has had the same issue and whether apple have you a new phone or a refuted phone? As if it was refurbished, how is the phone?
Apple always gives refurbished phones if yours isn't working properly. Refurbished phones are like a new phone but repaired to look like a new one. It has got the same warranty and it's the same model as the one you have

Basically i got my iphone 5 replaced after a sleep wake button problem and they gave me a loaner phone and said i could keep it. I was wondering if that means theres a new warranty on the iphone 5 loaner and if so for how long?
The terms of your original warranty for the phone which was replaced would apply or 90 days, whichever is greater. So, if your original warranty would have expired say tomorrow, your replacement phone would come with a 90 day warranty. If your original phone warranty would not expire until next February, your warranty on the replacement phone would be valid until then.

You would have to send your iphone to someone you know in Canada, then that person would have to get the iphone to Apple.

My iphone 5 power button doesn't always work. I have heard this is an issue and Apple will replace it if under warranty, but I have a broken screen. Will they still replace it?
It is unlikely but you can atleast try they might set it up for free but expect an email about paying 269 for physical damage

The iPhone warranty is not international and as you purchased in
Malaysia the warranty is only valid in Malaysia
You could try taking to an iPhone Authorised service provider
in India but there have been many similar posts to yours

When trying to update apps an invalid apple id show up and I cannot get the apple id to update to the same id, I have restored, restored as a new phone, I have been into the manage I am at wits end after 7 hours on hold and working with techs.
Finally got through to tech support and found someone who seemed to know what was going on, he walked me through and using appleid.applesupport got me to a point where i could get a new password for the apple id that kept showing up.
I think you were on the right trail and I want to say thanks for your help. Much appreciated

If Apple determines that an iPod is not repairable, for example, if it has failed due catastrophic damage or the iPod has been disassembled into multiple pieces, then Out-of-Warranty Service is not available and the iPod will be returned. Does apple fix an ipod under warranty if the inside screen was slightly cracked even though you cant feel the crack because its on the inside.do they fix that????
ONLY Apple could answer this.
If they determine that the ipod is defective, then warranty will cover it.
If they determine that it is damaged, then the warranty will not cover it. -
Since yesterday my iphone 4 has started to freeze intermittently when unlocking. When it happens nothing happens (left it for an hour last night) until I reset the phone, but it's done it 5 times today. Never had this prob before. Any thoughts?
I had the same problem (freezing iphone when trying to unlock) today.
1) I made a backup of my iphone using itunes.
2) Went to my service provider and made a sim swap. So, I think there was a problem with the nano simcard.
Problem solved.
