When are the best times to charge my iPod touch 5G?

I want to know what times to charge my iPod touch 5G would be best for the battery.

There are no best times. Charge it whenever you like.
Charge it from 90% to 100%, charge it from 20% to 30%, charge it for 5 minutes, charge it for 2 days, doesn't matter.

  • When is the best time to charge an iPod for optimal battery?

    What do you think?
I hear if you let it go all the way down and then recharge it meaning full discharge then recharge, it's bad for the battery overall.
Also I hear it's bad to charge it constantly as it would make the battery weaker as well?
So when is the best time to charge it so that the battery stays at optimal performance for a good amount of time? Like 50%, 60% battery?
    Let me hear your opinions.

It really doesn't matter that much when you charge a lithium ion battery. The only significant caveat is, as you've mentioned, don't drain them completely. Other than that, charge it when you need to. I generally put my on charge at night and take it off in the morning. I do the same thing with my cell phones which have the same type of battery. The iPod will stop charging when the battery is full.
    Best of luck.

What is the best way to charge an Ipod Touch 4th generation?

Every night is fine. It is not desirable to let the iPod automatically shut off on low battery.

  • What is the best way to charge my iPod Touch 5G?

So I got my iPod Touch 5th Generation on my birthday, December 29th. I know, and I've heard, that charging the battery fully from start to finish is good about once a month, as in you drain your battery then charge it to 100%. But what if I do that everysingle time I charge? I want my battery to charge the best way possible. Will it over charge it or something, if I always have the battery die, and then charge it completely? Please help! Thanks!

    Still doesn't matter.
You can ask as many ways as you like, but it still doesn't matter.
Charge it any way you like.  Just let it go through at least one full cycle each month.

Whatever you do in terms of charging will not destroy your iPod.
Many people charge when it's convenient. Others just connect the iPod for syncing to the computer and leave it charging overnight, regardless of the ramaining charge level. Life of modern batteries is measured in full charge cycles. A charge cycle is either a full charge or any combination of small charges that adds up to 100% charge.
The only real recommendations I've seen (including from Apple) is to keep the batteries away from heat and have a full charge once a month. For this, discharge the battery to about 20%, then fully charge.

  • What is the best case to protect my Ipod Touch?

I just got an iPod Touch 4 for Christmas and I am wondering what cases are the best for protection?
I have looked into the Otterboxes and although I like them, I don't like that they are so bulky.
Can I get good protection in a smaller/slimmer case or is an Otterbox the way to go?
Is a slilicone/rubber case better than a hard one or vise versa?

Make sure your phone has a screen protector first of all. Hard shell cases are great for keeping your exterior from breaking, but can end up just adding bulk to the back of your phone which offers no protection. Check the box when buying from a store or a description when buying online, and reviews give clear help. Otterbox cases are very well designed and do offer good protection for your device, as I have one for my iPhone. Some silicone cases offer good suspension, which also helps protect your iPhone.

  • When is the best time to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro?

I'm a new college student, and I'm looking to buy a Mac that will last me throughout college, at the best possible price.
I'm completely fine with purchasing a refurbished model, and right now I can get a large (for Apple, anyway) discount on a refurbished MacBook Pro, 13", 500GB, i5, with 4GB RAM. But I'm not sure if this will be able to suit my needs, or if I should opt for something a bit more expensive, even if that means I should wait.
I plan on installing Windows 7, with a 25% partition (I'll use Mac for my own personal things, but Windows for some functions).
I own an iPhone 5 and iPad 3 (WiFi), so I don't plan on taking it with me every day.
I live in Arizona, so the summer heat can be an issue.
I plan on using this MacBook Pro for at least 5 years.
    So, I'd like to know:
Should I buy the AppleCare now, later, or not at all? I want to make sure it's covered in the event of damage or defects:
Should I wait to buy a refurbished model until after the new MacBook Pros are released later this year?
Should I opt for an i7 processor, since I plan on dual-booting with Windows 7? Does it make a noticeable difference, compared to the i5?
Will 500GB be enough space? I feel like it should be more than enough.
Should I wait until the new MacBook Prod are released, or should I take advantage of the college sale that's being offered?
Thank you for taking the time to help me out. :)

That's a perfect computer for your uses, and you won't have any problem. Also, if you need, you can add more RAM (looking at your specs, 16 GB of memory) and a hard drive (HDD or SSD, or even replace the optical drive to put a second HDD). I think it will be useful for 5 years or more.

It's important to buy AppleCare with a portable Mac. Near everything is soldered and repairs are expensive, so it's better to get it. You can get it at any moment during the first year of warranty, but note that accidental damages will void your warranty.

There's no need to wait for new MacBooks Pro, more when we don't know when they will be released. I don't think the refurbished MacBook Pro you want will be cheaper then.

There's a difference between an Intel Core i5 and a i7, but you will only note it if you have special needs, like using heavy apps that require a high CPU load. Most users are not going to use this type of applications. Also, if you need to use this type of apps, the 15-inch MacBook Pro is better.

For most users, 500 GB are enough and you will have hundreds of free GBs. If you don't have enough space, get an external drive. It's recommended to get one at least to make backups of your files.

The college sale will expire soon (the Back to School program), so buy it now

  • When is the best time to change contract?

Hi, I have a normal "feature phone" and I got a Droid from one of my friends.  I don't have any sort of data plan right now, and the Droid requires a data plan, so my question is at what point in the usage cycle is it best to change my contract?  Is there a best time?
    Thanks in advance!

Since the only data plan option is $30 unlimited, it doesn't matter when you activate the droid. You'll be charged approx $1/day for the remainder of your current bill cycle (this is the proration referred to above) and $29.99 for the next billing cycle, on your next bill. Unlimited is unlimited, so you cannot get overage charges regardless of when the feature is activated.

  • When is the best time to buy a macbook pro with retina display?

When/how often are the refreshed or updated?

Since that already happened this year you will need to wait until some time next year at the earliest, although there have been rumors of near end of this year.

  • What is the best working video size for Ipod Touch 4G?

I have tried 960x640 or 720x480 with the aspect set to 3:2 when converting.
But itunes keeps telling me that they dont work on my ipod so I have to convert them again.
Please someone tell me how to put videos on my ipod while keeping the best quality possible.

How are you converting? Presets for Handbrake are available for the iPad and iPhone 4 and should work for the 4G iPod. See:

  • What are the consequenses if I use my iPod Touch 4th generation as hard drive?  Will all my music still be on there if I choose to set it completely to hard-drive or not?

I've noticed that you can partially or completely use an iPod touch 4th gen. as an external disc/hard-drive.  Since I don't want to risk losing all my music, photo's, videos and whatnot, I was wondering if they would still be on there if I were to set the device to it's complete capacity as a hard-drive?  And if so, wether I could acces and alter this content from within finder?

The iPod Touch does not support "disk mode" as other iPods did.  However, as you are already aware, there are other ways to make this possible, but you can try them at your own risk.

  • What are the differences between new and refurbed ipod touch 5th gen.?

I'm about to purchase an ipod touch 5th generation, but I see there are some very nice units available from apple as refurbished. I was wondering what the differences are between the new (purchased today) and the refurbed (released sept. 2012)?

The only difference is that a refurbished iPod has been used before (or at least was sold before) and remanufactured. There are no differences in functionality or cosmetics between a new iPod and a refurbished unit of the same model and capacity.
    Regards.

And here is a video that someone else did walking through some of the features on a 2nd gen:
