Hello Samuel,
Workflows are build in ABAP engine when you implement your Integration Scenario. So with each Int. Szen. saved in Int. Repository you will get your ABAP workflow in the ABAP stack.
When starting the Integration scenario the workflow history/log in ABAP stack is filled with the first step within your Integration Scenario which is placed after your Start step and using an internal workflow process step.
So you won´t find here explicitly documented send and receive steps in the workflow log (SXMB_MONI_BPE) but transform steps, decision steps etc.... .
Send and receive steps are displayed in SXMB_MONI connected to PI partner (process engine).
So when starting with using BPM it is a little bit confusing to understand how to read both logs and put their information together.

Missing sender information in message from Integration Process

Hi All,
I am testing a scenario uses Integration Process. This Integration process sends out a async message but this message has empty sender tag in header , Because of this routing rules and agreements defined for this are not triggered and message goes into error state.
There is sender interface Information in message header but not integration process information. I am working on SAP NetWeaver PI 7.1 system. This is working from other synchronous interface in same process.
Routing rule and receiver agreement has sender as mandatory field, so can not define generic set without sender component.
I went through SAP Note 807640 But there is no information about such error.
Am I missing something in configuration? Please let me know how can i configure Routing Rule and Interface Determination for this scenario.

Integration process is used as a async-sync bridge. Following are high level steps.
1. Receive async FI message from sender
2. Map message to BAPI SAP FI document
3. call Sync BAPI.
4. Map the response of BAPI.
5. Post it back to sender in async mode.
I am having problem in step 5 where message is coming out of BPE without its own name (i.e sender name). Thus it does not triggers Routing rules and fails.

Updating Config Changes from integration process

I've constructed a ccBPM integration process
then put together the config in the integration directory
If I then go back and make further changes to the ccBPM, the changes are not reflected in the Integration directory.
How do I update the Integration directory with changes from the integration process, without creating a new integration process in configuration after every change?
We are currently running PI 7.1

Sending Email from Integration Process

I have an Integration Process created which looks at outbound messages and sends information to my alert inbox under certain conditions. Is it possible to take the text I am sending to the Alert Inbox and have this email me also, or does this process need to generate a new message which is routed through the email adapter?

Then Configure a Mail receiver adapter with the SMTP/IMAP address of your mail server and user authentcation and provide the recipient name in the TO address.
Check the HOW TO guides for MAIL adapter in Service market place for configuration details.
Best practice is to have a standard mail box configured on ur the Mail server to manage all sent mails.
oops missed out the stuff on CCBPM, Just add...a send step pointing to Mail service after the exception is trapped and Alert raised.

PDFs are not generated from Burst

This is my bursting delivery query below (which took me a loooong time to figure out!). I am bursting to the file system on the OBIEE server. Funnily enough when i change the output format to RTF, then the bursting works perfectly, but if i change it to PDF, i get this error. I have looked and looked for a reason as to why this happens but i have no idea. I can see in the job history that the data is split correctly and i can see that it generates the documents (they are shown when i click on Republish). Please if anyone has any idea, please reply - i desperately want to get this working, and i have no idea why it doesnt work.
I have checked the logs and it seems that everything generates correctly, and when i open the .out files produced in AdobeReader everything opens successfully and the document has the correct information. It is also not related to permissions on the folder specified in the bursting query -> if i use the runReport webservice for the same report and specify C:\Temp as the output path ( and pdf as the attributeFormat), the file is written out correctly. It seems that the problem is with writing out more than one pdf file, but why???????? Not sure if it has anything to do with the scheduler at all ( i run the report by using the RunNow option in the scheduler)?

Communication error when sending PI message from Integration Engine to AE

Hi Experts,
we currently installed and configured PI 7.3 system. Even I run post installation PI configuration several times, we are still facing error when Integration engine sends message to messaging system. ( my scenario: I send test message to IE directly, avoiding AE )...
It might look easy: but even adding PIISUSER full authorization and system restart, the result is the same. I don't know if it could have connection but I also get HTTP 200 instead of HTTP 500 when testing INTEGRATION_DIRECTORY_HMI destination.

So this password change in Exchange Profile + su01 transaction + system restart didn't help.
I increase trace level, and this is even more detailed log in pipeline step Call Adapter.
We also find out that when message arrive to IE we have in java log three entries:

what i noticed here is in Oracle BPM Studio there is weblogic jar file which contains Kernel status file. The KernelStatus file do not have "isThinIIOPClient method". But in wlclient jar file there is Kernel status class which contains "isThinIIOPClient" method.
How can I override the weblogic.jar and wlclient.jar for Oracle BPM?
Please help me to resolve this problem.

I resolved the above issue by generating ejb2.1 session bean and ejb2.1 client. But When i tried to invoke ejb2.1 session bean from process using Process Business Language, it throws the following exception.

Sending Messages from Integration Processes

Dear All,
I have a problem in that my client wishes to send a message from XI via the Send Step in a BPM to a Proxy call on the target SAP system (ECC 6.0), the only problem is, is that they wish to monitor that all iDocs generated achieved a set percentage success rate < %80, if this is the case then the next message is sent from within the same BPM and so on until all 3 messages are successfully sent. If anyone of the 3 messages fail for whatever reason, the whole process must abort. Does anyone have a suggestion how this might be possible whilst retaining message persistance ?

Startroutine issue when updating transactional DSO from parallel process

I have the following issue.
In a start routine i do some processing of data. In some cases errors missing master data creates a potiential error but does not stop the processing. What i want to achieve is the following.
I have created a transactional DSO where i want to update information about the records where issues is found in processing. I use a standard ABAP modify statement to update the DSO. This works fine when i run the DTP in 1 batch process but i get errors when i run the DTP in parallel. The problem is related to the database locking of the DSO table. I have tried to play around with ENQUEUE but cant get it right.
Any input to get this to work in parallel would be appreciated.

More than 1 line of text when using text generator from file?

have 8 line blocks of text to show onscreen.
would like to use text generatorn>from file
all they seem to print is one line.
is there a work around?
have trhied soft returns and paragraphs on saved text file.
no change.
anyonre know how to get 2 or more lines of text?

Select the File generator layer and in the Inspector, select the Layout pane and in Layout controls, set the Layout Method to Paragraph. Narrow your margins and the text will "flow" into multiple lines.
You can also keyframe the paragraph layout position. [Probably more info than you want here.]
That said, you can only display *one line* at a time per File Generator. (If you're up to date with Motion [v5.1.2], you can use more than one File generator.) The generator does not accept any other characters for returns other than newline and carriage return.
I've never tried it, but thinking about it, you can set Tab stops in the Paragraph layout (double click in the layout rectangle and a ruler should appear over the top -- right click on the ruler to set tabs). If you go back into the original text file and where you need to break lines into two or more, setting a left tab stop in the layout very near the end of a line might force the tabbed text into the next line (did I make that clear enough??)

Open PDFfile being generated from a process ran, directly from a BTN press

Greetings!
Based on some requirements, I designed a process as explained...
User enter some values on the screen, Hit on "SUBMIT & PRINT" a push button. I'm creating a process instance and calling Prcess monitor page then users go thier current isntance gets the output file.
Is there anyway, we could open a window with the actual output PDF file directly after hitting the push button? I dont want to users go throug process monitor screen and etc...
We are on 8.47 Tools. (HRMS).
Can anyone pls give me some hints , if it is possible.

We are thinking the down side of this... in terms of Load on App Server/Process Scheduler Servers.
We are trying to implment this feature for Employee Self Serice to get thier PAY ADVICE. for this we want to use the delivered DDP003.sqr with little customization. We were worried abt once we implment this, there would be atleast 5000 users try to get thier advice in one day especially on the Pay day. We are afraid that would consume whole server resources ultimately may be servers would die.
Do you have any idea to over come this?
Can anyone post some view about Server Load issues?

When are records deleted from PRX_Transaction_Queue

Total WebTools newbie.
I'm getting conversant with PRX_Transaction_Queue. What I don't know is when these records get cleaned out. Can somebody point me to documentation?

This might be similar to a problem we ran into.
Look into turning the cache off in toplink - I think by default its turned on. I don't have my notebook in front me right now so I can't look up the exact setting but I'm sure if you google it you'll find it.
