I have Mac OS X when I downloaded Firefox 3.6 I then attempted to drag the 3.6 icon into the app dock when I received a message stating I did not have sufficient privileges. Help.
If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

From your description it sounds as if you may still have the old http://www.google.com/firefox Firefox start page hosted by Google as your homepage. This old default homepage is no longer used as '''about:home''' has been in use since Firefox 4.0
Either ignore the message, change homepage to '''about:home''', change it to another page or leave blank.

I have version 6.0. I downloaded the latest version. When I move the icon to the applications folder I get a message asking if I wish to replace the older version. When I say yes, I get a message saying I don't have "sufficient privileges for some of the items."

When I try to load the new firefox, I get a message that I do not have certain priveleges.
You keep tempting me with updates. I run 4.0b8. When I try to put it in my application folder, I get the message that I do not have certain privileges.
If you get an error message that you do not have sufficient permissions to update then easiest is to trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

When I try to open some pictures in finder with preview I get a message that I do not have permission to open it. It tells me to go to file - info. Don't know what to do from there.
When you do Get Info for a picture, what does it say in Sharing & Permissions for your username. The Privilege should be "Read & Write"

Next hit your BIO's key and set the cd to boot first, run the scanner and see what it pops up.
If your all clear then create another Admin, transfer your files over from the first Admin.
See if that works, eventually when your totally over to the new Admin, delete the old one.
If you can't create a new Admin, find out who locked your machine down, like your parents or it's a school computer?
Likely installed spyware or "nanyware" to watch you.

I have iCloud for my iPhone, my daughters iphone and 2 of my ipads and have purchased the max amount of storage I can but still get a message saying i don't have enough space to store anymore. Do I need to put each device on their own account?

I have downloaded every update and my battery life is better than any previous iPhone I have ever owned. I see posts from hundreds of people every day, and this is not a commonly reported problem. While there are a few random reports of battery problems, it is no more than I have seen for any other model or any other version of iOS in almost 8 years.
