When attempting to log into Facetime the following message appears "the registering device does not have appropriate credentials"
Hi there
I've been trying to log into my facetime, i put in my apple ID and passward but once i click "sign in" the following message appears "the registering device does not have appropriate credentials".
I have installed all my software updates, made sure my apple ID email is verified, have made sure my date/time/time zone is correct as suggested in other posts but this hasn't worked. I've also tried to delete and re-install facetime but this hasn't worked either.
Please advise me on what i need to do

Please take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the issue is reolved. If there's no resolution after Step 3, post your results.
Step 1
Sign out of iMessage in the Accounts tab of the preferences dialog, then sign back in.
Step 2
Log out of your user account and log back in.
Step 3
Boot in safe mode and test, then reboot as usual and test again.
Note: If FileVault is enabled on some models, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain iMacs. The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin. -
I am not able to loing FaceTime and have tried to get support from apple communities also, but none of those worked out.... Please help me to resolve "The registering device does not have appropriate credentials."

The specific circuit board I was talking about is the "Logic Board" which should have the serial number of your computer embeded electronnicaly. Sometimes the technicians who replace this board do not bother to enter the computer's serial number into it after making the repair/replacement. Probably because they don't think that it is important. The only way you can have this done is to bring it back to the shop where it was repaired, and have them do it. On some Macs you can check the electronic serial number by clicking on the Apple logo on the top left hand corner of the screen, then clicking on "about this mac" then clicking on "more info" button on the window which will appear. If you can't see any serial number, then your replacement board was not serialized. -

Check for the latest updates for your OS, you'll get that error message if you do not have the latest security updates for your operating system.

When I try to log into Facetime or IMessage, system have returned the following error:

Two days ago Facetime was working correct I did not change my Apple ID or my password since them. Operating system is Mountain Lion update running on my MacBook Pro.
I do not know if could be a reason for this issue or not but I have updated recently my iPhone and my iPad to iOS 7. But Facetime between these device are working properly, the problem is with the MacBook Pro.
Please, any help to solve this problem will be apreciated.I do have the same thing going on with my MacBook! it's annoying!

I just installed itunes on a Windows 7 PC. When I click on the Itunes icon the following message appears -
The Itunes Library.itl file cannot be found or created. The default location for this file is in the "Itunes" folder in the "Music" folder.
I have checked and there is a file named Library.itl in the "Music" folder. I'm not sure where to go from here so any help would be greatly appreciated.See Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash.

Have the program installed on only one computer.Download the Adobe Licensing Repair Tool.
Run the License Service Update.
Mac OS X 10.7 and above:
a. Double-click the LicenseRecovery111.dmg It will extract the folder. Open the folder.
b. Double-click your Hard Drive.
c. Double-click Applications.
d. Double-click Utilities.
e. Double-click Terminal.
f. Type sudo python
Note: There is a space following “python”. Do not press Return.
g. Drag LicenseRecover.py from the LicenseRecovery111 folder onto the Terminal Window and press Return.
It should look like this:
h. Enter your administrator user name and password when prompted and click OK.
(Note: the cursor will not move and you will not see stars or dots, just enter your password anyway.
i. Let the script run, it will tell you when it is finished. Quit terminal and restart Photoshop

ShakTwas quite a hassle if I am honest which was eventually resolved but I don't feel qualified to help anyone through the process as it required a trip to my local apple store and a genius bar appointment.
Personally, I would do anything like moving pictures out of folders etc. Certainly not creating a new users. i don't think that is an elegant solution
Try the following which MAY just about rescue the situation for you but if they don't work you may have to do something more drastic.
(1) Holding down Cmd & Alt at the same time, start iPhoto by clicking on the iPhoto icon. From the resulting menu choose Rebuild photo library by selecting all available options given to you and then pressing REBUILD!
If that doesn't work
(2) Fire up Utilities. Go to migration assistant. Chose 'From another Time machine back-up'. Open the 'Users' option that comes up next and from there select Pictures, then uncheck everything else like Applications etc (you don't want to do a full migration of everything) and click go.
If that doesn't work, take a deep breath and this step is rather complicated but it worked for me. First of all close iPhoto! Then go to new Finder window.
From the Finder window choose Pictures, then iPhoto library, press CMD and the letter i. It brings up a new window. Go to Sharing & permissions. From there select the padlock to unlock settings. and then select User account, then press the 'cog' icon next to +/- abd choose Apply to enclosed items.
This may take a while. Once completed, re-open iPhoto.
And that should (I stress should) cure it.
