When attempting to preview document multiple tabs begin to open
When working in a billing web site and I try to preview a note before printing or saving new tabs begin opening and I have to close mozilla to get it to stop. This happens with multiple sites.

Since upgrading to Lion. Preview hangs when attempting to print documents....
Will not even open the print dialog window and results in having to use Force Quit to Exit. Anyone experiencing the same? Any ideas?Just notices the other threads actually. Interesting about the Canon print drivers, as I do have UFRII Canon drivers loaded. I have a number of different Printers, including Lexmark, HP Plotters and Canon.
The hang log doesn't come up after the crash. But I think this the Entry in Console relating to the last time it went down:

when i close window with multiple tabs and start new session (open new window) old tabs open again, how can i stop it?
It is possible that there is a problem with the files [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
Delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/sessionstore.js sessionstore.js] and sessionstore.bak in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder]
* Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

I have adobe illustrator CS5. When I save a document as a pdf and open it again later to edit Adobe reader can't read the whole document because it only shows part of the document. It is very frustrating. How can I fix this?

Illustrator support for networks and removable media -
I regularly use 2 windows with multiple tabs each and session restore would work to get them all back, but after this latest update the second window does not restore properly, with the first tab not visible on top(only in drop down menu) and the add a tab button now on the left(instead of right). The add a tab button is not really concerning other than it indicates other problems with the tabs on tab of the 2nd window. Not having the 1st tab visible is frustrating, because I can not move it or as easily navigate. Also, the tabs on top of the 2nd window that are visible no longer have the "x" to close visible unless that tab is selected. I'm assuming this is a problem with the new release/update, since this is the first time I've ever encountered the problem, and I've shut down and restored Firefox a few times to make sure this was a recurring problem and not a one-time deal. Any ideas on how to fix would be welcome(other than perhaps cramming my tabs onto one window or sucking it up XD).

I recently updated Firefox on my desktop and laptop. Before, when i closed Firefox, a window would open and ask me if i wanted to return to the same group of URL location tabs the next time i opened Firefox.
Now it doesn't ask that, so i have to remember which sites i was using each time. This is to create a new topic with regards to Safari, but with many windows and/or tabs open.
Some have posted information in the previous topic, i.e.: safari slow - has anyone talked to someone at Apple?
This post will be specifically about hangs and ball spinning cursors when many windows are being used simultaneously within Safari.

System Prefences-->General-->Untick the box which says 'Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps' (A couple of lines from the bottom)
And then most importantly restart the mac. It was this last step I never did and thats why I couldn't get it to stop this unwanted behaviour. -
Firefox 4 hangs when attempting to view the Applications tab in Preferences
Firefox 4 under MacOS X 10.6.6 hangs when I click to select the "Applications" tab on the Preferences dialog. It never paints the pane. When this happens, it consumes 60% CPU. Running dtruss against the running process shows a little activity, but not much.
I have tried deleting mimeTypes.rdf. It recreated a new, smaller one, but it made no difference to the problem. I have let Firefox continue to run for up to 10 minutes, with no change in responsiveness. I am forced to kill it every time. It is 100% reproducible on my system.I just discovered that if I disable the Quicktime plugin (7.6.6), this problem goes away.

I am trying to purchase new music. When I go to preview a song to ensure that I want to purchase it, I click on the song icon to preview and it flips around to start playing the preview and then immediately turns back again without ever playing a preview...Is this a constant iTunes issue or is there a way to fix it?

Daveit is possible its a small glitch i would recommend trying it a few times with difrent songs and if that doesn't work its most likely a small glitch

I can't reestablish the warning for when I try to close multiple tabs
I accidentaly clicked the "Don't warn me again message" of the warning I get when I (cmd +d) close Firefox, and I can't find anywhere how to reestablish that warning, I really need this; I use Mac and Firefox 3.6.3
You can reset the ''warn'' prefs on the '''about:config''' page via the right-click context menu.

Acrobat 11.0.07 will randomly crash when attempting to add document number to bottom of document.
The application randomly crashes when I try to add a document number to the bottom of a pdf document that was scanned on another machine. It is inconsistent but my only work around right now is to try and get the document number on the first page, then save the file to the new file name. Then I close the document, and reopen it to try and get the document number on the remaining pages of the document. About 50% of the time Acrobat will still crash when I am doing this. It has gone from being a 30 second process to a 5 minute process.

I have created a test document consisting of 2 simple pages. It originated as a word document with a jpg and a word table on the first page, and text and an Excel table on the second page.
It converted to pdf fine initially. Then on saving the first line of text box added, Acrobat crashed. It did save the information however. I opened it back up, and went to add the second line of text in the same text box on the first page and again it crashed, but before I could hit the save button. After that all additional text added in text box on page one, and additional of another text box on page two had no problems. The file is attached.
I am concerned that there is some setting I am missing to be able to read files from older versions of Acrobat, but that gets less likely as I open pdf files from 3 years ago and they appear to be fine. We are using Acrobat 9, 10, and now my 11 here. I am of the assumption that I should not be having any problems reading any of these.

I really need help with this cause when im using firefox 3.6 , usually when i want to close the window , they will ask me whether i want to save the tabs or close or cancel.. but im having difficulties with firefox4.

really need help for this.Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.

Why do I end up with multiple sessions/instances when I just want a new tab to be opened?
Each time I click on a link in an email or in a browser page I am getting another instance of FF opening instead of opening a new tab in the same-single instance. I can have many, many instances opens all with the a single tab of each clicked through link. It's very confusing to find the pages I want with so many open instances.

Any idea why no audio with an older Canon DVCam when attempting to preview?
I've got a brand new macbook pro with imovie '08 and I've got a Canon ZR40 (older model) DVCam connected via the 4pin to 6pin firewire cable through an iomega firewire 400 hub then 6pin to 9pin firewire cable to the mac. I get video perfectly I get control fine but no audio. I checked to make sure the inputs and outputs are properly designated but I feel like there may be a timeline mute button or something I'm missing. New to mac please advise.

Just bought a new i5 laptop and am transferring files, etc onto new box. Last night I had two separate Firefox windows up. I downloaded Nexus Ultimate late and rebooted this morning. I had to restart Firefox then, and it did not save my settings/tabs as I prompted it to do when it shut down to reboot.
I uninstalled Nexus and wasted many hours trying to resolve this, including two failed system restores (looks like Nexus is a dirty little bugger) Windows Explorer will open up multiple windows. Firefox will not. Help.Have you tried: click Firefox button > New Tab > New Window '''''OR''''' CTRL+N '''''OR''''' File > New Window (if using the Menu Bar)
Once open, Firefox locks the Profile that is in use and you can not open another window with that Firefox version and Profile combination using the Windows Desktop icon or the Windows Programs list.
