When Booting It wont see My HD? HELP!
Im building my new computer and when i try to boot from my hard drive it doest see it. It keeps booting from the cd. window xp setup sees the harddrive and copies files . After it reboots and has copied the files it wont see the hard drive and starts all over again. PLZ help im going crazy!!!
Make sure after you install Windows you go into the BIOS and change the boot order so your HDD is first on the list.
(Oh, and after Windows is installed, you can take the disc out of the drive!)

Erased Airport Extreme! Utility wont see it! HELP!

KimSeems like I have the same connection problem with my Airport Express. When I hit Rescan, it can't even detect an apple device.
It worked fine during my initial installation, but I screwed everything up by accidentally hitting the 'restart apple device' option when it popped up. -
IPod wont work after update! iTunes wont see it! Help???!!!

After updating the updater my iPod is no longer recognised by itunes. When i plug my ipod in it says do not disconnect and is recognised by the computer, but not itunes. The updater window comes up saying i need to update but it will only give me the option to restore. I have done this. I have tried resetting also, but this doesn't work. I have uninstalled the updater, and reinstalled it. The problem persists. It comes up with an error when i do have the option to update. Now my ipod, when turned on, display the little apple sign, and then the folder with the exclamation, and shortly turns itself off. It has no songs on it now. I've only had it about 8 months so it should still be covered under the warranty, but ideally i would like to solve this problem without sending it off.
Did you work out how to sort out yours? Or can anyone help me with mine!

What is the error message you refer to when you tried to update it.
If you've seen this and it doesn't help then it may need service.

There is something you can try. If your iPod is recognized in 'my computer' you can try formatting the iPod through Windows, then you would need to reformat it using the iPod updater. This proceedure isn't normal, but can be used in extreme troubleshooting circumstances. -
When booting up on PowerMac G4
Hi, all i have a PowerMac G4 that every time that I start up normally it gives me the blue background that would be at login and that is all the further it goes. I have tried to boot off of a OSX 10.4 install disk and it goes as far as the blue background screen and that is it. It does the same when booting off of disk warrior any help!!!!!!
I have also tried to boot into single user mood and nothing. I have even gone as far as trying to boot of off a leopard install disk and the same thing happens. I have tried resetting the CURU on the mother board and no result. I have tried replacing the batter on the mother board and no result. I have also reset the PRAM and the VRRAM. I have run out of ideas here I don't know what else there is to try.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
iOS: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

When i plug my ipod in, it shows up on desktop as a hard drive, but wont show up on itunes. All my music/videos everything has been wiped off somehow, restored it and still wont work! Please help!

A 2003 iMac cannot support Snow Leopard 10.6; you'd need an Intel processor and that cannot be retrofitted to your Mac. What does "About this Mac" in your Apple menu say for your processor speed? What does it say about how much RAM you have?
If the processor is 1ghz or faster, you can run OS 10.5; otherwise, you are maxed out at 10.4.11.
Also, are you running any commercial ("pay for") anti-virus or security software? They are notorious for slowing most Macs to a fraction of their speed potential.
A too-full hard drive can drag down performance, especially if you don't have a lot of physical RAM installed. If you single-click your hard drive icon and then do command i, you'll see the disk usage. Looks like this:
The value for "Used" should be no more than about 90 percent of "Capacity." In the example image, that drive has about 34 percent of its space used and 66 percent free--more than enough. Please post what you see for your Capacity and Used numbers
There are a few more things we might check but this is a good start.

Stuck on blank blue screen when booting- HELP!
When I boot up up I get the normal grey screening with spinning pin wheel, but then it goes to a blank blue screen and just hangs there. Tried resetting the PRAM but didn't work, also want to boot from the install cd but I can't the cd drive door to open from the keyboard button.
Help please!Hold the mouse down during startup to get the drive to open.
Or use the OPTION key to stop at boot selector and do it then.
I would make sure to have a working bootable backup of your drive at all times, and an emergency boot drive/partition.
What might help:
Boot from another drive. Turn off journaling. Repair drive.
Once at Finder desktop, delete the caches folders on your main drive.
/Library/Caches
/System/Library/Caches
/System/Library/Extensions.mkext
If the repair was "successful" and DU is not 100% certain to see and fix all possible errors, for that Disk Warrior or TTPro would be needed.
At the least, repair from current DVD of OS X, or SAFE BOOT, or Single User Mode and run FSCK.
Then do Safe Boot from your main drive.
But do install OS X to another drive to work from.
PRAM only affects settings. If you mean PRAM/NVRAM from cold boot, that would help with corrupt nvram due to hardware changes.
If you have or suspect a corrupt boot drive I would invest in Disk Warrior and/or TechTool Pro/Deluxe to use along with Apple Disk Utility. -
I partitioned my MacBook Pro and installed Windows 8 in it.....now I can't find my partition when I pressed option key when booting up.....so how can I do to find the partition to boot...I can see it in the disk manager in Mac....any ideas? thanks..!..

install, reboot twice and choose the Windows-Partition on next startup.
(The apple-bootloader doesn't display all bootable harddisks.
With rEFIt you can boot from all partitions/harddisks on your computer.)

Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone. If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts). To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account. Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device. Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.

iPod touch second generation. Trying to sync to mac. Have updated itunes and snow leopard. When I plug it in, it is recognized in iphoto, not itunes. ipod is freezing. Have tried several times to set back to factory settings, but computer wont see it

Yes...at least I thought it was....I have 10.6.8.
That's the whole issue. I want to run/install photoshop elements but I have to have 10.8. for that. So...be fore I install an upgrade (Yosemite is getting BAD press) I thought I'd check my back up...it's not there...I have the seagate plugged in and the usb into the back of the mac...when I try to turn the time machine "ON" it says airport device not found not ....
