When browsing the web or using an app, a faint image of the screen stays on for a while, is this normal ?

I am only probably on the screen for less than 5 minutes, yet when I goto the home screen, or play a movie for example, I can still see the previous image from what I was using before in the background, any help....thanks in advance.

I havn't noticed that on my first gen iPad, when I go back to my homescreen via the home button I just see my homescreen not any after-image. Try closing all your open/recently used apps completely and see if it still happens after you re-open them : from the home screen (i.e.not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close them, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

If you are referring to the Free Selection tab in the F110, I can tell you how we use it..
We have payment runs that are seperate from the normal run. By using the Assignment field which has been populated with some unique information such as a reference number, we can use the free selection tab and enter the field name "Assignment" and then key the value that should appear in that field if we just want a payment run to include "only" the items with the value we keyed in that field when setting up the payment run. So if we had the number 0001112 in the Assignment field of certain vendor invoices and we only want to pay those, we select the field name Assignment on the free selection tab and key the value 0001112.

If all of your credentials are correct, Server Name/IP Address, Username, Password, Root Directory and it's still not connecting, I would try toggling the Passive FTP checkbox.
If you still can't connect in DW, try downloading a third party FTP program like Filezilla (free) and uploading there. If the third party app doesn't work either, there is likely a problem with your credentials and you would need to contact your hosting provider to straighten it out.

I'm trying to take a 16 minute mini dv video and compress it for use on the web. I'm interested in any suggestions you may have on settings for the video and audio tracks. I've tried using Sorenson 3 (15 frames, key frames set to automatic, 320 x 240) for video and IMA 4:1 (mono) for audio. The resulting video looked great but the file size came in at about 255 Mb.

Thank you for the replies. Everyone was correct about the jack, interface, and phasing problems. I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work. I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic. When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones. This actually helped. I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems. I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac. I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio.

Yes, they are registered for iMessage and IOS 5.0.1 update. A few days ago (10-12 days) the group messaging was working fine, but now the messages are being delivered to the email inox instead of iMessage app.

I am using latest version of iOS (5.0.1) and iPhone 4.
My question is stated in the title. I wish to sync iTunes according to my current iPhone settings (i.e. backup my current settings from my iPhone to iTunes), not reinstall apps which I have already deleted.
But when I "sync" my iphone with iTunes, apps which I deleted since the previous backup suddenly appeared in my iPhone.

When you sync your phone check the Apps tab in your iTunes sync settings (not the Apps folder under Library on the left sidebar) and confirm that the apps you don't want on your phone are unchecked prior to syncing.

Many web pages uses a table system and when you copy you get the table too. Pages 09 retains the table. PAges 08 don't.
Tryy this: When you have pasted into a Pages document select some text and then hit Cmd + A to select all text. Paste into a new blank document. Tha tshould help.

A simple way is to flatten the form fields, which converts the field appearances to regular page contents. You can do this with JavaScript or PDF Optimizer (Advanced > PDF Optimizer > Discard Objects > Flatten form fields). The Dimensions and size of the problem movie are 1920X1080 and 584 MB respectively, while the movies that play better have Dimensions of 853X480 and are about 1.3 GB in size. Is this the source of my problem and how do I change things for the better.

Are you exporting to QuickTime Movie, or to QuickTime Conversion? For iDVD, you need to export to QuickTime Movie. Exporting to QT Conversion will kill the quality if you are moving the video from FCE to iDVD.
The file size per se makes no difference.
What size (pixel dimensions) are the photos that you put into your 1920x1080 sequence? Also, exactly what are the sequence properties ... is it 1920x1080i60 ... or i50? In North America it should be i60.
853X480 is an odd frame size. Where are you seeing this number? It would appear to be DV-NTSC, which has a frame size of 720x480. Your 1920x1080 frame size would not be DV-NTSC, it would be Apple Intermediate Codec. DV and AIC will look different, for sure.
Also, your quality setting in iDVD can affect the final video. You may want to check that also (in iDVD Preferences > Projects). Set it to Professional Quality if at all possible.

Sounds like your iPhones software may be corrupt. Try placing the iPhone into recovery mode. To do this, follow the steps in this article:
