What order?
Most likely it's the order on the Disk, not the Name, or other way shown.
In Column View>View>View Options, here's the same folder shown Sort by 2 different ways...

Whenever I burn pictures to a disc for some reason they duplicate. There will be two, three, four and sometimes even five copies of each picture or folder of pictures. What can I do to prevent this from happening. I would like to burn only one copy of each picture on the disc.

How are you burning these images to your disc? Are you creating a burn folder? See this Apple Support Article. The instructions for OS X Mountain Lion are the same as the ones for OS X Mavericks.

This FAQ should describe the issue - you need to be using Adobe Reader (free) or Adobe Acrobat to fill out the PDF, Preview on the Mac breaks the PDF so it is no longer usable: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2653

Why won't itunes burn second disc

everytime i try to burn a playlist that requires multiple discs itunes burns the first one but when i insert second disc it ejects the disc again and asks for a blank disc i have tried different makes of disc and tried different drives and the same keeps happening

I found a work-around. May not work for everyone but it did work for me. My wife has her itunes on another computer on our home network. We do sharing of our itunes libraries. It is an older computer using Windows XP and she hasn't updated her itunes for a while. On a hunch, I shared my copy of the audiobook with her itunes library. I then tried burning her copy to CD's and it worked fine. Actually, it also updated the number of burn copies available. When I was having problems on my Mac - each time I had an unsuccessful attempt it will take one more of the available burn copies. "You have burned 4 copies of 7 available. You have burned 5 copies of 7 available, etc."
When I burned the copy from my wife's computer, it said, "You have burned 1 copy of 7 available."
I know this solution won't work for everyone, but it did work for me. Good luck. - SS

My music library includes a number of repeat album artwork images simply because not all tracks are being listed under the one album making my library more difficult to use than it should. Why won't finder burn a 25GB BD disc?

I bought some blank BDs to archive some projects and clear some space but Finder won't burn them.
They are 6x / 25GB inkjet printable discs. As you can see from the Inspector, I'm only trying to burn 14.35GB so it should fit easily.
What's up with that?

Why won't Encore burn a bluray disc?

I successfully burned my Pr5 project to dvd. To burn a bluray, I did file>export media. Set the file= mpeg2 bluray. preset= match attributes,quality 4 . I Checked " render max bit depth and max render quality" and exported. Then I opened encore, established a new project, and imported the sound file as an "asset" and the movie file as a "timeline. . Then dragged the sound file to the timeline. In project settings, I set bit rate to 30because the original was 50. I start the build and the graph shows its transcoding and writing data. when the data graph goes to 100% an error message says" device not ready,code 3, as_storage error= 97060". Total data is 16.5 gigs. I tried 3 separate Verbatim BD-R type LTH discs and got the same result. It's a new LG bluray burner.
1. Is the disc not being recognized?
2. By the way, why does the Encore project setting default to a screen dimension of 1440x1080 even thou the origiinal footage is 1920x1080?

Why won't iDVD burn my .avi files... it used to?

i have files ending in .avi that i want to burn to a DVD, in order to watch them on television.
i throw them into the iDVD and the preview shows nothing but a blank screen.
iDVD used to burn my .avi files.
i have converted them to .mp4 / .mpg / .mov... but nothing seems to work.
sometimes, throwing a .mp4 file into iDVD nothing happens at all, or it will say unsupported / unrecognized file.
the only time it did work was when i used a program to convert a file to .mp4, but now it has a huge watermark across the picture.
why all of a sudden does it not work?

Why won't iTunes burn songs to CD - error: too many songs (even4) for 1 CD?

I am a huge music lover. Having compiled over 4,000 songs in my library, it is very frustrating and disheartening to be limited to my iPod or my computer to enjoy my library.
I keep getting the message that my burn list is too large and do I want to record over multiple CD's. If I choose no, I reject my burn request. If I choose yes, nothing happens. Went to trouble shooting. Did everything I could except find and update the firmware "versions", including re-installing the latest version of iTunes and updating my Windows Service Packs. Still same message as before.
When I tried to modify my preferences, it allowed me to make all the selections, but then would not accept them. Instead I got the message: "An error occurred while udating the default player for audio file types. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation." What is this about, I am the sole owner and operator of this computer - who else would have enough access privileges to anything on it?

Why Won't PreE Burn my Slide Show Project to a DVD?

I created a slide show using PE 6 and sent it to PreE 4. However, when I try to burn it to a DVD using PreE 4 it just quits on me? Then I can't even open PreE?? I really don't know what's happening?? My complete slide show is saved in PreE 4 and I can find it at adobe\Premiere Elements\4.0\ project name. However, when I try to open it nothing happens. I thought perhaps my slide show was too big for PreE but that doesn't appear to be the problem. My saved PreE 4 slideshow is 8.29 MB and PE 6 slideshow gives a play time of 56:43 Min after creation.
A standard DVD is at 120 minutes and 4.7 GB
Can anyone tell me what the devils happening here or at least give me some direction to solve this dilemna.

The slideshow created in Photoshop Elements Slideshow Editor exists there as a creation and goes no where until you output it to something else. If your goal is a DVD-VIDEO version of your slideshow and you want to use Premiere Elements to generate the DVD-VIDEO, before Photoshop Elements 5/Premiere Elements 3, you had to output your slideshow as a file sized .wmv video and import that into Premiere Elements. The use of the .wmv limited the possibilities for further edits of the slideshow that arrived on the Premiere Elements Timeline as one whole video rather than individual photos. Further, there were those that questioned the use of the .wmv version for quality reasons. I never found that to be the case.
But, if you have the specific combinations of Photoshop Elements 5/Premiere Elements 3 OR Photoshop Elements 6/Premiere Elements 4 OR Photoshop Elements 7/Premiere Elements 7, you obtain the perk of being able to send your Photoshop Elements slideshow to Premiere Elements in a non wmv form which can be broken apart allowing for further significant edits. The keys to doing this are:
a. Specific sets 5/3 or 6/4 or 7/7
b. Use of the Photoshop Elements Slideshow Editor Output option of “Send to Premiere Elements” which then makes available the “Break Apart Photoshop Elements Slideshow” command in Premiere Elements (right click video on Timeline, select “Break Apart Photoshop Elements Slideshow”). If you had some mismatch of Photoshop Elements Premiere Elements versions, like 6/7, the Photoshop Elements Output option of “ Send to Premiere Elements” would be available, but once the slideshow got to Premiere Elements, the “Break Apart Photoshop Elements Slideshow” would not.
Immediately after the output is completed in the Media panel you will see:
a. Folder containing the individual photo and video assets
b. A file representing the intact slideshow in video form
On the Timeline you will see your intact slideshow video form.
The Time Stretch Tool is used to change duration. You can use:
a. (less precise) The Time Stretch Tool Icon above the Timeline. Click that, watch your mouse cursor turn into a vertical bar with a cross (diagonal arrow and red bar) superimposed, then click on drag end of image.
b. (more precise). The Time Stretch feature via right clicking the image on the Timeline, selecting Time Stretch, and typing in the duration.
c. in either case, any gaps created on the Timeline are gotten rid of by right clicking the gap and clicking on the “Delete and Close Gap” pop up.
When you go to decrease the duration or when you are changing the duration of an image at the end of the Timeline, everything will be going as you expected. HOWEVER, when it comes to increasing the duration or changing the duration of an image in the middle of the Timeline, you will need to move the images to make room for the expansion and then close the gaps.
Before I go on to some other things, I should go back to the Media panel and its contents immediately after receiving the Photoshop Elements Slideshow. You can open the folder with assets (photos & videos) in the Project Media View. If you right click one of the files, select Time Stretch, change the duration of the image, the duration of that file will be changed and be reflected if you drag that file from Project View Media area to the Timeline. BUT, this will not change the duration of that image which is already on the Timeline.
There are so many other aspects of this that I will save for another time. One of the things that we could talk about is creating slideshow and the DVD-VIDEO slideshow all within Premiere Elements and bring into play:
Premiere Elements’ Create Slideshow feature to set image duration OR transition duration all at one time
Changing the Premiere Elements default duration (5 sec) via Edit Menu/Preferences/General
Pans & Zooms with Edit Menu/Effects/Presets/Horizontal and Vertical Pans or Zooms as well as creating Pans & Zooms with keyframing.
I am probably running into the Flash Player and Premiere Pro Forum space by now. Please focus me in on your specific issues and I will continue with my what works for me comments.

When I download free apps they work but then when I turn my iPad off and come to use the free apps again they don't open unless I download another app how can I get them to always work?

Download and install a free (or paid) app that isn't already installed on your device to reset this information. Why you are continuing to see this behavior, I can't explain. Try signing out of your ID, restart the iPad and sign in again.
Sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>Store>Sign in

Why won't songs burn to cd. computer not authorized

The computer has been authorized and is the administrater but, when I try to burn a cd, it deletes half of the songs and tells me the computer is not authorized. I never had this problem before updating iTunes.
