When can we expect a Java update??

Tiger's version of Java, 1.5.0_06, is extremely outdated. Sun has published the 1.5.0_12 standard release (so Apple is 6 versions behind), and this is not even to mention the fact that Apple still hasn't released Java 1.6 in any public form. What is going on here? I am getting worried that Apple is abandoning support for Java (which is extremely important to me, and to countless others). If anyone has information on when we can expect the latest version of 1.5 and 1.6 to be ported to Tiger, please let us know.

  • When can we expect a fix?

I don't know about everyone else, but this darned TIFF exploit that is allowing people to "jailbreak" their phones seems like a glaring security hole to me that could be used for malicious purposes rather easily.
When can we expect a new update that fixes this problem?

    (wry smile)
    What, haven't you heard yet?
After being told for months that Safari was the only SDK, iPhone Web 2.0 apps are OUT.
Now, just after trying to brick any phones with them, native apps are going to be IN.
Therefore, please stop using the web. Actually, don't use anything not on your Home page until there's an Apple certificate on it. You wouldn't want to accidentally bring down ATT service over the entire west coast, would you?

  • When can we expect an update?

When can we expect an update for some of the major issues with audition 4? Specifically the mp4 file issues?
I need to know if I should go ahead and install v3 if it's going to be more than a month.

I assume this is in response to the conversation happening here:
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/846447?tstart=0
The bugs reported in this thread revolve mostly around support for .mp4 file import. To be clear, Audition CS5.5 does not natively support this format.
We are making use of Quicktime in many ways to allow us to import a larger number of formats than we were able to implement ourselves for this first cross-platform release.
It was also mentioned that since Quicktime supports these files at the correct sample rate on import, Audition should as well. While this makes perfect sense and we should be able to find a way around it, just because Quicktime supports a larger number of formats doesn't mean they allow all applications that make use of Quicktime to access all formats (see MPEG 1 Layer 2 support as an example). We are currently looking into what we can do to get around it.
For now, the workaround for files that have this problem would be to use the Edit > Interpret Sample Rate to correct the problem within Audition.
We will be looking to improve this further in future versions.
    Thanks,

  • When can we expect an upgrade to be able to treat RAW files from Nikon D750?

Bridge is not yet able to read RAW files from Nikon D750. Aperture can now do it. When can we expect Adobe to publish an upgrade?

You are not addressing Adobe here in the user forums.  I most certainly do not work or speak for Adobe.
This I can tell you: Adobe has a long standing policy of not commenting on unreleased software.
Adobe Camera Raw is updated in an orderly fashion every three to four months.  No other factor leads to an accelerated or early release.

  • When Can We Expect 4.2??

I feel as though we have been waiting for quite some time on this, and with the announcement this morning not being related to the iPad in anyway (though kudos on the Beatles pick up, apple) I am just wondering how soon we can really except to see a true version of the update released by apple.
Can anyone shed a light on this?

    When Can We Expect 4.2??.
Probably very shortly after it has been announced it is released.

My book package validated, and delivered, but after several days, I have not been notified that Apple has it, or that it is in the iBooks store. When can I expect to hear something?

Did you check in iTunes Producer if your package really imported correctly?
While in iTunes Producer, you go to "File" and then click on "Package History", it will fetch the status on the Apple system on-line.
I have the same problem since I have been trying to update my previsously published book, I keep getting import error messages. I tried omitting the version number and "whats new in this version" but nothing seems to work... Sent emails to Apple through the iTunes producer tool but to no avail - so far.

  • So when can we expect official X-Fi CMSS and DVD audio drive

After this whole bad PR fiasco over modding drivers. When can we expect OFFICAL drivers from creative that support CMSS stereo surround effects and DVD audio in Vista?
Gi've me a timeframe because I feel like breaking my X-FI card into little pieces, digging it, and youtubing it. Or?I could just return it and get my money back. Haha.

Presumably the X-Fi 2 will bring it's own innovations.
EAX6 and higher quality parts for higher SNR responses, and Vista drivers.
We only have the MS certification that proves it, no tech specs of announcements of any kind yet.
If it really does bring something amazing then fine, but I can't see myself jumping for it. My Audigy has served me well and with Daniel_K drivers I've got as good as I'm going to get.
Onboard sound has come on leaps and bounds so after this card, I doubt I'll get another.
If the X-Fi 2 is based on the X-Fi I wonder how long it'll take for someone to edit them and use them with an X-Fi.
Meanwhile, us Audigians are still left out in the cold.

The store didn't have them in stock?  The local store here has at least 5 of each type on hand.  The web site doesn't show a shipping delay, so if they didn't have it in stock you should have gotten it in within no more than 2 days.  I'd contact the store back and find out the status (and if they had it in stock why didn't they give you one).

  • Just purchased Refurbished R52 video camera when can I expect it to arrive?

Just purchased Refurbished R52 video camera with free FedEx Ground Shiping, when can I expect it to arrive?  I am leaving for LA, CA on Friday and could use the camera over the weekend.

    Hi, shaftca!
As soon as your order is ready to ship, you should receive an Email confirmatiion with a FedEx tracking number.  Enter that code on the FedEx website and you can find out the projected delivery date for your package.
If you haven't received any Email confirmation or are missing a tracking number, please contact our sales department at http://bit.ly/ContactCanon
    We hope this helps!

  • When can consumer expect the price of photoshop to start going down?

WHen can consumer expect the price of photoshop to start going down.i want to buy it, but it is still to expensive for me, i went to Bestbuy and it was still to expensive for me as a an high school students to buy..

(This is the Acrobat forum, not Photoshop, and the people here are unlikely to be able to answer such a question, but...)
As a student you are probably eligible for a student license. Adobe sells many of its products with a significant discount for students and staff of education facilities. You should either ask someone from the IT department of your school about it, or call Adobe directly.

  • When can we expect Elements to support Nikon D750 raw files

When can we expect Elements to support Nikon D750 raw files?   What are my options in the interim.  I noted that some had used a program, EXIFChanger, to edit their D750 raw files,  with a name change,  to Nikon D5300 raw files.  Unfortunately that program runs on a MAC platform only and I have Windows computers.

See that discussion in the Adobe Camera Raw forum:

  • When can we expect a patch for Object Array List Data Provider?

    Hey JSC Team!
When can we expect maybe, just maybe a minor patch for the Object Array List Data Provider loading class problem? Next Month? This Year? Next Year? Near Future? Long in the future? Sometime in the 22nd century?

I think one of the problem is
when u declare the ObjectListDataProvider in ur backing bean
it doesnt appear in the design time straight away
u have to clean build close and re open the project
    which is quite time consuming.

  • Anybody have problems updating from Leopard 10.5.8 to Snow Leopard 10.6.3, or can I expect an easy update?

You shouldn't have too much trouble provided you have a relatively clean system.
You should backup your personal users folders off the machine to a regular storage drive (not TimeMachine) and disconnect.
10.6 upgrade strips out the 10.5 PPC code your not using and offers faster video drivers and some neat features like Exposé and Spaces which is highly productive as you can have 4-16 desktops visible at once and move stuff around between them (10.7 ripped that out)
10.6 is the fastest OS X version Apple has made, 10.5 is universal (more code and older video drivers) and 10.7 is slower than 10.6 in tests on the same hardware.
Your 10.5 install disk should be working, (check it first) stick it in and reboot holding the c key down, you should be able to boot from the disk. Apple isn't offering replacement 10.5 disks anymore so it needs to work in case you want to downgrade from 10.6.
You can learn how to make copies of your 10.5 disk online. I would do so.
You might decide to Carbon Copy Cloner (free/donations) your present 10.5 system to a blank external powered drive, you then can hold the option key and boot from it, erase and reverse clone back to your internal drive if you wish.
10.6 will run all your 10.5 software (some may need a update) as it has Rosetta, a compatibility system for 10.5 code. 10.7 does not, it will not run your present Rosetta/10.5 software at all, you will have to buy all new versions. Also older hardware likely won't work neither, like printers, scanners and all-in-ones etc as their drivers either won't get a update or they won't make one to force a premature hardware turnover.
If your upgrading your older 10.5 machine to 10.7, I'd advise against it, there isn't as much software ready for 10.7 (like 10.6) because it's forcing developers to rewrite their PPC based code
10.7 is slower and more glitchs than 10.6, more depressing gray all over and strange UI changes.
Also 10.8 is due out this summer and may not run on older hardware, so it's looking like you will be best off with 10.6.8 and leaving it at that to get the most software choice/performance and leave 10.8 for a new hardware/software purchase.
If your going to 10.7 anyway, then check this database to make sure the software your going to have to buy is ready or not. IMO, Lion for you and your older machine is a wasted effort and better the new software on a new hardware purchase.
    http://roaringapps.com/apps:table
I must admit though I throughly hate OS X Lion, as do a lot of other people,  it's only because it's quality is absolutely terrible and unbecoming of Apple, likely why Mountain Lion 10.8 is being released this summer a year in advance and only a year after Lion. However my opinion about Lion's poor quality isn't relfected in my advice to you. For you it's more of a older hardware/have to buy all new software type deal which a newer machine with 10.8 and promises to be better/more refined OS than 10.7.
So in other words, upgrade to 10.6.8 and stay there, save your pennies for a new machine Early 2013, by then 10.8 would have several months and a lot of software/bugs worked out for it.
