When choosing date on a banking site a box appears telling me to use a to date greater than from date.
I am trying to get a report from a bank site and a box pops up asking me to choose a to date greater than from date. I have the correct dates chosen. Is there a fix or away around this.
Check the date and time in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.

In explorer when I go to my banks sites - I see a lock - what should I look for in Fkirefox
I have only used explorer - so I am new to this browzer. When I visit my bank or am about to use paypal I see a lock, so I know the site is secure - what should I look for with Firefox?
They've been silly and removed it.
I've posted my thoughts on this here.

You now need to click on the icon on to the left of the websites address on the address bar!!!
So if you look up now you'll see mozilla.com icon on the address bar!
Edit; '''In addition this would be a workaround for FF5 to get the Padlock back!!'''
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/padlock-icon/ -
The website comes up fine but "secure connection failed" shows in the space where I'm supposed to put my account number. (I'm prevented from putting my account number in that field.) This computer is running Win 7 Pro. The older version of Firefox on another computer with Win XP has no such problem with the website, nor does the IE browser on this computer.
One possibility is: Some users had problems with secure sites starting in Firefox 31 related to the new PKIX security component, and worked around it by disabling it. Starting in Firefox 33, it can no longer be disabled, and that setting is ignored.
Are you comfortable posting the address of the login page so others could see whether they have the same experience with the form? -
Just hit an SSL-only site that I needed to access that FF 35 blocked. I don't see an obvious way to create an exception or re-enable it. We need this option... many users understand POODLE and can make an intelligent decision regarding the risks. TLS has its vulnerabilities as well.
hello ancistrus, as you know ssl3.0 encrypted connections can be no longer considered secure since an attack vector against them ("POODLE") has become known. please contact the webmaster in charge of the site and urge them to update their encryption to something contemporary.
https://blog.mozilla.org/security/2014/10/14/the-poodle-attack-and-the-end-of-ssl-3-0/
if you want to re-enable ssl 3.0 in firefox you can do that - however keep the consequences in mind, that you will become vulnerable to the attack mentioned above: enter '''about:config '''into the firefox address bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named '''security.tls.version.min'''. double-click it, change its value to '''0''' and restart the browser. -
When I attempt to open Firefox instead of Firefox opening, an error message appears saying "Firefox is already running but isn't responding. To open another window please close the existing Firefox process or restart the system.", but I can't find that process of Firefox in order to kill it, and after restarting the system there is still the problem. I have found an emergency fix to at least get online, and that is to use"Firefox_Profile_Manager" in the start menu's "run" start menu, but the
Firefox that then opens is that one doesn't carry over what I had in my bookmarks but starts bookmarks anew.Sounds like it is hanging when you exit and later try to restart Firefox.

** You may need to use '''Safe Mode''' to locate the problem: ***See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode
***Firefox 4 users, hold the Shift key while clicking the Firefox 4 desktop icon to enter Safe Mode.
***Firefox Safe Mode is a diagnostic mode that disables Extensions and some other features of Firefox.

I have moved from UK to New Zealand. I need to change my address within iTunes because my credit card is now billed to me in NZ. I have an iPad. When I tap United Kingdom within the relevant change personal details section, instead of allowing me to switch countries, a red message comes up telling me that I have unexpired video rentals. This is correct, but it does not help me switch countries. Can anyone help?
Nothing yet. I have changed my information back to the UK address and, though it is no longer correct, it now allows me to buy stuff. Not good!

Unwanted dialog box when opening iPhoto.
Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for a Folder called 'Import' or 'Importing'.
Drag it to the Desktop. Make no other changes. Start iPhoto. Does that help?
If it does then look inside that folder on your desktop. Does it contain anything you want? If not you can trash the folder. -

When I click agree and install a blank box appears with a red X
Hi, ive been having a problem installing shockwave player for
IE recently.
The problem is that when i click "agree and install shockwave
player" the next page (where it is meant to show the installation
progress) comes up with a white box with a red X top left corner.
It seems when i try and re download shockwave off the shockwave
website, it goes straight to the installation page and doesn't show
the active X warning (I don't know if this is relevant). I can
however download it on download.com but then there it doesn't seem
to install!
The same red X comes up when trying to load games on internet
explorer that require shockwave.
I am running Windows XP SP3 with Kaspersky Internet Security
2009 (however, this problem was before i had KIS2009). All
suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Nickquote:

I checked this out with Verizon tech and it was determined that the problem was with the Firefox browser. With Safari I have no problem forwarding e-mails. This box appeared for the first time on June 15. I have never seen it before. I still am able to send and receive e-mails. The only function that does not work, since 6/15, is the ability to forward an e-mail. I have Firefox version 31.0. I work on an Apple IMac.
I have already re-installed the default version of Firefox, deleted all my history. Nothing has worked to eliminate that message. The Verizon tech person said that there seems to be a problem between my router and Firefox. I don't understand how this problem suddenly cropped up 4 days ago. Will I be able to resolve this or will I have to switch to another browser? One more bit of info: my O.S. is Mac 10.6.8.
Thank you.
leonboloHi leonbolo,
Oh noz, I am sorry to hear that there is an issue with Firefox and the router and that clearing the cache and reinstalling is still causing this issue. We are happy to help.
Please see these also for reference:
*[[Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet]]
*[[Firefox can't load websites but other browsers can]]
Two things I can think of:
*Ping the router from Firefox [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/pingler/ Pingler addon ]
*See if the smtp that the Verizon mail uses is ping able as well. (rebooting the router is the default troubleshooting if it was working before. )
Please post back, it could help other users as well! -
