When clicking on an address firefox gets redirected or "jump"ed to another.

After searching a topic, and then clicking on a selected web site my browser gets redirected or is jumped to another unrelated web site. Sometimes I am not able to use the back button and have to click on the home icon and start over. Is there a setting I need to turn off/on either in the tools toolbar or in Internet Explorer properties which is the window's browser that I don't use? Thank you!

You have or had an extension installed (MegaUpload toolbar) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.14 to Firefox/2.0.0.16.

You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page. 
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website. 
Filter: general.useragent 
If general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. 
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

OTM launches IE when clicking "run test" not Firefox

How can I configure OTM so that when clicking on "run test" it runs the test in Firefox not IE?
I've recorded the script in openscript using firefox and the openscript browser preference is set to Firefox.
But OTM still launch IE?

If you click 'edit this test' in OTM,
there is a field "Command line run setting :"
Here you can specify additional settings that are described in Appendix A of the OpenScript Userguide
from section A 2.2:
Setting Description
-browser.type type Specify the browser type to use for script playback
where type is one of the following (use exact case and no spaces):
■ InternetExplorer
■ Firefox
The default is InternetExplorer.

I need the following scenario:
I have a Sharepoint library with items created by Infopath (form A).
I developed another form (form B) that will query items created by form A.
The form B will be in a static "webpart" page navigation (Sharepoint). One of these fields returned by the query library that manages the items created is the URL responsible to load the item data . I would like to parameterize the URL into form B.
So that when the user clicks on it, the form A with their respective data in a modal is returned (which may be a native modal Sharepoint)

When I find the result and attached link that I want, I click on it and get a "submit query" message on the screen and then am redirected to something completely different. When I use IE8, I can go directly to honeymark. Firefox goes to the honeymark website, but then reconnects to an unsuccessful search for convertglobal.

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works find in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].

When clicking an email address on a website FF opens 355 tabs and then freezes.

Upgraded to 3.6.12 on Mac using OSX 10.6.5. Every page I've clicked on an email address gets me 355 tabs trying to open all blank. I even accessed those pages on Safari and it opened Firefox and 355 tabs.
Is it a bug in the OS or FF?

If Firefox tries to reopen all those tabs then you need to remove the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak and any existing files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js to prevent Firefox from restoring a previous session.

Set the pref [http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes browser.sessionstore.max_resumed_crashes] to 0 on the about:config page to get the about:sessionrestore page immediately with the first restart after a crash has occurred or the Task Manager was used to close Firefox.
That will allow you to deselect the tab(s) that you do not want to reopen, but will allow to reopen the other tabs.

If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

Change email program that opens when clicking an email address in Safari?

Can I set Safari to open Microsoft Entourage as my default email program? Currently Safari always opens Eudora when I click on an email address. I found a place in Firefox to set it, but I can't find a place to set it in Safari. Safari Help was useless as usual.

Thanks. It didn't occur to me to open Mail, because I don't use it for my email. How many programs let you select their competitors? Usually they ask to be selected over their competitors. And the fact that I could set my preferred mail program within Firefox suggested that I should be able to do the same in Safari...

I am trying to create a button in flash that will display 4 separate images at the same time when clicked. I can't get the images to stay on when I take the mouse of the button. I need the actions script code to make this happen.

I can get the images to appear when I click the button but they will not stay on the screen. I need to know what code I use to make the images stay once the button is clicked, then I need to know exactly where I place that code. It does not appear to be possible to add the action code to the buttons layer since each time I add a new layer I just get another "up" "over" "down" and "hit" line.

It is not clear how you are trying to realize this from your description. If you are trying to create this within a button symbol it will not work. Explain your approach and if there is code involved, show what you have so far.

When clicking links from Thunderbird, Firefox creates a new link with no data, I have to click again to create a new link with the correct url

When I click a link in thunderbird and also on firefox it creates a new tab with nothing in it, a blank web page. If I click the link again it creates a new tab with the link. If i click it again, a blank tab, click it again,new tab with the correct info. It seems to work only on the even numbered clicks not the odd ones.

If you delete all the Adobe Reader stuff it will probably fix this. For almost everything, the Apple pdf handling works better.
