Always when I close FF 4.0 on my desktop running XP it says it failed to close correctly and is still running ?
Same thing happened in another version of FF I believe.

After closing Firefox, the process continues to run for as long as one minute. If you try to restart during that time, it tells you it's already running. Have no clue why FF4 needs so much time to shut down. That never was an issue with FF3.6.

When i switch my laptop on then double click Firefox to go on the internet a pop up appears more often than not saying Firefox is already running you have to close existing window or restart your computer, i have nothing at all running so i have to restart the computer only to find the same thing happens again and again. I updated Firefox to newest version about 2 months ago and this was happening now and again but it seems to be happening all the time now. It is just luck sometimes that it lets me launch the internet.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. Is there a way to tell Firefox to reload a page every time? I'm a web designer and need to see what it looks like every time I open pages that I'm doing.

In IE, you can set the program to reload a page from the web each time you visit a page. I can't find a way to do that in FF. I'd prefer to only reload the websites that I work on rather than everything on the web, but that's likely not possible with any browser.

The information box pops up when I click on my desktop icon for firefox as well as if I try to access it in other ways. I have restarted my computer. I have tried removing firefox and redownloading it. No matter what I do, it still gives me a box saying it is already running, but not responding. When I pull up my taks bar, it is not running! You don't need to restart your computer to open Firefox again: you just need to close it manually through your application manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC in Processes tab). Anyway, hopefully this support article is what you need:

Now I'm aware this happens often and people have posted solutions to this, but this situation is slightly different. The "profiles" that possibly had parental lock on it were deleted and I don't know how to get it back. Re-downloading firefox obviously does nothing. Opening the task manager and to try and close all mozilla/firefox files and apps doesn't work either. Tried using Onyx to turn invisible files visible but that didn't work either. I think it's cause I deleted the profiles. Suggestions?

If not then you need to use the Profile Manager to re-register that no longer recognized profile.<br />
You do that by creating a new profile and use Choose Location to point the your lost profile.

I thought it may be related to spaces in the path in which the script was called from. I tried having the ODBC command script in another directory but the same thing happens. It will give me the "CONFIGSYSDSN: Unable to create a data source for the 'Oracle in OraClient10g_home1' driver: Could not load the setup or translator library with error code -2147467259". As soon as the script is done running I can manually double click the script and it adds the DSN fine.

Have you ever even used skype on an iphone or ipod? We tried it and there is no way to type to each other while you are video chatting. You can do the typing during the video on a COMPUTER, but not on an iphone or ipod.

You don't say which operating system you have installed?
Assuming it's Windows, right click a blank part of the Windows Taskbar and go to Task Manager. Then click the ''Processes ''tab, find '''firefox.exe''' and then right click it and choose '''End Process'''.
