When connecting IPOD to pc it doesnt recognize it said to try again nothing

I bought my daughters the 7th generation IPOD nanos, when connecting to PC it said it doesnt recognize them, disconnect try again but it still does the same thing. Also we verified accts for yahoo and ITunes they have money in their acct's however when we try to click buy it does nothing any help on this?

When I connect my ipod to USB immediately following taking it off my AC adapter, it causes my computer (PC, XP) to restart.
Reinstall Windows. This has nothing to do with iTunes or any other Apple software, because that functionality is entirely Windows based.
If reinstalling windows fresh (and doing all the updates) doesn't fix it, then you have a hardware problem on the PC.

Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes.

If the content on your iPhone cannot be read by iTunes, then you will need to follow the directions in the popup and restore your iPhone to the factory settings. You can then try and restore from a previous backup.

ITunes stop working when connecting ipod 4th generation on Vista

When connecting ipod 4th generation to a computer running Vista Ultimate, ITunes (version 8) closes. Windows provide the following message - iTunes has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

i have the same issue... but i found a workaround.. i tried 3 diff OS's . didnt change the problem. To Add apps or music to ur Ipod... simply DISCONNECT the Ipod from the PC then add files/folders to library. Then connect the ipod back to PC and sync. it has no problem adding the files that way (at least in my case) I hope this helps... Good Luck =)

This could be due to a hardware issue. You may try using a different USB port on your computer.
Check for hardware issues

Try to restore your iOS device two more times while connected with a cable, computer, and network you know are good. Also, confirm your security software and settings are allowing communication between your device and update servers. Can you check the Object Security for the Analysis Menu and Export button and see if it is restricted?

iTunes has to contact Apple to send your agreement to the new conditions, but your security software has to allow this contact. If blocked, you'll get a time out message. Is this how you do it?
1. Turn off iPad. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, slide to turn off.
2. Connect USB cable to computer
3. Press and hold the Home button down and connect the docking end of cable to iPad
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect To iTune" screen
5. Release the Home button
6. Open iTune (make sure you have the newest version of iTune)
7. You should see "iTunes has detected an iPad in recovery mode"
8. Use iTune to restore iPad
Note: You need to be patient and repeat the above many times to recover your iPad

Do you mean trying to purchase an iPhoto book? Try rebooting and ordering again. If that fails Boot into Safe Mode, Mac OS X: Starting up in Safe Mode, and try ordering from there.

We are getting "Unable to connect to Server at <<servername>>. enter a different URL and try again" error, if we are trying to connect to report server in report builder.
This issue is appearing only on 2-3 client machines only. Rest on other client machines and server URL is working fine.

I would suggest looking at what might be different between those clients and the others that work. Do they run the same antivirus version? Did they receive any recent updates (windows or AV)? Are they potentially on a different network
(sometimes a wireless network is configured to be different from the wired)? Are they getting any different group policies?
We've seen the antivirus web control block access before in my environment.
