When connecting to server the other computers will not mount on the desktop

I have three computers connected wireless and ethernet. When connecting to the imac and mac pro with my macbook pro the other computers will not mount on the desktop. I have never had a problem like this before.
The imac and mac pro will mount the laptop or imac and the imac will mount the mac pro and laptop.
When I connect to the server with the laptop I can access everything thru the shared folders but nothing will mount on the laptop desktop using the, connect to server.
External HD connected with firewire will mount and the internal cd/dvd will mount.
I have ran permissions repair on the laptop. Have I accidently changed some configuration I am not aware of?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

Dick,
I know this sounds silly but while in Finder goto (Finder)/(Preferences) and then make sure your on the (General) tab, make sure all the things you want to show are checked.
If that doesn't help move the com.apple.finder.plist to the desktop you can find in in ~/Library/Preferences ( ~ = Your Home Folder), log out/log in, and see if that fixes the problem if not go ahead and move the plist file back.

I'm struggling with this issue and hope someone will have some insight these problems I'm having. I'm currently running 10.6.4 on my Mac and all of the sudden I'm unable to connect to my work's servers or mount a flash drive drive. The issue began after I corrected my disk permissions and restarted my computer. On the restart, I got a pop-up for each server I automatically connect to. The pop-up reads:

At the same time, my flash drive, which has always worked, won't mount on my computer. But, here's the weird thing... I have two external drives connected to my Mac and they work perfectly. My only guess is that they're formated as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and my flash drive is formated as MS-DOS(FAT).
Any ideas as to why these issues are happening? Thanks

Okay, this is just getting ridiculous. Turns out that my Mac will no longer mount a DVD. I'm working on a project in which I'm making a DVD with DVD Studio Pro and the disc burns just fine. However, when I insert to the disc to verify that it was burned correctly I cannot play the DVD.

Two laptops - one will connect to the internet and the other one will not

I have two home laptops. Both show as connected to my network with full signal. However, when you attempt to open the internet, one laptop will not open and the other one will. I have tried connecting with just the cord from the router to the laptop and it doesn't work; I have tried looking up the IP address and one laptop address is different from the other - I don't know if this should be this way or not; I have tried doing the start, run, cmd, ipconfig, and I got 4 replies, but when I typed in ping space yahoo.com, I did not get the replies on the computer that will not go on the internet, but did get the replies on the other laptop. I don't know what else to do - please give me some ideas.

This morning, I made a new "customer" and downloaded the "trial version" of CC2014 photoshop. This resulted a working CC2014. I hope Adobe can fix my "real" account which does not work at this time.
Anyone else tried this?

I don't think everyone with a Mac is having basic problems with Photoshop 2014.1.
What exact versions do you have in each case? Is your updated version 2014.1, while the "new customer" version is 2014.0? Choose Help - System Info to see.
Sounds like, given your specific system, you may want to try a full clean and reinstall, or maybe a downgrade to 2014.0 until 2014.1.1 or 2014.2 comes out. I think the older versions are available through the Creative Cloud application.

Are you saying that you bought the game from the App store and made another copy onto a dvd so you can play it on another computer too? If so, you can not do that, you have to buy it again for the other computer.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

Your home button and power button are completely unresponsive, even when you attempt a hard reset? If so you will have to put into recovery mode and restore through itunes or possibly DFU if that does not work

It is almost as if the program does not exist on my computer. If I search for it, the only thing that comes up is the installer. I cannot find it anywhere despite the fact I have installed it numerous times, uninstalled it and conducted a fresh install, and the Adobe website checks says that it is installed.

My computer is suddenly not allowing any websites to connect. They all start with Untrusted Connection. It's EXTREMELY annoying. I just updated my Firefox version have restarted my computer twice. External drives will not mount if the wi-fi is on!

I have had no replies where I had previously posted so I thought I would try here as I think that it is mainly an Airport problem.
My problem is this. I have a Macbook that I use at home no problem. I teach at a college where there is are two wi-fi connections that my Macbook automatically connects to depending on where I am in the department. Recently almost everything I try and do causes the spinning beachball for 10 minutes or much more at a time. Additionally, I have discovered that any external drives will not mount on my laptop, unless I switch the wi-fi off! No-one else is having any problems at all.
One of the wi-fi connections is an Airport Extreme. Each morning my laptop gets the message that there is a problem and I need to update the firmware to 7.5.2. (I originally set the Airport up through my laptop) I am very wary of doing this as everything is working fine for the other 20+ laptops in the department and I have read lots of reports of problems with this update.
I suppose my questions are these - 1 Does anyone have any idea what is going on with my laptop? 2 What should I try doing to solve this issue?
I have searched the net and cannot seem to find any reference to this problem anywhere else. Any ideas at all why this might be happening will be much appreciated.

It was not until Mac OS X 10.6.4, not possible to run on a 10.2 machine, that ExFat was supported.
Many older Macs also will not recognize GUID formatted partitions made to boot Intel Macs either.
10.2.3 is the first system to support Apple Partition Map HFS Extended (Jornalled).
