When-create-record ora-03114

This error occurs if you open a cursor, or if you use SYSDATE in a trigger when-create-record.
Can anyone help me?

Telling us you have forms 11 and database 11 is a very unspecific statement considering there are 2 major versions for each (11gR1 and 11gR2 for both forms and database) with each having several patchsets. So all in all there are a lot of combinations you could have, which probably could be the cause of your problems.
What I'd do is take a look at the alert.log of the database, and bring both forms and the database to the latest patchlevel of whatever major release you are using.
cheers

    I've read another time docs Hussein linked and as in "Troubleshooting Transaction Types In Oracle Receivables (Doc ID 1090878.1)" Patch Related paragraph, seems like I need  Patch 8302210:R12.AD.B cause my admorgb.pls  version is 120.21.12010000.2 instead of 120.21.12010000.3. I think replicate seed data program duplicated something in db. Is it possible?

    With the information you have provided so far, it's hard to say that the cause of the issue is because of this file (version). However, if this is a test instance you may proceed and apply the patch and see if it helps.

  • Error in Forms while creating the trigger- WHEN-CREATE-RECORD

    Hello,
    Right now I am using 11g client side and 10g database.
    I am constantly getting an error while creating triggers in 11g.
    I have created a sequence in SQL developer using the following code:
    create sequence loc_id_sequence
    start with 14;
    After creating the sequence. I am trying to write the PL/SQL code in forms builder for the trigger WHEN-CREATE-RECORD
    declare
    loc_id number;
    begin
    loc_id := loc_id_sequence.nextval;
    end;
    But I have been getting the following error constantly. Can anyone please help me?
    "Error 0 at line 5, column 4
    SQL statement ignored".
    Can anyone please tell me why I am getting that error

    In fact, even I thought there might be some problem with the connectivity with the 10g database and 11g client but the other DB related code works.
    I just have the problem with using sequence for the trigger WHEN-CREATE-RECORD.
    In fact I also tried using WHEN-NEW-RECORD-INSTANCE smart trigger instead of WHEN-CREATE-RECORD for the same sequence. But even that doesn't work.
    Do u have any idea of what that error means?

    SQL statement ignored"

  • Loyalty application error when creating records.

    I am new in Siebel world and we have just installed Siebel loyalty and the Siebel Customer eLoyalty Portal on a sandbox to learn the product features.
    The database has no data yet so I would like to create records.
    So I start Siebel Loyalty 8.2.1 client, connect to the server, go to Loyalty Program Administration and click new to create a new program. I put a entry for the Name field and I have nothing to select from the Program owner pick channel window because I did not create a partner yet. So I start the Siebel Partner manager ENU application 8.2.1, connect to the server. I go in the partner tab and try to create a new partner entering a partner name.
    Then I get this error when I press enter:
    An error has occurred writing to a record.
    Please continue or ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration if the problem persists. (SQL-DBC-00111) ORA-01400 cannot insert NULL into ("SIEBEL"."S_ACCNT_POSTN"."POSITION_ID")
    I have Siebel admiinistrator access.
    What I am missing here to be able to enter data. The only field mandatory is the Partner name...
    Thank you for your help

    You probably want to create an account, link a partner to the account and then create the program.

  • How to get Value of a item of first record when current record is second

    How to get Value of a item of first record when current record is second in Form6i ?
    get_item_instance_property dose not allow to get value.

    Gerd,
    You're right, there are several other triggers that must be coded, but I was responding to Steve's statement about Inserting or deleting records from the multi-record block. For the record, I use the following to manage a Record Group:
    * When-New-Block-Instance - Initialize the RG
    * block Post-Query - populate the RG
    * When-Create-Record - add new record to RG
    * When-Remove-Record - remove record from RG
    * block When-New-Item-Instance - capture previous value of the item or row
    * When-Validate-Item - Item specific Insert, Update, Delete of values in the RG
    There are a few other places as well, but these are the minimum. It might seem like a lot of code, but then again, I don't use this solution for every multi-line block. Like all tools, you use the right tool for the job. :-)

  • FRM-41106 You cannot create records without a parent record.

    Hello!
    Forms 6i.
    I have a Parent-Detail-Relationship. At the Detail-Block a "When-create-record" sets some default values on the Detail-Block.
    I got error "FRM-41106 You cannot create records without a parent record" when the Parent-Block executes a execute_query.
    I debuged the problem an found out, that the error appears in the standard-programunit "Clear_All_Master_Details".
    The error appears, when the code is deleting the detail-block "code: Clear_Block(NO_VALIDATE)".
    This is strange: The error appears only when I uses the "When-create-record"-trigger on the detail-block.
    If a comment out the trigger, no error appears.
    Why Is a "When-create-record"-trigger initiated when deleting the detail-block?
    Default-Code of "Clear_All_Master_Details":
    -- Clear all the detail blocks for this master without
    -- any further asking to commit.
    currel := Get_Block_Property(trigblk, FIRST_MASTER_RELATION);
    WHILE currel IS NOT NULL LOOP
    curdtl := Get_Relation_Property(currel, DETAIL_NAME);
    IF Get_Block_Property(curdtl, STATUS) <> 'NEW' THEN
    Go_Block(curdtl);
    Check_Package_Failure;
    Error appear here----> Clear_Block(NO_VALIDATE);
    IF :System.Block_Status <> 'NEW' THEN
    RAISE Form_Trigger_Failure;
    END IF;
    END IF;
    currel := Get_Relation_Property(currel, NEXT_MASTER_RELATION);
    END LOOP;
    Thx in advance,
    Wolfgang

    Wolfgang,
    To be honest, I've always done this kind of thing in the Pre-Inse rt or Pre-Upda te triggers. Why is it so important for the user to see the value of these field BEFORE the IN SERT or UPDAT E? Once the record is commited, they will see these values in your form. In my experience - users are typically satisfied with this approach. If your users are not OK with this approach, perhaps you could us a When-Validate-Record trigger instead of the When-Create-Record trigger.
    I think the When-Create-Record option would still work, but your code will need a little tweak. Give the following a try:
       IF ( NVL(:termin.best_nr,'MSTR') = NVL(:pos.best_nr,'DTL')
            AND NVL(:termin.best_jj,'MSTR') = NVL(:pos.best_jj,'DTL')
            AND NVL(:termin.best_pos,'MSTR') = NVL(:pos.best_pos,'DTL') ) THEN
           <<...set_values..>>
       END IF;Remember, NULL values do not always get evaluated correctly so it is always best to use the NVL function to ensure fields are evaluated correctly.
    BTW, you indicated that you ran DEBUG on your trigger, when your IF statement was evaluated did the "set_Values" section of your code run? If it didn't - do you have other code in your WCR trigger that is setting values outside of your IF statement?

  • When-database-record

    what is the difference between
    when-database-record and when-create-record triggers?

    When-create-record
    Fires whenever a new record is created using the create_record method, this method is used to do some initialization for new record to initialize form fields as new record is created.
    When-database-record
    Fires whenever a record is inserted or updated. Whenever we modify a field in form, the this trigger is fired. Use a When-Database-Record trigger to perform an action every time a record is first marked as an insert or an update.
    If we have created both triggers at block level in a form, then when we open the form, then When-create-record trigger is fired and when we modify a single field in form then When-database-record is fired.
    Hope it helps.

  • Ora-03114   when  saving data after  second update  for the detail block

    hi
    i am using developer 6i and i did a form which includes masters and details blocks
    when i create a record for the master and detail and save it , then it saves , and if i make any changes on the detail block for the first time and save it saves , but if i make changes for the second time and save it gives me
    ora-03114 not connected to oracle
    if any one knows what is causing the problem, then let me know please. Thanks

    Hi
    This is very strange...
    What if u re-connect to oracle form ...? is same problem occured ?
    1.Pls check any trigger block level as post-update and other related...
    2.Remove any un-necessary triggers u thought they r ignored by ur forms but they almost causes unexpected problems...!
    3.pls share us the code u have in key-commit or post-commit trigger , etc.
    or remove it temporary just for test purposes compile , generate and run.
    Hope this helps...

    How can we accomplish that? Is it possible to use BBP_SOS_BADI or is this BADI only valid for SRM local sources of supply?
    Has anybody had the same problem and solved it before?
    Thanks in advance for your help, regards
    David

    Hi  David
    Inforecord  is only source of supply for classic scenario only.
    Find and Check Sources of Supply
    Use
    With the Business Add-In BBP_SOS_BADI, you can search for and check sources of supply according to your own rules. These sources of supply include contracts, vendor list entries and product linkages. For this, the customer fields of the shopping cart or purchase order are transferred to the BAdI.
    Standard settings
    The BAdI provides the following methods:
    1. BBP_SOS_INDEX_UPDATE_CHECK
    Use: Check and update contract items in the source of supply table.
    2. BBP_SOS_SEARCH
    Use: Search for sources of supply according to your own rules.
    3. BBP_SOS_CHECK
    Use: Check and filter the sources of supply found by the standard search according to your own rules.
    4. BBP_SOS_PD_CHECK
    Use: Carrying out your own additional checks when creating a shopping cart document item with an assigned contract.
    Activities
    Implement the BAdI if you wish to determine or check sources of supply according to your own rules.

    Please compile CUSTOM.pll (and other files) as per these docs and try again (as you are on R12 use frmcmp_batch.sh instead of f60gen).
