When creating Key figures

Hi gurus,
When creating Key Figures in Adminstration workbench
in the tabs AGGREGATION and ADDITIONAL PROPERTIES
can somebody kindly explain the below contents and how do they affect and where do they affect, if we select.
AGGREGATION
aggregation----> sum, maximum, minmum
Exception Aggr----> summation
first value
last value
no aggregation (x if more than one record occurs)
no aggregation (x if more than one value occurs)
no aggregation (x if more than one value not= 0 occurs)
standard deviation
summation
var
agg. referen.char
cummulative/non-cumulative values
non *** value with ncum value change
ncum value with in and out flow
i will be very greatfull if somebody can give me some clear explaination and with some examples

thanks for the quick response.
With the info i got ...i am assuming that...
if we set the settings of aggregation when creating key figures they will be displayed in the query results row.
but if we want to have this effect in the data targets then we have to do these settings in the update rules
plz can you tell me where to do these settings and is the affect same as the properties of key figures do in the query results row.

Creating key figures in report writer

Hello,
i'm making a new report painter/ writer and i find a problem. The process that i've made already is:
1- create a view table with the tables i need.
2- make the corresponding entries into T804A and T804E tables.
3- I create the library for my Z table.
4- then i go to GS32 to create key figures and i get nothing. We are in 4.6C.
I tried to import/ export key figures from other libraries and SAP says that all is imported, but in GS32 i have no one either.
If i go to GR22 and push 'key figures' button for my library i get a dump. It says:
ABAP runtime errors    DYNPRO_ITAB_ERROR
What happened?

This is probably due to an error in the current screen of the ABAP

I have now resolved this issue.
I had to manually update TablesT804B and T804F.
I've added entries to T804A in the past without the need to update T804B or T804F manually so it appears that the way these tables work together has changed following an upgrade or application of support packs.

I get an error when launching a key figure monitor iview in portal ; the error is RABAX-STATE
In r/3 under transaction ST22 i got following :
"UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION" "CX_WDR_RT_EXCEPTION"
"CL_WDR_INTERNAL_WINDOW========CP" or "CL_WDR_INTERNAL_WINDOW========CM00B"
"IF_WD_WINDOW~SUBSCRIBE_TO_BUTTON_EVENT"
Anybody knows how to resolve the problem?

Creating Key Figures

Hello everyone,
I'm currently trying to build my own AR Aging Report as the standard one does not include a couple extension fields that I need. I've already created my Data Source but the Key Figure Group that is in the standard AR Aging Report is something that I need to recreate for my new report. I have no problem recreating these Key Figures but I have no idea which formulas/Key Figures/etc SAP used in building them. Is there a way to find out how SAP built these? Specifically, I need the details for the Key Figure Group 'Aging List Structure'.

Hi Charles,
I had to re-create some SAP core key figures in the past as well. The only way to get the calculation rules was to request them by an incident report. As far as I know there is still no other solution to view calculation rules of core key figures.

Short Dump When Installing Key Figure Catalog from BI Content

Hi Friends,
I get a Short dump when trying to Install a Key Figure Catalog (in Purchasing) from the BI content. This is what the Error Says ,
" You Attempted to Use a "NULL" object reference (Points to nothing) access a component (variable : " "). An Object reference must point to an object (an instance of class ) before it can be used to access components.

this bug hits only patch level 201 of the DBSL. Please update the DBSl.
Regarding the ABAP code I do not believe that the hint helps in this case but it should not cause any problems either. If this hint is applied more PREPARE calls are neccessary since before every execution a new statement text is assembled.
The advantage of SUBSTITUTE_VALUES hints is that the database optimizer get more information through the statement text. The downside is that a new statement is generated every time. E.g. you won't find the statement as a top scorer in a SQL cache analysis if the access plan is still bad.

No values when using key figure with constant selection?

Hi experts,
I have built a Webi on top of a universe that is sitting on top of a Bex query.
In my Bex query I have a bunch of key figures defined that are restricted on time and category.
This Webi works fine.
Then I added an additional key figure that required a constant selection on time and on category.
When I first added this to my Webi report it was fine. But once I refreshed my report showed no values.
The report still seems to know that it is meant to retrieve values because it is bringing back the correct records - just no values. (ie I am showing time in my columns and it's showing the correct periods that are meant to have data)
I refreshed a number of times and sometimes it would bring "#TOREFRESH" in some cells but once I refreshed again the cells are blank. Sometimes it would even show me a value in a couple of cells and others would show the "#TOREFRESH"
I went back to my Bex query and removed the key figure with constant selection and the report is working again?
Has anyone experienced something similar? Is there a way to make this work?

#TOREFRESH error message appears for smart measures (measure object with aggregation type Database Delegated) when the context for the measure is changed. Refreshing data will solve the issue. Database delegated measures are used for some non-additive aggregation which webi is not able to handle properly. If you are not using such aggregation, then tou can change the aggregation type to something other than database delegated to avoid #TOREFRESH.

How to create Basic Key Figure, Key Figure and Characteristic

Hello Gurus,
I have copied a standard layout of KP06, named it as a Z- layout and made changes to it, like defined the plan data upload field as Object Currency enabled.
However I want to add a Z-Field , tax holiday unit as a column to this layout which I am not being able to do. The reason is when I go to Insert a new element from Edit > Element > Insert Element and click on 'Key figure with Characteristics' I do not get the Z-Field as a key figure.
I want to define the Z-field as a key figure, so that I can add it as an element.
Would be really nice of you if you can let me know the t-code/menu path to do that.

I wanted to share this information with you, hoping this will help you to help me.
I also tried to create a Key Figure in t-code GS32. In the table I mention --> FAGLFLEXR and hit enter. It says no Key figure has been defined for FAGLFLEXR. Then I put the cursor on the 'Reference Entry'and click on copy. Then give the name of the Key Field I want to create.
'Create Key Figure' dialog box appears. When I input the 'Row Text' 'Column Text' and click enter, I am getting an error 'The basic key figure entered for table FAGL is not defined'. I go back and do an F4 on 'Basic Key Figure' field, then I do not get any options.
I would be highly grateful if you can let me know how to create this 'Basic Key Figure' for table FAGLFLEXR.

Error when creating ssh keys for Oracle RAC on Solaris 10

I'm in the process of configuring 2 node oracle cluster running on Sun cluster 3.2 /solaris 10 OS.
I have followed this oracle guide to when creating keys (oracle document No =B14205-01)
But im having problem when executing this step

Key figure schema in CO-PA reporting

Hallo SAP Gurus,
Is there any method to copy the key figure schema created in one operating concern to other operating concern in the same client?
In our company, we have 18 operating concerns for 18 company codes.
I have created one key figure schema for one of the operating concern ( Since as per my knowledge, key figure schema can be created only at the operating concern level. )
Now, since the schema is common to all the operating concerns, I want to copy the same to the other 17 operating concerns.
Expecting your help since creating key figure schema 18 times and updating any changes is very much time consuming.

I have a same requirement, I want to do KECP because this is asking us to give the transport request and I know when we create key figure scheme we save it under a transport request.
Did KECP help you in doing that? If not, please let me know how did you copy key figure scheme from one operating concern to other.

Key figure is not displayed in info area

Hi experts,
I have a customer created key figure. I see it in RSD1 but it is not displayed at any info area. Normally when we create any info object and don't assign any info area, it must be displayed at " Unassigned Nodes ". But it is not displayed. When i search it in info objects, i can't find. But i can see it in RSD1. Anyone knows its solution? Thanks in advance

2- My key figure is active. But again i can not see it.

Hi,
When we create key figures also we can define the keyfigre as attribute, in the additional poperties tab by selecting attribute check box.
(or)
Once we created KF and activated, the same can be placed in Char attribute tab. In the Char creation, we can assign attributes as per our requirement. So the attributes may be be char/kf.

Show the different key figures

Hi,
Can we define a query, and show the different key figures, base on the different value of the characteristic?
Let's say, in the query, it contains a characteristic called "store", and if the store = A1,i want to only show key figure K1, K2, and a formular =K3/K2;
and if store = A2,then i want to show key figure K1,K2,and a formular = K4/K2; otherwise(for other store <>A1, or A2), i want to only show K1, K2 and a formular =K1/K2.
Is it a way fo rme to do that, pls advice.

What I need is: for store S034 and S035, they has a ¡§store
Open date¡¨ last year which are as below:
S034 09/4/2004
S035 09/18/2004
And for other stores, their ¡§store open date¡¨ are all in 2003.
So in the query, I have two key figures: MTD (sales value month to date this year), and MTDL (sales value month to date last year). If I run the query today, which is 21 of Sep 2005, then the date range for MTD will be from 09.01.2005 ¡V 09.21.2005; and the MTDL will be base on the range from 09.01.2004 ¡V 21.09.2004; and I have another formula key figure ¡§percentage¡¨, which compare ¡§this year¡¦s sale month to date ¡§ with ¡§last year sale month to date¡¨, eg: ¡§percentage¡¨ = MTD/MTDL
But since for store S034 and S035, the store only open on 09.04.2004 and 09.18.2004 respectively (that means there is no sale value existing before their store open date last year). So for store S034 and S035, we will only use the MTD partially to calculate the ¡§percentage¡¨. Eg: the date range used for calculation for this year¡¦s Partial sales will be from 09.04.2005 ¡V 21.09.2005 for S034 (K3); and 09.18.2005 - 21.09.2005 for S035 (K4). I have already created key figures for K1, K2, K3, K4, based on the different date range above.
So the report will look like below (of course, K3, k4 will be hidden once the calculation of ¡§Percentage¡¨ is done)
Store K1(MTD) K2(MTDL) Percentage K3(Partial MTD for S034) K4(Partial MTD for S035)

So my main concern is how is formula ¡§Percentage¡¨ can be done based on the different value of store. Eg, if store is S034, it will take K3/K2; and if it s S035, it will take K4/K2; otherwise, it will take K1/K2.

Planning book values for certain key figures show doubled up numbers

currently on SCM 7.0, we are facing a strange intermittent issue of doubled up values in planning book for certain key figures when compared to the underlying Infocube.
This happens when the Input process step happens, some times when the process step fails in chain and is run again.
After its run then we load data to the planning book , then when the key figures show up for the current week bucket they show Doubled up values
We tried to run a consistency check /SAPAPO/OM17 (DP time series option) but no result.
Can anyone mention what could be the reason ?

Please check the data in the cube for the codes . There could be double request for the same keyfigure. When you copy from cube whatever value avilable in the cube gets into Planning book.
Transaction : LISTCUBE
Solution : Delete the old request and check the value agina in cube. Execute the TSCUBE.

BEx Broadcaster Send button - No Broadcast Wizard with Key Figures in Rows

Working in BI 7.0 SP 16, we are having an issue with BEx Broadcaster. For a typical horizontal query (key figures in columns), the send button in BEx on the Portal works properly and returns the Broadcasting Wizard. However, when using a query in a vertical format (key figures in rows), the window opended by the send button displays the "spinning wheel" and never procceds on to the Broadcasting Wizard.
I have checked for SAP notes related to BEx Broadcaster and was not able to find anything relevant.
The same query was tested with the key figures in columns and in rows. The Broadcast Wizard comes up when the key figures are in columns, but not in rows. Since it was tested both ways with the same query, I am assuming that the issue is related to the orientation (horizontal vs. vertical).
Has anyone else run into this issue? Is there a known limitation, or a patch available? Does anyone have a BI system with a query you could flip the key figures from columns to rows and give it a try?

I'm having my own issues with BEx Broadcaster in the Portal, but from BEx Query Designer - Query - Publish - BEx Broadcaster, the BEx Broadcaster Wizard is available in both cases (Key figures in columns and key figures in rows).

Need Method to Look Up Prices from a 8 X 7 Grid for BW Query Key Figures

Hello.
I have Material Groups that have various costs associated with them in the format of an 8 X 7 Excel Grid.
Rows:
Shipping
Packaging
Labor
Etc.
Columns:
Cost if sales were above 10,000 per month.
Cost if sales were above 15,000 per month.
Cost if sales were above 20,000 per month.
etc.
I need to figure out a way to have a BW Query lookup the price from the row and column based on the monthly volumes. (kind of like a VLOOKUP and an HLOOKUP in Excel).
I thought about simply creating Key Figures for every possible combination, but I would've ended up with 56+ key figures on my ODS object.
Does anybody have a suggestion for me to do this in a cleaner manner?

If i've understood ur prob correctly than you can use the conditions function in the query...create separate conditions for your criteria and display the output ....
