When crystal report is going to support 64 native application

You said in the below article that Crystal Reports 2008 (version 12.1.x) support 64 bit Operating systems, but in a 32 bit mode only. When it going to support in 64 bit mode ( native 64 bits support)

CR 2008 won't get native 64 bit support as far as I know.
The next version of the product is rumored to have it.

Hi Alessandro,
The version of Crystal Reports that comes with MS Visual Studio .NET, which is CR version 10.x, is 64 bit but is quite limited in it's functionality. Only some export types and database drivers are supported. It basically only allows you to view reports, no RCAPI functionalty at all.
I suggest not going that way. RDC is not 64 bit at all, it's old COM engine and will not work in 64 bit mode as I said above. The RDC is not supoorted using .NET also.

There should not be any. Typically newer versions of Crystal Reports are able to open older versions without issue.

Crystal Report Optional Prompt Not supported

Hi,
I am creating a Crystal Report on top of BEx query. We have 4 parameters in BEx and i have created one parameter in Crystal which should be an optional one. The report is working perfectly alright when run in designer. But when published to enterprise the optional prmpt is not working as intended. It is expecting a value all the times. I tried to default it some value, but it is not working.
We are using BO XI 3.1 FP2.8, Crystal Reports 2008 SP2 FP2.8 BI 7.X.
We are using BI Publisher to publish the reports. Alos i have treid testing by directly saving the report to enterprise but the result is the same.
Any suggestions or help is greatly appreciated.

I am already using the Not HasValue(). And that is working perfectly when tested from Crystal Reports designer. But it is not working only when published to the enterprise.

SAP B1 suspends when Crystal Report parameter screen appears

Crystal Report Add On is installed to my SAP B1 2007B (patch 10) system.
When I run a CR report, a parameter screen appears for me to enter required parameter values. The system seems suspended to all other B1 users until I submitted the parameter values.
Any idea of why this happens? And how to prevent this?

Is the addon download from SDN or developed by yourself?
If it is developed by yourself, please make sure to open the CR report in another thread.
You got to separate B1 Event Routine and Window Form Event Routine in different Thread.
Otherwise one will be hung.

Dynamic Parameter only showing 1000 records when Crystal report is run.

I have created a crystal report using ODBC access to a table that has 3000 records. I created a dynamic parameter to pull a list of all the Customer ID's in a customer table and the parameter will only show the 1st 1000 records. In addition I cannot type in the customer ID that I would like. Version of Crystal - Crystal 11.

IMPRTANT NOTES:
- The higher the number of values is, the longer it will take the see the dynamic parameter prompt screen. In brief, it impact the performance.
- The value 0 (Unlimited) will not work with BusinessObjects Enterprise XI or Crystal Reports Server XI, you must specify another value.
After making changes to the registry, close and reopen Crystal Reports, or restart the Crystal Reports services for the BusinessObjects platforms.

Iu2019m very new to crystal report. We have a critical requrement to integrate Crystal Report Server XI with one of our J2EE Application, and currently in the process of evaluating the same. And we are using the evaluation version (30 day trial) for eval purpose

1)      How I can integrate the Viewer part of the server into our application.

Crystal Reports Viewer Control - Visual Studio 2008 WEB Application

My question is this: Has ANYONE on this planet been able to get the ASP .NET CR Viewer control to actually work?
Why does this editor NOT recognize End-of-line or CR characters or any whitespace??
I have developed a Crystal Reports "Viewer" web application in VS2008 using C#.
It's a simple app, in that it's a single page with a treeview control (containing the grouped names of the reports to which the user has access) and the CR Viewer control.
The report files live on a network share, and permissions to them is controlled via a SQL Server database, which, for each report, stores the UserID and Logion for the oracle database, as well as any required parameter values.
The reports themselves are all hititng an Oracle 10g database.
I managed to do this in a Windows desktop applcation using Visual Studio 2005 and VB .net, but now, upon trying to make this a web application in VS2008, I have completely failed. The application works when run locally, but when deployed to the web server, I experience database login prompts when I should not, (the dreaded "Report requires further information" message) even thought the setdatabaselogin has already been set. I have tried saving the reportdocument in viewstate and re-assigning the viewer Datasource property to it, that also fails. However, it only does it on some reports, and not others. (admittedly, the reports may have been created using different CR versions)
The viewer also displays data it should not be displaying when I attempt to scroll, when I do manage to get a report to run.
I am setting parameters dynamically at run time, whose values are stored in the SQL database.

To answer you question; Yes, I suspect that most of the users in this community have managed to successfully create web apps. And this is the tiniest of sampling of the developers out there...
A few suggestions;
1) Keep the posts to under 1200 characters. Otherwise, the formatting is lost which makes it difficult to read.
2) Try out a few sample apps from here:

Suggest; csharp_web_simplelogonengine.zip, csharp_web_simplelogonviewer.zip and csharp_web_subreport_logon.zip.
3) Start simple; one table, one field, no subreports. Hard code the database logon parameters. Convince your self that this does work. Increase the complexity - add fields, tables, subreports. Do not mix connection methods (e.g.; if ODBC for main, than ODBC for sub is a good idea, though not a requirement).

Crystal Report: irregular error not handled by the application component

The error message u201Cirregular error not handled by the application componentu201D comes up when I run any of the Crystal Report in the SAP Business One.
But this error happens only in the client Machines, from the Server I can run the report normally.

With this code , report gets displayed in the portlet but none of the actions on thre report like next page click , search button , opening subreport , clicking on drill-downs are working . The error in the explorer console is as shown below

When sending report to Adobe PDF via Visual FoxPro application programmatically, I need to suppress

When sending report to Adobe PDF via Visual FoxPro, SAS or other development system, programmatically, I need to suppress the dialog box and send report directly to AdobePDF, create the file. I will choose directory programmatically.
Are there options available that will suppess the dialog box, which stops the application.

Hello,
I have just search the word "widestring" in all the source files of CR VCL XI and the result is so surprise that only few widestrings are found but all of the rest is "string".
It is so ashamed for BussinessObject that they lied us that CR supports Unicode from version 9.0.
This is not the first time I have problem with Unicode in CR. CR does not recognize Unicode data of User Defined Function that made in Delphi then compiled into DLL file.

- I give all proxy details. In HTTP and HTTPS proxy tabs too.
one interesting thing:
- We publicate the same WebService with HTTP and HTTPS prefix.
- If I create a proxy for the WS with HTTP, everything is correct and works well.
- If I create a proxy for the WS with HTTPS, gives the error written the previous posts. (And can't create the logical port with SOAMANAGER)
I compare the 2 WSDL. It is the same, except the links. (HTTP and HTTPS) all others are same.
- And why it is possible in both case (HTTP, HTTPS) to create the proxy with SE80 from the WSDL URL? (And after the logical port was failed)
