When do I get the rebate for the free ipod with the macbook I bought?

I got the conformation of submitting my rebate on Aug 14th and I still havent gotten my rebate for the free iPod promotion. Anyone know how long this is supposed to take?

Lost rebates take about 8 weeks from submission to be returned. It simply hasn't been enough time.

You are on a Mac and that is a [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerning kerning] problem. Don't you see the same problem in other applications if you choose the same font, font-weight and font-size.
I only find one other kerning [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/789254 question] here -- it is marked unsolved. I find it strange that Firefox got involved with this at all rather than leaving such things to the operating system and font metrics.
Does the problem go away with "command+0" (zero) which resets [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Zoom_text_of_web_pages zoom level] to normal. If you mess with the font sizes in your preferences because you want larger print that would have the same effect.
Also found this one recently reported for [https://support.mozilla.com/questions/892222 Firefox 7 in ubuntu 11.04] which appears much worse. If it involves Firefox and specific operating systems it becomes a lot harder to diagnose who or what is responsible.

We´re getting 30 IPADS for our Preschool along with the survivor cases. How do we recharge them? Can we use the cart without taking off the case?

According to Griffin Technology's web site the Survivor case has plugs that "seal the dock connector, camera lens, headphone port, hold switch and volume controls." It looks like you cannot recharge while the case is on.
If I were you I would contact Griffin for confirmation on this and see if they have an alternative product for you.

HT3576 Can you get sound notifications for mail and iMessage with the new iPad. Under general sounds I have a sound selected for both of those. My volume is turned all the way up but I still don't get sound notifications with these apps. Suggestions?

I have sound turned on under general> sounds. The volume is all the way up and I can hear it when i adjust it. However under notifications sound is not an option for mail or iMessage. Just badges and alerts. Both of which are on. I would really like to hear my notifications. Any suggestions.

If you are having issues with a driver, then the only option is to remove iTunes and other associating software and then install iTunes again.

Unfortunately you've discovered too late how important it is to maintain an up-to-date backup of your iTunes library (and all other data of value). You could, before wiping the drive, have considered making use of a commercial data recovery service that could (albeit at considerable cost) have extracted your library from the hard disk, even if virus infected.
In the absence of that option, you will need to restore the content of your library from its original sources:
Depending on your location, you may be able to re-download any iTunes Store purchases that are still available on the Store
Likewise, most digital purchases from Amazon (including auto-rip copies of purchased CDs) should be available from the Amazon Cloud and via the Amazon Music application - the same may be true of other commercial sources for digital downloads
Content imported from your CDs will have to imported again
The specific situation that you describe regarding the music imported from your friend's external HDD suggests that either the source is badly organized and/or originates from a source other than iTunes (other media players may use alternative tags for information like artist, title, album, etc. that are not wholly consistent with how iTunes handle these). I am growing impatient not being able to use cross dissolve or titles.
Its going to be a pain having to back out to OS 10.5. This is beginning to be like Windows Vista.

You don't say what "..Snow Leopard Compatibility issue.." you're having.
My titles and Dissolves - and everything else - work perfectly with iMovie HD 6 and with iMovie '09 in Snow Leopard.
Perhaps you need to revert to QuickTime 7 ..just in case you over-wrote QT 7 with Snow Leopard's own QuickTime X when you upgraded to SL.
QT7 and QT X both sit happily alongside each other in Snow Leopard ..you might want to give that a try.
But I have no problem with any aspect of iMHD6 nor iM09 (..and no trouble with "stills"..) using Snow Leopard on a "late '08" MacBook Pro.
I haven't yet installed SL (Family Pack) on my Mac Mini ..I'll let SL throw away my QT7 on that, and will see if that causes any problems with iMovie. If it does, I'll then download and re-install QT7 and see if that fixes any problems. But don't hold your breath ..I may report back tomorrow, but today I'm pretty busy! I'll do my best, though..
