When do services fail, while start/restart the services

Hi All,
when do we have chance of services get fail while start/restart it (consider that everything is properly configured and instaled).
and How do i troubleshoot it.
can anyone come across related this issue, your experices will be helpful.

When Essbase.sec file got corrupted services will fail frequently.
If you have back up of essbase.sec then replace it and restart the services or you need to create the essbase.sec file from starting.

I have installed the sneak preview version of SAP NetWeaver WAS 6.4 for default Database MaxDB. While developing a simple application to manage simple database table citymaster with 2 columns in jsp I am getting error as
Exception e com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at : java.comp.
Looking at visual admin tool for WAS 6.4 all the entries are in color blue but the last entry for 'DATASOURCE' is in RED color where 'java.comp/env/JDBC/DATASOURCE' is the jndi reference created for default DataSource.
Can any one help me that why the last entry is in RED and it that say that some error has occured or that entry is not started then how to start that?

I have checked the Visual Administrator's JNDI Registry service entry in the ejbContexts node but there is no entry for the project which I have created.
It get deployed while I right click on the project's ear file and click on "Deploy on J2EE Engine". But same as before while checking in Browserthe site gives the same error...

HT1926 Installation fails because Apple Mobile Device Service failed to start?

When I attempted to update ITunes, it failed at the starting services point because "Apple Mobile Device Service failed to start". The ignore button would not work. Retry did not fix it. I have deleted all ITunes from my computer, restarted, and attempted a new install. Same problem. Help.

The frequently suggested repair steps listed in comments at http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923 and http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1926 did not work for me yesterday when I attempted for an entire day to fix this commonly reported problem with the newest iTunes update. I now realize that I overlooked one step listed in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1923.
My computer has a Windows 64 bit operating system. I should have paid attention to this instruction:
"If you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll need to confirm that the following folders have been removed:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Bonjour
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes\
C:\Program Files (x86)\iPod\ "
Tonight, I removed those previous version files from the Program Files (x86) directory and executed the rest of the steps listed. Success resulted. Hi, I'm trying to re-install the latest iTunes on my Gateway w/ Windows XP. I had to update it a while back to put songs on my brother's iPod, but my computer froze halfway through and nothing has worked right since.
I keep getting the message "Service 'Bonjour Service' (Bonjour Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
I looked through older discussions that told me to go to right click My Computer - Manage - Services and Applications - Services - Find Bonjour and restart it.
Well, the only option that I can click on is Start. When I do, it says "Windows could not restart the Bonjour Service service on Local Computer. Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."
Where do I go from here? Help would be greatly appreciated, I've been trying to fix this for over a year now with no dice. Also, I cannot do a factory reset (last effort) because it says the administor's account is disabled and I do not have the disc.

Sorry if double posting is a no-no here, but I forgot to add that I've already tried disabling Spyware Doctor.

Is there a solution to the 'iPod Service failed to start' install problem?

Like a lot of people, I have this problem that when I try to install iTunes 7 on Windows I get this error at the end:
Service 'iPod Service' (iPod Service) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I tried various methods to solve this and none of them worked.
Is there finally a solution from Apple regarding this issue?
I am about to purchase an iPod Classic and this is a major drawback for me.

Methods that I already tried (that I can remember):
1. Uninstall iTunes + QuickTime and delete everything from the hard drive that's related to apple, including the registry, used CCleaner and install iTunes 7.5 - didn't work.
2. run msconfig, disable all services (with MS services hidden) and startup apps, restarting and trying to install it again - didn't work.
3. Trying to start the service manually with services.msc during the installation when the error appears - gives me an error.
I did manage to install iTunes 7.0.2 (from OldVersion.com) and I tried to install iTunes 7.5 on top of it with the same results.

Error when doing new download. Says "Apple Mobile Device Service" failed to start. I cannot get past this. HELP!

Went to install new iTunes download. Now get an error when trying to do this. I uninstalled iTunes completely and now is see "apple mobile device service" failed to start. I now cannot get iTunes back on my PC. HELP!!

For those who updated iTunes and displaying the error "Windows error 193 or similar," a way to still use the iTunes download the 11.1.3.8 version of iTunes and install. Before installing something must be done:
* Step 1 - Uninstall the following programs:
1) Apple Software Update
2) Bonjour
3) iTunes.
Step 2 - Install version iTunes 11.1.3.8
If it shows the error "iTunes Library.itl" the solution is simple. Only delete the file in the C: \ Users \ Name \ Music \ iTunes called iTunes Library.itl.
Note: When you open the older version will ask if you want to update. Do not upgrade because it will give the same error in the update.
It is the hint. Could not say it is a solution, but a way to take advantage of the program for a while and wait for an Apple solution. Sincerely Ricardo.

I'm installing the newest itunes 64 bit on my win 7 64 bit professional os. using the itunes installer it loads itunes part way and then i get an error message saying that bonjour service failed to start. i cant get itunes any further. i have to back out

I can't retry, ignore only cancel which un-installs all that it has installed and reverts me to the last version which i had. any idea?

Sometimes we can get past that one by disabling the Bonjour Service prior to the install.
In your Start menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Perhaps maximise the screen to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the Bonjour Service and select "Properties".
In the General tab, set the Startup type to "Disabled":
... and click OK.
Restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?

After restarting the Services, Foundation service is not starting

Recently, i have applied patch and restarted the services, later found that foundation services is not starting. I have referred the logs and it showing below error.

I have logged to Weblogic server and checked, the foundation service is not started.
We dont have the backup of installation folder.
I manually edited the user name and password and started the services, but no luck.
Do any one idea about processBootProperties.cmd, shall i trigger it to get the new boot.properties.

When upgrading iTunes from Version 7 to the newest version, I got an error message stating "Service, 'iPod Service' failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient priviledges to start system services." So I canceled the download and rolled back to Version 7 again. I did notice that now I'm getting an error message when I start up Version 7, stating that it could not start the iPod service. Hive_1074 the integration service failed to start hive session

i am using Informatica 9.6.1 BIG Data Edition developer tool.I am trying load data from hive to hive database table, I am able to import and view data from hive database, but when mapping run it got failed. Below error message captured at mapping log. Windows 8 Hyper-V - Virtual Machine Management Service failed to start the virtual machine

I have Hyper-v running on Dell Precision T3600 with Windows 8 OS. I am trying to start a VM (called Windows8VM) to install Windows 8 in the hyper-v virtual machine, but I keep getting the following message:

Failed to start the virtual machine "Windows8VM" because one of the Hyper-V components is not running.

The Virtual Machine Management Services failed to start the virtual machine "Windows8VM" because one of the Hyper-V components is not running.
I have turned the hyper-v feature on in the "Turn Windows feature on or off. The BIOS has virtualization enable. Help!!! driving me nuts for a week now.

Okay, I turned off hyper-v, went to bios and enabled Intel TXT(LT-SX) Configuration. Made sure that both Virtualization and VT for Direct I/0 are on. Next, I turned on Hyper-V and I create a brand new Virtual Machine call Windows8 and had
the DVD point to Windows8 ISO file on hard drive. When I clicked on start, it stayed in the Starting status mode for about 5 minutes. Then of course it failed. I looked at the Hyper-V-VMMS log and here is what it output:

With a recent update of itunes, ( a couple weeks ago), when plugging in my iphone, itunes did not automatically launch...and when manually selecting itune to open I recieve the statement ...
"application itunes helper.exe - mobile me service failed to start becasue missing MSVCR80.dll" ?
I have gone to the itunes site and reloaded itunes....and did not fix the problem. ....help

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

IP Helper Service causes Session "" failed to start with the following error: 0xC000000D

I have a Windows 8.1 Pro version. In the event viewer I can see that the error `Session "" failed to start with the following error: 0xC000000D´ is registered every time I boot my laptop.
I am 100% sure that this is related to the IP Helper Service (iphlpsvc) because the error is logged every time I manually restart the service.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue? I know I could disable the service but I prefer not to do it.

Hi,
IP Helper (service name 'iphlpsvc') is apparently designed to improve a Windows PC's support for IPv6 network protocol.
I suggest you try enable the dump collection by copying following words into notepad, saving it as dump.reg and importing it:
